I came across the Samsonite -Windguard and it seemed pretty sturdy but still I was skeptical about it. Anyway I did purchase it and I am glad I did. It's one of the best I've purchased before. It is sturdy as I was hoping and I'm pretty sure it will last long enough unlike the previous ones I've purchased. I've used it several time now in heavy rain and strong winds without any issue. Thinking of buying more in the future and highly recommend to others.

We have had no wind and rain since I purchased it so I cannot comment on the windproof factor, but it does appear to be sturdier than any other umbrella I have ever owned.
