We needed a new microwave as the one that came with the house bit the dust. This had good reviews and ratings so we gave it a go. It was very easy to install, and there were no hidden gotchas that ended up costing extra. It is not light as microwaves go, so a helper is a plus. It has all sorts of fancy stuff on it, I just press the "add 30 seconds" button a bunch of times and it works. I'm sure someone has used the functions, but not I.

We bought this microwave as part of a Samsung package and had to replace the dishwasher and now the microwave. (fridge and clothes washer work fine) The Microwave started to display the -SE- error after about 6 months. Called support and they sent out a repair. During the repair the top grill (cheap plastic despite this being a "stainless steal" model) broke and also had to be replaced. all free of charge. This repair only lasted a couple months and we started getting the -SE- error again. Now they are just going to refund out money and let us pick out a new microwave.

Microwave has met & exceeded my expectations. It was fairly easy to install and has performed great.

Purchased 6/23/11. Istalled by Best Buy on 6/29/11. Tried to cook a potato and unit shutdown after @ 1 minute & took @ 20 minutes before control panel lights came back on. Same thing happened when trying to heat vegetables in their microwaveable package and when in a separate casserole dish. Worked ok to reheat coffee or boil water in a cup. Called Samsung. They said it must be broken. Called Geek Squad 7/18/11. They arranged service call for 7/20. Service tech's said it was broken and took microwave saying they would have it back to us by 7/29/11. On 8/1/11 WE called service company and Best Buy and could not get a new re-installation estimate. On 8/15/11 service company called to say it was fixed.

This is a great value for the price! The oven is much more quiet than our previous maytag microwave. I saw a few comments previously about the over the range lighting and found this to be better than what I previously had. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a soften butter feature that my last one had. Since I bake quite a lot, this is the only thing I miss.

I love this microwave, it works well. It is not noisy, I love having the shelf inside so you can heat up several things at the same time. Installation was fairly easy and delivery was prompt. We've had it for a couple of months and use it frequently. Have not had any problems whatsoever.

Bought this as a upgrade.. Love the looks and very powerfull from what i had before

Paid $300 for a microwave that just up and died after having it for only 15 months and the first two months it sat in a box until we finished remodeling the kitchen. All I can say is, it must not of liked my cauliflower, because that is what I was making when the microwave decided to quit all together. LOL When you pay $300 for an appliance you would expect the appliance to last for at least 5 years. All done with Samsung....back to my reliable Maytag or Frigidaire

We love this microwave! This is our second microwave with sensor technology. It senses when your food is done! Fabulous for popcorn and potatoes. We had one that had the table go back and forth instead of in a circle. I think the rotating works better. Well anyway...our board went out on the old one. We got this one cheaper than the repair would have been and could not be happier.

VENT FAN IS VERY NOISY. GREAT UNIT OTHER THAN THAT. VERY GOOD PRCE.

This microwave is easy to use and totally fulfills our needs.

This microwave quit after 6 months. I have been fighting with Samsung for over a month to fix it under warranty. I did not buy the Best Buy warranty because you figure a microwave should last a year or two. Wrong!!! I am using my 25 year old Amana boat anchor microwave now. Friends purchased a set of Samsung frontload washer and dryer with the Best Buy warrenty. After 6 months the water pump went out and would have cost $600.00 dollors to fix without the warrenty. I am not impressed with Samsung. Will never buy samsung anything!!!

I bought this instead hood. It does great job, but fan has to be setup an level 4 or 5. match perfect with my LG range. The best choice for $250.

The Samsung 1.8 cu.ft microwave is pretty good and very easy to install

We bought this microwave based on Consumer Reports recommendation. Up until 2 days ago I would have given it 5 stars, but unfortunately after less than 2 years we awoke to it chiming every few minutes with a "SE" code error. After much research we see where a lot of others have had this same problem and some with an even shorter lapsed time. So after debate we have decided that it makes more sense to purchase yet another new microwave. We were very light users of the microwave so it is disappointing to be in this position after such a short amount of time. So if you buy this microwave I would buy the additional protection. It was great for as long as it lasted...I only hope to go this way....quick, and without warning.

We bought this for our new renovation. Too bad it didn't last. My mistake was not to take the extended warrenty out with Best Buy. Who thought you would need it. Learned my lesson.

The start button stopped working on this microwave after just 14 months! My last microwave was still working after 28 years, so I'm not hard on them. Samsung was no help. Definitely not worth repairing - I'll buy a better unit which will cost less in the long run. I'll never buy Samsung again. This is my first negative product review ever - not a complainer, but would like to keep people from making the same mistake I did.

Does the trick, every feature works fine, average install; looks great and matches the other appliances.
