if using over a stove..light is poor to use for primary light source for cooking. I like the microwave other wise. I dont have any issues with the on glass controls..just need to get used to them.

Almost from installation, control panel intermittently responded. Tried every suggestion in manual to no avail. Samsung wanted to charge to fix it but relented and replaced for free. Not as bad, still somewhat intermittent, but now the light and fan go on by themselves, sometimes at night! We are giving up. Also noted that Consumer Reports doesn't even list Samsung, except at the very bottom of their reliability list.

Lasted 13 months and now no power

Item was great, lots of good features and seemed to be reliable. Then, exactly 13 months later the microwave stopped working. As soon as you put in time and power level you desire and hit start, it shuts off with nothing being displayed. Checked power to unit, OK; check circuit breaker, OK. Cannot get it to do anything. You would expect Samsung to make a great product that last longer than 13 months at the price paid.

Looked good while it lasted. Died young, 3.5 years. Acrid, plastic-smelling smoke poured out of the top after reheating a plate of Chinese leftovers. Thank god we were nearby. Were hesitant about buying one with electronics in the door since important parts would take more abuse. Won't do that again.

I bought this to match my other Samsung appliances. The first one I purchased was replaced by the repair company within the first year because the sensor went out. The second one- the replacement- went out a few months after receiving it (no power at all) and was 'repaired'. After a couple of weeks it went out again. Another repairman came out and 'repaired' it again. It went out again within 24 hours! Also, since this was a replacement because it was more cost effective to replace the entire microwave than to replace the door with all the electronics, my service plan I paid for with my original purchase was no longer valid. I did not know this until I called to get this one repaired and was informed that I would have to go through Samsung to get it 'fixed'. After it went it out this last time, Samsung is giving me refund for the unit. Now I have a dilemma, I want my appliances to match, but im afraid to get another Samsung microwave. I'm regretting that I bought Samsung products.

Im not sure if I just got a bad apple or this is a really bad product i bought all my appliances same day had them delivered and installed there all samsung and after about a week i finally used the microwave and it would not heat up my dinner i rarely use microwaves anyways but still this is unacceptable im hoping the new one thats being delivered actually works properly and if it does ill change my review. And please do yourself a favor buy the extra insurance unfortunately bestbuy only gives 15days and thats a big freaking joke ill never again buy heavy duty appliances from them ever again sad thing is im about to drop 10grand on my new entertainment system and they will most likely not see a dime of that ill shop hhgregg maybe they have better coverage on there products and I never received my rewards points im now going to have to probably fight them on that as well bad experiences all together and these is someone who used to love bestbuy :-(

We installed in 2016 and it's worked ok until about a year ago. If we microwave for over 5 minutes the power quits but the fan still runs. Wish there was a repair for it. Like the look of it.

Don't buy Samsung appliances

We bought a suite of Samsung appliances 3 years ago. Every one of them has issues or something broke! The microwave just broke and I would love to rip every one of these appliances out of my house and replace them if I could. The microwave lasted just under 3 years which compared to the stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator is good (they all started having issues in the first year). The microwave and other appliance look nice aesthetically but they are not built to last! They are very poor quality and Samsung does not stand by their products. They simply told us we should have bought the extended warranty.

Nice looks, but stopped working in less than 2 yrs

I bought an entire Samsung kitchen from Best Buy about 18 months ago. The microwave first started acted funny right after the 1Y warranty expired - random buttons stopped working. Then, in month 20 after purchase, the entire microwave stopped working. Very disappointed in this Samsung product (I own a bunch of Samsung products and bought the kitchen pretty much based on the brand goodwill). Also disappointed in Best Buy selling such crappy products. Can I at least get a partial refund for this junk?

Low quality microwave

The internal fan that cools the microwave broke in 1 year and the microwave shuts down if you use it for more than 3 mins.
This product is not made for quality, a simple part like a fan breaks in under a year. I don't recommend this microwave from Samsung
