A great movie presented in a great collection. Worth the purchase if you’re a criterion collector or otherwise.

All of Wes Anderson's work has a distinct story book feel to it, and there is no better example than Rushmore. Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman give career defining performances, and the supporting cast round off an excellent movie.

Wes Anderson makes nothing but gold and you should own all of his movies.

If you have any kind of sense of humor, you will love this movie. If you haven't seen it, don't even bother renting it. Just go ahead and buy it. The only problem is that the Blu Ray disc won't play on all PS3s. My boyfriend and I both have PS3 Slims; his a newer model, and mine is an older one that I bought refurbished. One of us has more GB than the other, but I forget which is which and I'm not sure that's even related. For whatever reason, mine will play the Blu Ray and his won't. If the Playstation 3 is your only source for a Blu Ray player, you might want to get the DVD instead. Or, better yet, just go ahead and buy a cheap Blu Ray player because there are a lot of discs that won't play on a PS3 for some reason.

Great story of awkward teenagers and adults. Funny. This is my favorite Wes Anderson film. If you like this, I would also recommend "Election" with Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon

The transfer isn't always perfect, but the movie, features, and artwork are. I love collecting Wes Anderson films as even the case looks like something that belongs on a book shelf for classic books. Sic Transit Gloria!

I really enjoyed this early Wes Anderson film. It is fun to watch Bill Murray in this one.

Just so you know, this isn't just the widescreen version, it's the Criterion Edition and has a lot of bonuses and that's why it's so expensive (although it is still to expensive even for the special edition). Rushmore is one of the greatest comedies and could be the greatest Indie Comedy. Great acting, great writing, great cinematography, and one of the best soundtracks ever. The Criterion Edition gives a lot of great extras and is worth the extra money if you love Wes Anderson movies.

Max Fischer is a student at Rushmore Academy who cares far more about his endless extra-cirricular activites than he does his grades. His life is turned upside down when both he and a friend (an adult father of his classmate) fall in love with a new teacher at the school and find themselves a battle for the woman's affections. Hilarious and heartfelt, Rushmore is definitely a winner.

If you don't already know, this film is a masterpiece. The second film from director WES ANDERSON has been praised by critics and hundreds of new moviemakers for almost a decade. CRITERION COLLECTION brings this favorite comedy home. Criterion incorporates perfect pakaging, abundant extra features and the library of work from some of the most inspired and creative director's speaks for itself. I highly recomend this two-disc set but with an added heads up. 1998 was the year this movie was released. 2008 marks the 10th anniversary. It has'nt been announced but there could be a commemerative release that could include cast reunion interviews or a follow up documentary. If you love RUSHMORE you'll want this version. I own this dvd and I'm still waiting for the 10th anniversary edition.

One of Wes Anderson's greatest films! Beware, if you're not familiar with Anderson's Dry humor, do not buy this but its hard to find somebody who doesn't like this film!

I adore this film. It is so creative and random. Wes Anderson is a genius. Excellent film.

Great movie. Very dry but very funny humor. Jason Schwartzman does an excellent job portraying his characters eccentric, caring, ambitious but not bright qualities.
