I would give it a zero if I could
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am attached via optical cable. My DirectV remote controls the volume. The TV turns it on and off. It also turns on by itself when the TV is off. I've called Samsung a bunch of times and it's always the TV or optical cable, so I unplugged the optical cable and it still does it. Samsung is not listening to me and I am taking it back. It is in my bedroom, so when it turns on, the light wakes me and my wife up. I am sick of this.

For the price, it's hard to beat this...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think most of the reviewers received this sound bar around Black Friday and Cyber Monday (it's a new release), and it was on sale for $139.99, usual price of $230 or so. At that price point, it's hard to pass up. Watching standard TV, cable, Netflix, Hulu, etc. sound is decent, but the sound truly comes alive with 4K/DD enhanced blu-rays, Vudu, etc. When watching a movie, it blew me away, it performs differently than just watching cable, and I truly don't know why (maybe cable doesn't have Dolby Digital?) The Subwoofer wakes up in Dolby Digital as well. It has HDMI ARC, blutooth, optical, AUX, etc. It's set up for Dolby Digital as well.

Blew up after warranty ended
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would love to give this a five star rating, unfortunately I bought this in summer of 2018 and less than two years later the motherboard on the digital input blew up and nothing works HDMI nor laser nor auxiliary input it’s disappointing now I have to go spend more money to replace it.

No instructions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a soundbar system - open box but condition was rated excellent. Unfortunately, there are no instructions whatsoever. When I go onsite to download a manual, it isn't available. I will NEVER buy from Best Buy again. And it isn't returnable. Terrible!

Big Upgrade Over TV Speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a 65" Sony earlier this year. I traded in some air miles for some BB gift cards. My budget was pretty tight and Samsung had the best bang for the buck I could find. Connected to the HDMI/Arc connection and bang better sound. Synced right up to the TV and will also connect to my phones Bluetooth. Very good bar for TV and music if you have realistic expectations.

Good Soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have realistic expectations, this is a great sounding soundbar. I am a bit of a sound snob and have a much more expensive Klipsch Sound bar in my main living room. This bar doesn't sound as good as the Klipsch, but it is a good sounding item. It has many useful features that I really didn't expect at this price point. It has a digital readout, which is absent on most in the price range. It also has treble and bass level adjustments, so you can adjust the sound to suit your taste. Another feature that is not present in many bars that is included on this one is the ability to use your TV remote to control the volume when using an optical cable. Usually, this is available only through HDMI ARC connection, which my bedroom TV does not have. At this price point, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better sounding sound bar loaded with useful features. I will update if anything goes wrong, but so far, so good!

Use the HDMI pass-thru or optical input
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy with this product, the setup was easy and the sound quality is great for $139 (on sale when I purchased). Initially I was using the 3.5mm aux input and was not impressed, but once I switched to the HDMI pass-thru I got the room-filling sound I was expecting. Subwoofer adds a nice punch to the bass frequencies. I have not had a chance to try the optical input yet but I would expect similar results.
