Sturdy Stand but.....

Bought the stand in the past and I’ve had it over for 8 years. It broke so I had to buy another. The new one actually isn’t as durable as the old one, like it’s made with cheaper material. It’s really hard to open.
I pinched my finger a couple times initially trying to get it to open up. Seemed to be only one side, but still a good stand. It’s seems to be easier to open the more I use it
