This case is very nice. I like the interactive front screen without actually having to touch the phone when listening to music or answering phone calls. It prevents the phone from getting scratches from inside my pocket. The backstand is convenient, but sometimes it slides off. It does protect the whole case and getting the s pen is no issue. When opening the case it is awkward to hold because of how much it sticks out when flapped behind the phone. Not too sure how sturdy it is but the has not popped out of the case yet.

Although somewhat overpriced, the Note 8 S-View Folio Case is great looking and very protective. It's cool, somewhat mirrored appearance of the case's front gives it a sleek futuristic look...a nice match for the Note 8. It adds bulk to the phone itself (that I suspect many people might not like), yet I found the Note 8 to be too thin and slippery to safely handle. The Folio case adds just enough thickness to securely hold the Note 8. The materials are much nicer than the simulated leather cases for previous Note phones. When answering the phone, I set up the Note 8 to answer by pressing the Volume+ button instead of side sweeping the icon. I find this much more convenient. Emails, notifications (and such) show up on the front and pressing the icons takes you directly to the message when opening the case. Another nice feature is that the case can be folded into a stand for viewing videos.

it's a good solid case I got mine in Black. I did not realizer realized how much a little black box would blend into everything. every time I put it on the couch or the table I have to go looking for it. Considering the price of the Note 8 I felt I needed a case and the note 8 is a somewhat awkwardly size and very slippery phone, I was also getting pressure from my other half to get one.I definitely feel my phone is safer with this case.., but, with my Edge 7, I had one of those leather wallet folio cases that cost about 15 bucks.With the folio case, I had a very comfortable and secure grip on my phone also with the leather padding I felt like I could drop my phone anytime and it would be fine. my partner had the clear flip case on his s7 edge and he broke the front of it in 5 months. If I wasn't being rushed in getting a case I would have got the leather Spriggan case

I have used the Samsung S View cover on my last 2 Samsung phones, an S5 and S7 Edge. I really like the way it protects the screen while it is in my pocket. This version for the Note 8 however has some room for improvement. Pros: Screen is covered and protected. You can talk on the phone when the cover is closed. You can answer or reject a call without opening the cover. You can see the time and other information with the cover closed. Cons: Bulky. The S View covers I had on my previous phones weren't near a thick as this one. No options for view with the cover closed. No access to camera with cover closed. With the fingerprint scanner being moved to the back this case impedes the access somewhat. Not as responsive with cover closed as previous versions. I tried a different case with my S7 Edge and ended up with a broken screen. After I got it repaired I switched to the S View cover and despite several drops similar to the one that broke my screen the phone is still in like new condition. I will put up with the loss of features for the protection. I ordered this case before receiving my Note 8 and have had it on from the moment I took the phone out of the box.

When I picked up my Galaxy Note8 at BestBuy from a pre-order, I wanted a really good folio type cover. My previous protector for my S6Edge was just an edge and backside case. It would turn on in my pocket and lose battery life (beside the occasional POCKET CALL!). I was able to have this one installed at the store (for a 'try-on') to see how I liked it. I even slipped it into my cross-body bag to see the fit (tight). but it slides in really well....I do not find it bulky and can see who's calling, and the time right thru the cover. I love this cover! I haven't needed this stand feature yet, but I did want the feature due to the fact that the cameras are so awesome on the GalaxyNote 8

I would surely recommend this phone to anyone who owns a Samsung phone. This phone not only has a kick stand, you can also answer calls and see the time in a cool led display. It's the perfect addition to my new note 8. They have a variety of colors too from black, space gray, and midnight blue.

This is one of the best looking cases for the Note 8 I have seen so far. Everyone loves the way it looks and functions. I love how it integrates with the phone's functionalities and adds to it. The only problem for me is that its too slippery. I would add some rubber to avoid issues.

This is the first case that I have ever seen & purchased that I can close and hold to my ear when talking on the phone. It's functionality while closed was a factor in my decision to purchase. Another factor, is it hooks within the case to become a stand so I can watch or read whatever while it's on a flat surface. I like after a few seconds it will screen lock when closed. While closed, you can see the time, date, battery percentage, who's calling, answer, end, or reject a call, swipe to control music (play, pause, & skip), and see notifications. Also while closed, you can control the volume & access Bixby (I don't use Bixby) on the spine of the case. The phone is securely held in the case. The part of the case that holds the phone, snaps/connects onto the inside of the back cover via magnets. The ports, pen, & power button are easily accessible. The mic & speaker are not covered so the sound is clear for listening and speaking. When you are video recording and your case closes the video recording will stop. When you are using the Samsung Notes app while using the mic for dictation, the dictation will continue with the case closed & phone locked. Once you open the case the dictation stops, you can simply resume with a quick tap in the Samsung Notes app. [You can't secretly video record] Off topic side note: I miss the voice recorder app from my Note 3 that was one of the phone's preset apps. Being able to control my phone without opening the case is something I really like & something I never experienced with my last phone case for my Note 3, my first smartphone (I had until Dec 2018). Overall, this is a great case.

Fits the Note8 the way it should, for some basics, no need to open cover, it is fairly translucent, and in my case, I can silence the alarm in the mornings without opening cover. Haven't dropped the phone yet, so don't know how well the drop protection will be.

I think the case looks great and allows you to view time/date and call info. The only problem with these cases is the front scratches easy with regular use. I would suggest keeping it alone in your pocket as keys or change can cause scratches on the front.

Great case for those more careful with their phones. It matches the phone very well, however, it is a fingerprint magnet. Feels sturdy and locks the phone in place, but I'm not confident it will hold up to direct contact resulting from a drop.

A gorgeous phone already and with this case it makes it even more gorgeous. I love that you can see all your messages and reply to call without flipping it open so screen can stay protected when closed. Extremely satisfied!!!!

I always have gotten the flp case with my Note phones. It protects the screen & provides additional functionality because of having it.

I bought this case for my wife and she loves it. The case is almost the size of the phone (Sleek design) and she loves that you can see the notifications on the see through screen and answer calls without opening the case.

I can't believe that I've owned this folio case for two years already. It's great. It protected my phone each time I dropped it. Also, I like the way that the case folds into a triangle. I am able to set it on my bed and watch TV on my phone before I fall asleep. The phone does not tip over. My only concern: I have to wipe the top of the case almost daily. The surface reflects every smudge and fingerprint.

The case itself is overpriced but its protection of the phone is pretty good. Viewing the always on display and answering the phone without having to open the cover is also very helpful.

I am so happy I went with this, it's perfect and I opted to go without the glass protection since got in way and not worth the price as I feel this offers excellent protection.
