Good quality sound for a low price. We upgraded from visio to samsung and we love the addition of the subwoofer. Would recommend!

Love this sound bar. The only down side is that the volume can be a little low for a large room. Love the bass. Overall value for money.

When your place is too small for a full surround system, these sound bar systems fill the void. Good sound, easy set up and rock on.

Spent about 30 minutes at my local Best Buy flipping through all the sound bars displayed, and settled on this product. Felt it offered the best sound and was a reasonable price. Found an open-box of one, and was able to take it home that day. It was a quick and easy set-up, but the soundbar itself would turn off every 20 minutes. I had read issues of soundbars doing this while movies or shows were paused for extended periods of time, but this was happening while I was watching a movie. I had it plugged into the optical port, and even turned up my tv volume to see if it could force the bar to think it wasn't being stagnant. Ended up having to keep the remote handy and keep turning it back on after it auto-powered off every 20 minutes on me. I contacted Samsung support the next day, and they had me try a couple different settings, but nothing fixed the bar from turning off on me. They said it was an internal defect and would need to be resolved with their warranty department. So instead of fighting through that mess, I just returned it to Best Buy in my return window. I think what upset me the most was that upon returning the sound bar to Best Buy, the Customer Service rep had stated they have had multiple people return this same sound bar type for similar issues. So I felt a little betrayed by both Samsung and Best Buy for not being truthful or upfront about known issues. I'm giving this 2 out of 5, because it seems that many reviewers never faced this issue, and like I stated earlier it sounded great. I went ahead and tried the next Samsung version up, the r550, and I have not encountered the same issue. I'm ultimately writing this review because when this was happening, I tried to read reviews and do my research to see why, and nobody had written anything down. So hopefully this helps somebody someday.

I was a little bit skeptical on this item because of the price I wanted a decent sound for my bedroom very happy with it

This improved the sound quality of my 55" Samsung TV, but the sound level varies across different modes or devices. In TV mode using an antenna, it seems to be the loudest even at volume 15-17, channels may vary. Using a Firestick you have to raise the volume level to about 22-24. Using a Playstation you also have to raise the volume level to about 24. This is not the end of the world, but it would be better if it was even across everything. Not sure if an updated firmware would help. To update the firmware is a bit of a pain, seeing that they used a mini USB plug instead of a standard USB-A plug. How the heck do you plug in a flash drive to flash the firmware to that? Unless there is a mini USB to USB-A female adapter that I haven't seen on the market. Overall it is not bad if you are looking for an inexpensive way to upgrade the TV speaker sound.

I have two of these set up in two rooms. The sound quality is great for a soundbar and the subwoofer has a lot of bass that is very adjustable. Unfortunately, the one i recently purchased keeps shutting off on its own randomly. Its does not do it all the time, probabaly once every other day or so. Not enough to really be a bother but often enough that it does lower my rating a bit. The other one I have does not do this at all.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money and you have a small apartment, this is the right sound bar for you. Very easy to set up.

Easy to set up and sync the wireless sub woofer. Great sound enough power for a dorm room or small living room.

The hardest part was unpacking! We had the video/audio signals already active from the Dish Hopper3, and when I completed the optical cable connection between the soundbar and our LG TV - POOF! - there was sound! OK, the Dynamic Range Control isn't the greatest I've heard, and the sound bar isn't an Altec Lansing 'Voice of the Theater', but for the price it's very satisfactory. We're pleased with the sound, the quality, the convenience and the purchase!

Good quality for price paid. The sound is pretty good and clear. However, if you want higher volume invest in one with higher watts.
