Bought this as a gift for my daughter, who wants to learn Japanese. She seems to like the system, got through level 1 but hasn't used it in a while. My biggest complaint is that when I tried to download it, Rosetta Stone's server rejected the pass code, and I had to call up their customer service to get them to reactivate the code, which added several hours to the installation time before my daughter could use it. On the bright side, their customer support did fix the problem the same day, and it seems to work on both Mac and Windows laptops, although it is difficult to set the same user up on both, and I'm not sure it transfers your progress from one to the other. While the normal retail price of this is ridiculous, it is probably worth the sale price I paid for it.

Rosetta Stone is a great language learning program. However, it is for the committed and for those who truly want to learn Japanese or other languages. It starts you off at a fast pace and you need to keep up and continue till the end.

The Rosetta stone Japanese program combines visual and auditory practice. I especially like the online practice and games that make language learning fun.

I purchased the original Rosetta back in 2005, this new version is above and beyond my expectations. Simple to use and you can sync with other laptops and smartphones. Grab and go

The only problem i had with this program was trying to set it up the directions weren't correct and customer service had to activate my code

After learning hiragana and katakana on my own, I found this program to be a good supplementary tool for my ongoing language study.

Bought this for a teen anime fan who wanted to learn the language. She loves it! Bought on sale for a great price. So glad we're expanding her world

My kids love anime and they are hooked on this program learning the basics of the japanese language. A great way to begin! We love it!

This is a very intuitive, immersive, and hands on learning tool that feels more like just naturally slipping into the language than sitting and staring at a book for hours on end.

I was skeptical about learning a new language at first, but this has been so much fun. My girlfriend has decided she wants to learn it as well. We've been practicing with each other! Would have given 5 stars, but after I installed everything I thought I was finished, so I threw away the box . When I got around to booting everything up, I needed a passcode that was on the box, so I had to go find it. My suggestion is to keep everything.. duh!

This was a great purchase for me during the holidays, for $129. No other store had it this low, Best Buy did it again. The training course was made easy learn.

It seems scary to do a program with no English at all but its actuallly not hard and after the first few lessons your realise how much your learning

Directions are simple and set up is easy. However, this program is for those really committed to learn the language that have time to put in with the program. Uses pictures as a learning tool, so for those who are visual learners this might be great for you.

I love it, I just spend 30-40 minutes a day, I've been learning something new everyday and integrates new and old vocabulary very well. I wish the online subscription was longer, but the 3 months free its worth it, use it as much as possible.

My daughter will be taking Japanese in the Fall 2016 so I purchased Rosetta Stone to study over the summer so that she could prepare. Best Buy in Bowie is right by my house and they are always helpful.

Pull out. Install. Use. Simplicity. Gotta love it!

I have learned a lot so far. Not yet would I say I speak Japanese but I have learned a lot of things YouTube or books would not reach me so that is a plus.

I would have liked to learn Japanese with the help of a person but Rosetta Stone is a perfect substitute.
