    I am a little disappointed in Ryan's effort. The music is very close to the last album and maybe that's what he wanted. No song jumps out at me and that's what I look for. I think he needs to experiment a little more and continue to grow.

    Sounds good but after a couple of listens there's not much below the surface. A rare instance where I'd say a record actually misses a load of lead guitar on it.

    Ryan Adams is a musical chameleon that has never fit into one genre specifically but has mastered transcending multiple ones. With his new album, Adams channels his inner Tom Petty to release a collection of tracks that can be enjoyed by listeners young and old.
