Good computer for my 10 year old perfect size and durability

A Samsung Chromebook for $99? Sign me up! It's a nice little unit for a hundred bucks. Small and light, but a solid build. It runs on Chrome (obviously) so with not a lot of bloat to weigh it down it's ready to go seconds after powering on. Sign into your Google account and you're off to the races! Or, not.... the 2 GB RAM can make certain tasks a little cumbersome, especially streaming video. But, hey. It was only $99, right? You'll be thinking that a lot as you use this machine. 16GB isn't a lot of storage, but at least that's expandable. A Chromebook is essentially a glorified Android tablet for enhanced use and multitasking. This one does the job okay.

Wow, terribly disappointed. Got a great deal on this for $99 on Black Friday sale 2018. Have a Acer Chromebook and wanted another to keep at the office. While the specs seemed pretty typical for my needs, however I forgot to check screen resolution. Man, this thing is pretty unusable...screen is grainy and text is disjointed. Doubled check the settings and set to best size for this type of screen but in a world of HD screens everywhere I had forgotten what it was like back in like 1995 when screen resolution was this poor. It is unusable and I will be returning it. Learned once again a $99 sale on a laptop probably means that it's worth only $99, that's the case in this situation. Don't buy...

Brought it for an 8 year old for a Christmas present, she loves it, downloaded school work to help with homework, easy to use, keyboard just the right size, also learning how to type by downloading an application. Loves watching movies, pretty much takes her chrome book where ever she goes.

I purchased this laptop for my son who needed it to video stream his classes for homeschooling. It’s the perfect size for his desk and serves its purpose perfectly.

Another great buy as part of the Deal of the Day special. I also was able to use a student discount since I was purchasing it for her. I got the Chromebook for $100. It works well and fits my daughter basic needs. Now she has experience with Google applications just like she have with MS Office applications or IOS applications.

This is a great small laptop. I loved this. But I wanted more from my Chromebook so I returned it and picked up a Dell Inspiron 14" 2-in-1. I still recommend this laptop, especially if you can buy it at $100 or less.

We got this Chromebook just to read email and access the internet. So far so good. No glitches or issues setting up. Set up is very easy if u already have a Google account. Not a lot of frills. Small and lightweight. Perfect for just surfing. We have not tried to download any programs.
