This shredder has been quite nice. It is quieter than my last one and turns the paper into confetti. It has a removable front-loading bin that has considerable storage for shredded paper. The bin has a window so you can see when the paper is getting full. The power button is located on the top, which for me is more convenient than my last one with the button on the back. The paper feeder is a little different in that you feed it horizontally instead of vertically (from the picture, the paper slides in between the black plastic and the silver plastic lid toward the front), which does seem to add a degree of safety (not foolproof, just more safe). I would definitely buy it again!

This, for home use, shredder serves just like a professional, office product at a very reasonable price. I checked with ROYAL and they verified that NO OIL is ever needed to maintain service for this unit. The device is that stout! I have operated my new shredder for six weeks without ever experiencing any problems. I have now owned several shredders and they have never lasted too long. This particular unit appears to be strong enough to last a long time. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a serious shredder.

This shredder is the only, truly powerful paper eater we have found in 30 years (even compared with larger commercial shredders). Effortlessly chews up at least 18 sheets as claimed, very smoothly. No blade lubrication requirements. Simple, easy to operate buttons, convenient window. It is cross-cut pieces are a bit larger than micro-shreds, but that's not a concern for the average user. It is taller than most, and has a slightly awkward paper feed angle, depending on where you place it, but it is the fiercest, hungriest paper eater ever! I bought a spare in case they become unavailable in the future.

I like that I can turn the power on and off or reverse. It's a fast shredder and let's me know when I need to empty the container. I like that it's on wheel so I can move it when vacuuming my home office.

Best shredder I’ve owned. Takes a long time to become full. I line mine with a regular kitchen trash bag. Shredder also cuts credit cards

Shredder does what it’s supposed to do. All that junk mail, credit card offers, bills you just rather not see? Yup stack it up and this shredder will eat it with no issue. I would recommend getting some lubricating sheets to keep the blades sharp and running smooth.

So far this has been one of the best shredders I've purchased. Almost never gets jamed and can do ALOT of work before it needs a break to cool off.

This is one of the best shredders I have purchased over the years. Fast and does not jam the way that the others do because of the feeder.
