I live in an apartment, and, when the AC comes on, I had to turn the TV volume WAY up. With this, that's no longer necessary! It was very easy to hook up and I definitely recommend it.

It definitely made a big difference in the ability to hear our TV, as we would turn it up a lot and barely notice a difference before the sound bar, but the remote is finicky and the quality is not the best. But, you get what you pay for. We got this as a cheaper version for kut bedroom,but i would not recommend this for entertaining guests in the living room or whatever.

To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: STANDARD, MUSIC, or SMART SOUND.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

Being able to connect 2 devices via bluetooth plus one via optical cable is convenient. However, there is no volume display on the front of the unit. Also, unit disconnects from Apple TV after every use. Turning it on again to sync causes the device to play the "Connecting to bluetooth" notification at max volume. Returning this product to find something that works more seamlessly.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-S40T Soundbar and for your review.
I am very sorry to see that the soundbar is not maintaining the desired source connection. Please know that the soundbar will remember the last setting before it was turned off.
A new firmware update has just been released which will allow you to disable the voice guide feature. You can update your firmware (ver. 1103) by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device.
After your firmware is updated: With the Soundbar turned off, press and hold the source key on the Soundbar remote control for 5 seconds. The Soundbar will then turn of automatically. To re-enable the voice guide, repeat the above process.

Great lows and mids but average on highs

This soundbar is lightweight and convenient to place anywhere around your tv. Easy to connect and not a lot of wiring involved. The bass is solid but the treble is not as high as i expected from a Samsung product. All of the different sound modes pretty much sound the same. The soundbar is loud and fills the room so it does what it is suppose to do.

Best speaker for samsung tv

It has the options for cable and Bluetooth connection. The sound is really good, i can tell the difference when using my regular tv speakers and this speakers.
