I decided on a whim to grab this on Black Friday, as I had wanted to upgrade the sound in my living room for a while and the timing - and price - worked out. Now, obviously this isn't a soundbar to impress the audiophiles or mimic a $1000 system, but as an upgrade to just using the tv speakers it is FANTASTIC. I feel like I can finally enjoy my shows with a more cinematic quality. I was impressed both in-store and at home with the bass output. The soundbar was very easy to set up and detected the subwoofer immediately. As other users have said, if you are using the optical cable, don't forget to take the plastic caps off. I enjoy this soundbar enough that I might get a second for my PC gaming rig. In conclusion: Excellent value, great sound quality, easy to set up, and would buy again.

Purchased this soundbar to improve the sound of my new Samsung T.V. Great sounding presets and adjustable E.Q. plus a sub woofer which appears small but packs a booming smooth sound. Love the full metal black grill. The tone is amazing for such a reasonably priced unit. But don't expect earth moving sound out of it. When listening at normal to even loud volume it delivers in a med sized room . If you need a more powerful large room type unit you'll need to spend a few more dollars and add extra power and speakers etc. Perfect for my needs. Love it.

Love the sound bar/sub combo. Not quite a 5.1 surround system like I had before but I knew what I was getting. Easy to get setup and good sound with some decent volume. Much better then the speakers that are in my TV.

I picked up this soundbar to improve the sound for a 40" Samsung flat panel. Setup was straightforward. I particularly liked the way the wireless subwoofer could be located anywhere in the room. The options for voice, music, movies etc give control over the sound quality for different media sources and you can certainly hear the difference. The unit is excellent value for the price I paid and I am sure it performs as well or better than systems costing much more.

I have a Samsung 50" 6300 series that I absolutely love, however the way that the speakers are positioned I have to turn up the volume very high whenever I watch a movie or certain other programs. Wanted to get a Samsung product to match. Took less than two minutes from box to complete set-up. Great sound, and the subwoofer makes movies that much better. I am no tech guru but I feel like I got a quality product at a good price. Very satisfied.

Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this sound bar system. The sound is excellent and definitely reaches volumes that can be heard from the neighbor's house. The connection to the TV is perfect and the Bluetooth with my phone is solid. The various sound options are a nice addition and optimizes the way you experience different modes such as music, sports, movies, etc. If I had to choose something as a con to this product, it would be the size of the subwoofer. It is definitely large but easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this to ANYONE who would love to have a very good sound system for a very good price.

1. If you are using the supplied Digital Optical cord MAKE SURE TO take off the little tear drop looking protectors. I thoght they were part of the cable until I researched why it wouldn't fit firmly in the ports. 2. You have the sounbar placed correctly if the Samsung name is ON TOP not facing forward. 3. The sepeate bass unit is working properly but you will only notice it when progaming that takes advantage of it is being played. 4. The sound settings Music, Movies, Sports make a big difference. Make sure you have it set properly for the program you are watching. Overall this sound bar is worth the money and will teach you some things that you may need to know if you decide to buy an expensive one one day I would recommend it for a friend but not my friend's parents

Unboxed the unit and had it hooked up and working within about 15 minutes. Had a little trouble hooking up the optical cable (there are tiny plastic covers on the male part of the optical cable that need to be removed before plugging the cable into the hardware). Very easy to program the wireless bluetooth bass speaker. Unit has good sound quality and is an improvement over the rear facing speakers on my Samsung TV.

I needed a good, basic, inexpensive soundbar and got this unit on sale for $150. I have no complaints, and the volume and clarity turned our big-screen TV into a real home theater! The wireless subwoofer makes setup very clean. It also acts as a bluetooth speaker for streaming music, etc. It is also compatible with Samsung's wireless rear speaker set (which I also bought) to add a good surround-sound feel.

No need to buy one of the top of the line soundbars that are out there. This soundbar is affordable but yet still has great sound, even in a larger size room.

I have a Sony Bravia LCD television and needed some extra sound for it. Even though it's a Samsung, it was still an easy setup with a Sony tv. It was very seamless and didn't have any troubles installing it. Sounds great in the room and you wouldn't expect such great sound coming from a 2.1 channel system. Definitely a great buy and cheaper than most systems that have similar sounds.

This is a must have for a sound system, excellent sound for the price. In my opinion the only thing that sounds better is the Bose system for lots more money. I am very pleased with my Samsung system. Note: spend the extra money to get the rear speakers its worth it. The system took me about five minutes to connect to my TV and that includes removing it from the box it came in.

I have bought audio products for decades -- both for home theater/audio and auto sound. I have a huge home theater in our family room, but in our living room the sound was too low to hear, even with the volume on the TV turned way up. Hence the need for the sound bar. I was happy by the instructions and glad I bought the extra mounting kit. It fits nicely under my Samsung 55 inch TV. The subwoofer connected easily and may be placed anywhere as it's wireless. The sound was very impressive, exponentially better than the TV sound. The subwoofer contributes a lot to overall sound without being obnoxiously boomy. The sound bar has a nice display and can be set to increase bass treble and time shift (which we did not need). I highly advise this if you just want to hear the TV when onboard speakers are poor. ADDITIONALLY, I opted for the SWA 8000s wireless rear speakers. They too are easily connected and setup. These two wireless surround speakers pulled the sub/sound bar system into a great sound field. Overall, this is not a home theater system. It will never generate the sound of 7.1 or higher home theater receiver and amps. However, if you want fantastic sound with minimal cost and setup, this is the sound bar for you.

This unit was so easy to setup especially with a Samsung TV. Sound is very clear. You would think it was a more expensive system.

First off, this item is visually very sleek and elegant so it doesn't draw too much attention or look obnoxious if being placed in a highly visible spot in a nice room. If you have a good hiding spot for the subwoofer (being wireless totally helps) then this product surprises guests with terrific sound performance while keeping your room classy and clean. The product outputs terrific sound across many different genres of TV/movies and also bluetooth audio. I purchased a product in this price point because the total watts per sales price (roughly 300 watts for $200) was significantly better than the cheaper models (130W, $170) and more expensive models (340W, $330). It really is the better deal out there and has more than enough high-performance... I've still been too scared to crank it up near full volume (although I guess I don't even know what number that is). Oh and it's super simple and easy to setup and operate so anyone would be comfortable doing all this. I would definitely buy this product and have already recommended it to a couple friends who are interested in getting a sound bar and/or were just that impressed when experiencing mine for the first time.

The sound bar with wireless subwoofer was easy to set up. Love that the subwoofer is wireless. And the sound is phenomenal.

I got this from Best Buy because they had an open box special. I connected this to a 2014 Samsung 48" TV with an HDMI cable with ARC (audio return channel) into the HDMI/ARC connection from the sound bar to the same connector on the Samsung TV. It worked perfectly within seconds. I plugged in the subwoofer and it connected instantly, worked as advertised and is adjustable via the remote. One note - That HDMI/ARC cable is NOT included with this soundbar and I bought it from Amazon for $7 (for two of them). Make SURE you have the HDMI/ARC connection on your TV and make sure you buy an HDMI cable that is ARC enabled - regular HDMI cables do not have the ARC component built in. Many of the 1 star reviews concern the Bluetooth connections. I had a similar experience with a Sony soundbar and I ditched the Bluetooth and went with the HDMI/ARC cable set up. One other note - do NOT plug the sound bar or the TV into a surge suppressor, that caused endless connection problems with the Sony soundbar I bought for another TV. In a word, this sound bar is excellent. Simple to connect with the HDMI/ARC cable, solid, adjustable bass and I really like the "surround mode" - sounds awesome!

This unit was extremely simple to connect and gives incredible sound in all types of media formats. TV shows and movies sound deep and rich and the bluetooth connection is incredibly useful with streaming music or podcasts from a mobile device. The range of the bluetooth is not as great as some other units, but the quality of the sound more than makes up for this. Functionally, the unit is not encumbering and the aesthetics of the integrated digital display are perfect for what this unit needs. If you are planning to control this device with a universal remote, please note that some remotes may not properly control the input sourcing. Whereas power toggling doesn't seem to be an issue. Therefore, it's suggested to keep the unit's included remote handy in those instances.

Great audio, easy to setup with any TV, you'll have to be dumb to say it's hard to setup. The audio and bass sound higher than what I expected and it is a perfect fit into my custom made home theater center. Glad i didn't spend $100 extra on the Samsung 3.1 for 40 more watts. This is the way to go for your everyday/home theater.
