    Had this less than 2 years and fan doesnt work, replaced the handle once (and its broken again) and the inside frame of the door is cracked. Im shocked it still turns on at this point. Glad its not available anymore so no one else cn buy it.

    Stainless Steel Material Dents and Scratches

    Completely broke within 2 years! Samsung gave me the complete run around sending a repair person twice for 5+ hours. Still broken and after all of that refused to replace

    don't waste you money , bough on December 2020 and totally broke by June 2022, customer service a nightmare, Even the repair man won't repair Samsung..

    TL;DR Overall, this microwave has questionable build quality with poor features. It functions as a microwave, but for the price I expected a lot more. I don't see this microwave holding up more than five years or so given the quality of the plastic and touch buttons. Unless this microwave finds itself below $100, I would avoid it. This microwave was purchased to replace a 12 year old beast that finally quit working. We regret that decision. To start off, the microwave was damaged out of the box. The vent area near the back was noticeably dented. Since it was on an area of the device that would be hidden, and since it was mainly cosmetic damage, we ignored it. The device itself isn't of the best quality with most of the housing being plastic that feels like it won't hold up to the test of time. Specifically, the plastic around the front vent and door seem to be of a cheaper quality that, over time and use, will become brittle and damage easily. The buttons on the front of the device are stiff and require a decent amount of force to register, which makes me wonder how easily they'll become desensitized from use. The vent works as well as an internal vent can, meaning not well, and has the settings of loud or LOUD. The under-light works as a night light, but isn't bright enough to do much by. The overall build quality makes me think we'll be replacing this in less than the 12 years we got out of our old microwave. Build quality can be put aside if the microwave itself works well. And I do admit that the microwave does work. You put things in, you put in the time, start it, and things become heated. The problem lies in that execution. The pre-programmed buttons are not very useful to the point that you might as well ignore them in favor of your better judgement. Things either ended up overcooked/burnt (popcorn) or undercooked/cool (pizza). Trying to use the +30sec button with these pre-programmed times didn't work, making both functions pointless. In addition, the +30sec button doesn't start the microwave. I was quite fond of my old microwave's ability to make tea. Put the tea in, press the +30sec button to 2 minutes, and then the machine would automatically start working. This microwave does not do that. Using the +30sec button doesn't turn the microwave on in this fashion; you'll still need to press the start button to begin cooking. It's a minor inconvenience, but one that really irks me. What annoys me even more is this microwave's incessant beeping. This microwave will alert you when its timer runs out, like a standard microwave, but the microwave will continue to beep every few seconds until you open it/press a button. It's infuriating, especially since most things require a minute or two to cool (or steep in the case of tea) before being used/moved. And you can't turn it off. Numerous times now I've been in the middle of something I can't tear myself away from (tempering a sauce, hands covered in meat slime, etc) and the microwave is just beeping away. Yeah, I get it, I used you, now SHUT UP! There's no silent function. There's no changing when it beeps. It just beeps. There is an Eco button, but it is worthless. The Eco button will turn off the led clock, but as soon as you use the microwave again it will revert back to being on all the time. So, every time you use the microwave you need to remember to press the Eco button to turn the clock off. Why even have the function if it won't remember its previous state. There's one final thing. This microwave has a mechanical problem. If the door is pulled slightly the microwave will turn on. If the door is fully opened it turns off, and if released while pulling but before the door is opened it will turn off, but there is this slight area where if enough pressure is applied it will turn on without any buttons being pressed. This isn't an issue in and of itself, as normal use won't cause this issue to occur often, but if that sort of glitch slipped through the testing phase out to market then I wonder what other glitches will popup over time.

    Simple to operate. Nice and quiet, and heats things quickly. The only con is that the light on the bottom of the stove could be a bit brighter. Overall, it's a good value for the money.

    installation was easy and straightforward. very limited in functionality, which is fine. I have two critiques of this model. First, you have to press the buttons quite hard and dead-center for them to accept your command. Second, the unit is very loud. My wife and I call it the freight train because that is what it sounds like.

    My neighbor and I installed this Microwave oven with no problems at all. The templates and instructions for installation are easy to follow. The buttons are easy to press and everything works perfectly. It is very powerful too, and the exhaust is really good picking up the steam from cooking on the range. The light is 2 stages and a pleading brightness, not so harsh.

    Good microwave; Not a Good Ventilation System

    As a microwave, it deserves 5-star. Large capacity, heat up food evenly and it will remind you to remove heated items once it is done. As a ventilation system, it is very bad. The spec says its CFM is 300. It sounds like 3000 (very very loud), yet it functions like 3 (very very weak). Both smoke and smell linger long after cooking even the unit was on high the whole time. I previously owned a 250 CFM Broan under-cabinet range hood. That unit is less noisy, much more efficient, with much brighter lights. This Samsung unit comes with an attractive price tag but you should know that you are really paying for a good microwave only.

    Micrwoave OK, handle poor quality

    I bought this to replace the LG that had died. It fit in almost the same space as the LG which was critical because we have granite backspash up to the microwave. The Samsung works fine. except the handle broke twice. Checking online for how to repair the handle I found out that many owners had the same problem. The plastic handle that screws into the micrwoave breaks. If you have to call in for service out of warranty, you might as well buy a new microwave as the cost for service is equal to buying a new Samsung.

    Finally a (1996) GE space saver replacement

    I finally found a replacement for my 22 year old GE spacesaver microwave over. This Frigidaire microwave fits without any modifications to my cabinet or backsplash. Its depth is about 1" more than the GE but the height is same. The 1" more is perfect since the vents sits outside of my top cabinet. I did encounter one problem. The charcoal filter was missing. Called Frigidare and they expedited a filter to me for free. I looked for years for a replacement microwave that would fit into my cabinet space. Finally found one that fits and is stainless steel!
