We have the fan exhausted through the roof and it just performs badly. Very week exhaust fan. Boil water and the microwave outer shell gets covered in fog and water so bad. Fan vent hardly pulls anything at all.

The technician told that that it would cost between $450-500 to replace the transformer. Better to get a new microwave than spending $450 on repair. The Samsung microwave is much lighter and has the same hardware for hanging above the stove as the Jenn-air. It works great if you only use it for heating and it costs a lot less than our old microwave.
