Water accumulating in the veggie drawers

This is the 2nd refrigerator. The 1st had been replaced due to it stopped cooling with in 9 months of my initial purchase. When I received the replacement, Samsung had upgraded features that were wrong in the original one. This we thought was great. Once again, within 9 months of receiving the replacement, something has gone wrong. Water started accumulating in the vegetable drawers, then ice would form under it. A repairman came, installed a heater of some sort to keep it from freezing up and allowing water to accumulate. Within a week of that repair, it started again. Water in the drawer. This time, however, anything on the bottom shelf is freezing up. So I am waiting on ANOTHER repair. I recommend that anyone who buys this refrigerator make sure you purchase the extended warranty and continue to renew it BEFORE the end of the terms. Do not let it lapse. If you buy this refrigerator, you will have problems with it.

Bought this fridge about 2 months ago and it runs and works great. Just make sure you watch the ads after you buy. Bought it for $1169 as a competitors ad match and a few weeks later Best Buy had it on sale for $1049. Went back to Best Buy and they gave me the difference back.

Initially I gave this samsung a 5 star review. After 5 months though the trouble started with the water leaking into the vegetable drawers. I called Samsung and spoke with a technician who advised me to make sure I had the vents inside the refrigerator unblocked. So I moved stuff around and this seemed to work...everytime it would happen I would move stuff and empty the drawers of the water. Too late I realize it should have been repaired, however after reading other posts it would most likely happen again. It can be quite noisy at times too, I personally don't find the interior that hard to configure there are two large bins inside the doors that easily will hold gallon containers on each side. I still believe this is a nice looking refrigerator, that fits in places other french door reffrigerators will not.

I seriously hate this fridge. I've never hated a fridge before in my life. I don't expect much out of one- just that it keeps things the right temperature and that the door closes properly when I shut it. This thing doesn't do either! I've had a $400 fridge that was a thousand times better than this overpriced hunk of worthlessness. After owning it for a year and a half now, the freezer sensor has broken. Now the refrigerated section freezes at the bottom and the freezer is so cold that ice cream has to be thawed for 20 minutes just to get a spoon in it. Samsung told me it is out of warranty. They connected me with a service that came out and said it would be $500 to fix it. The service guy told me that they have tons of calls for Samsung fridges. He was far from impressed by the brand. He summed it up by stating that I'd be better off buying a whole new fridge rather than fix this one only to have more trouble with it sooner than later. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE!!!!! If you do, you will be sorry like me.

Plenty of room for even Thanksgiving dinner preparation! Wonderful to have the freezer on the bottom. No more bending over to find something in the fridge. Ice maker works great!

Design is Flawed

What a pity this refrigerator has design or manufacturing flaws. If you buy it and get one of the "lemons", within a year of purchase you will experience the same issues that others on this review site have had to contend with: the unit leaks water into both produce crispers, as well as underneath the crispers, and close proximity to the bottom freezer will cause the water to freeze into a sheet of ice. Your produce will spoil. In addition, the back evaporator panel will freeze solid and you will hear loud ice cracking noises. At times, sounds like a gunshot going off in the night, but it's just your refrigerator, waking you up! This model should be discontinued by Samsung.

Worse Fridge EVER!!!

I got this fridge for my parents as a gift for Christmas. The Best Buy delivered this fridge it was damaged already. The technician who came out to fixed this twice already asked if I had purchased it "out of box". I said I had bought it new. When it was delivered, it already had 3 dents on the sides. My parents didn't know better and acceptted as part of the design. Within the 1st week, it started making weird sounds. Now it's escalated to the point where the freezer would not freeze (all our frozen foods melted) and the fridge would freeze our produce. The store denies giving us an "Out of Box" fridge. How could a NEW fridge have this many problems already? Their tech support said there is nothing more they can do. The popping sound won't go away. And the store refuse to replace it. They sold us a defective product and wants us to go to the manufacture. And this is owning it for SIX MONTHS!!!

Do not buy - coils freeze and cause leaks

Crisper drawer kept collecting water. Called Samsung, because it is 35 days past the one year warranty, they will not honor the warranty. After referencing Amazon reviews, people are having similar issues with the design flaw. I will have to manually take apart the internal panel to defrost periodically.
I am a frequent Best Buy customer and they should no longer carry this model.

Do NOT buy! Coil freezes over

Brought it a little over 2 years ago. Worked well until the warranty ran out. Now, the refrigerator section does not cool. Ice builds up on the coils inside which causes the fan to not work. Paid for repair check--everything works, including the fan, the heater, and the coils. There is something seriously wrong in the manufacturing and/or design of this fridge. Samsung will not claim responsibility so it is time for a new fridge after only 2 years!
Final word of advice: do NOT buy!

The refrigerator keeps freezing up, water starts to buildup in the crisper drawers, Samsung is terrible to deal with and sends out some AE repair who is terrible, and then wants to charge you too much money to play some game of try this and should have bought the extended warranty. I hate the fridge, no help from Best Buy, going to have to throw away this unit, and buy anything but a Samsung, and from someplace else.

Do not buy Samsung ! Fridge stopped cooling, had to use a Samsung approved vendor from Kalamazoo, Michigan even though they didn't pay for the repair!!! After paying over a 1100 dollars on a fridge, already got 450 in for repairs!!!! Not impressed with Samsung customer service. Buyers beware

I purchased this Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago. Its vegetable room (bottom of main room) started to have a water after 1year and 3 months, which is right after warranty expired. Also it gets not cool enough (stays 58-60 deg even by setting 34 deg) just recently.
First of all, $1.5K+ refreg having issue in just 2 years is not acceptable, it should work for 10 years+ kind of time. Second, understood warranty is only 1 year, but at least support/help coordination should be arranged in timely manner, but it takes me forever to get it.

I had the same problem as others. The fan in the upper portion failed. Samsung customer service is HORRIBLE. They don't respond as they promise.. I don't know what is worse the poor performance of the Fridge Or samsung. But I guess Samsung .. They failed twice. Stop selling junk that you won't truly stand behind

I have had this fridge fro 2 years. After 2 month realized everything in back freezes.
The space between shelves will not raise to accommodate a gallon of milk.
The humidity coil freezes up and leaks water into crisper drawer everyday!!
Samsung knows this is a problem but will still take your money!

The freezer stopped working last week after 10 months of having the refrigerator . We called Best Buy who said they couldn't help even though we purchased the protection plan . Now the top part of the refrigerator has stopped working and we lost all of our food .

I bought this frig November 2013 and it has only worked for about 8 weeks. Samsung has been VERY DIFFICULT to deal with. 4 different companies out to fix it. A new compressor was put in and it quit again! It is now 8 months later and I still have had NO refund.
