Have been looking around for a counter depth and this is the cheapest one they have (not in a bad way) . It looks great since it has LED lights and it's a Samsung so they all have the digital inverter with 10 year warranty. No ice or water dispenser on door really clean up the look. Tried to get stainless platinum but apparently they are no longer making them and after a month of trying to get it delivered we just chose the real stainless steel instead (which is honestly a nicer material and finish anyway). Stainless platinum is magnetic but this stainless steel version is not (sides are magnetic though). Normal size pizza boxes and other large items won't fit. Not many large drink container storage areas without moving shelves or laying soda bottles (2 liters) on their sides. After almost a month still has a plasticy smell to it, haven't used Armor All freshener yet but will most likely need to. Be aware that this fridge has no filter and I would suggest adding an in-line filter for the ice-maker. Ability to turn ice off with a button is great and it also has a digital display of temperature of the fridge and freezer along with an alarm (if door is open for a few minutes), an air fresh lock seal on freezer (seals out air almost like a vacuum suction type effect when closed), and an energy saver button that supposedly saves energy. Water line in for ice maker is 1/4" plastic and will fit in with easy quick connects (no metal fittings). Fridge is fairly quiet, you can still hear compressor but nothing louder than any fridge I've ever had. Power box is on top so that adds another few inches to top of fridge height. Space is kinda small but it's definitely a nice looking fridge inside and out. Would recommend if you want to save money and still get a counter depth and French doors.

I bought this Samsung refrigerator, RF18HFENBSR, on April 2016. It worked ok for 10 months then I noticed "not cooling" enough over time. I kept lowering the set temperature and worked a little while, then "not cooling" again over time. It took about 4 months to figure out the real problem. I found some ice building up inside small holes at the lower back panel (there are 2 small holes). Then within 2 weeks, the ice took up the whole back panel and the whole unit becomes warmer and warmer. When I called the Samsung, their answer was "out of warranty" since it was more than a year. I explained the problem started way before one year since I tried to correct the problem by lowering the temperature over time. Finally they allowed one time part coverage but not for the labor, which I paid $200 on my own. Samsung has known the problem with defrosting issue. There has been a class lawsuit in previous years with similar problem! I am not the only one having these issues. There were several models involved since this is the systemic issue rather than individual one. I would like to share this to everyone so that no one suffers from the same problem. By the way, I rarely post any review but this is so important for me to neglect. Please please do not buy Samsung refrigerator. You will regret it. What a disappointment from this product or Samsung! I am adding the picture how bad it was when the tech took out the back panel. It was fully covered with ICE! It took for almost one hour for the tech to dissolve it and replace the panel.

This Samsung fridge is a great upgrade! We went a little smaller than our old one but we are adapting! Not big enough for a family of5, but great for a couple as we are now! Love it

We are very happy with the size, cubit ft., counter depth. The bottom freezer is easy to access and see the items. Overall, a great refrigerator!

We renovated our vacation house. The old fridge was standard size and stuck out into the doorway. This one fits perfectly. The fact it's gorgeous and works great is an added bonus!

With a small space to work with, this fridge exceeded my expectations. It is nice and stylish, comes with a handy little detector that lets you know if you left the door open, and a lot of space in a small package. While it can't necessarily compare to some of the larger fridges on the market, if you're working with a smaller space, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a look.

The refrigerator meets all the requirements we needed and has a very nice look to it. It is very sleek and has the blue lights inside, which look very nice. It also beeps when the doors are left open which is very helpful considering we bought this for an office space where many people come and go. The size is decent and overall, we're happy with this product. The ice tray can be a little bit hard to remove, especially if there is ice in it, but this doesn't take away from all of the other great features it has and isn't a huge issue at all considering how many times we actually even need to remove that piece.

The fridge is the perfect size for my kitchen and I love the lights inside. I am very pleased with the product.

I was skeptical about samsung appliances but this fridge is awesome, my only complaint is the freezer door should come out further.

This model is used for a second refrig in the laundry room. It has plenty of storage space in the doors and in the body of the unit. Fits exactly into our space.

My wife and I don't believe that this product is well engineered. From the outside, it appears to be as spacious as our old unit. However, the freezer compartment is tiny, and difficult to access, and the refrigerator shelves are too close together for tall soda bottles or gallon milk containers. The cooling settings are very limited - too cold for ice cream, and the fridge ices up. We are really glad we kept our old unit in our basement.

Good freezer space with easy access-what I wanted most with this new item, I think the refer has good space spread out inside and in the doors. My wife thinks it is smaller, I think it is more than adequate as I do most of the cooking. Ice supply is fast and more than enough for family with a lot of daily use; doesn't hop too much of the freezer space but check it for yourself. Keep milk in door, not enough shelf height space for tall containers. Haven't tried gallon jugs in door yet, don't know it they'd fit.

This is a good-sized fridge for a small household. Good lighting on the inside. We bought it two months ago. I noticed it makes "clicking" sound from about two weeks ago. It is infrequent and not loud. I heard it about 2 to 3 times throughout the entire day, however it was definitely more quiet when it is brand new. We are light users and there are very few items inside the fridge so it has nothing to do with motor working too hard or anything like that. Just hoping the problem won't get worse. Otherwise so far so good.

great frig if you have a narrow space. Much bigger than other options. Water dispenser is not deep and is a bit odd, but does the job.

Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator fits in the smaller available kitchen space at the expense of more inside shelf and door space.

This was an easy choice based on wanting a counter depth French Door refrigerator to fit in a tight spot. Basically, it's the only refrigerator available out there. Samsung quality also made for an easy choice. Best Buy priced matched Home Depot's price too. The price was right, since most counter depth refrigerators are priced much higher. Some will say the 17.5 cubic foot size is too small, but for a single person or couple it works nicely. Also, the outside is very sleek without water and ice dispensers. Sorry, I am not looking for a home entertainment center refrigerator!

We were replacing an 18+ year old fridge in our small kitchen and this was the only modern style fridge (stainless, french doors) that would fit in the space with minimum adjustments to the cabinetry. There is plenty of room up top for our family of three, and it is so nice not to have to bend over to find and put away our refrigerated items. Items in the freezer are a little difficult to access and organize, but I don't mind that tradeoff for having what we use the most up top.

Had to buy this fridge because of space. First one defective and had to get a second one. Thanks to Geek Squad and Best Buy for their help. Samsung was no help. Will think twice before buying another Samsung product. The doors are not stainless only the sides.

Love the size. Didn't need a huge unit. Only 2 of us. Love the size of refrigerator section and the doors. Easy access and big enough for large trays. Not thrilled with fingerprint issue. Still haven't found the perfect cleaner yet. Wish the freezer section would pull out a little more but totally sufficient.
