    Faulty Ice maker fan noise? Design flaw

    PLEASE do not buy this refrigerator . I bought it 4 years ago and have had nothing but trouble out of it. Ice maker freezes with chunks of Ice. Fan makes terrible noise due to Ice build up( according to repairman). I have had the ice maker replaced twice( at my own expense) Sears has attempted to repair three times now. Repairman said its all due to poor design. Nothing can be done. I called Samsung they refuse to acknowledge its a problem on their end. If you dont believe me please go online and read the reviews and how a class action law suit has been filed against samsung. Please save your self the aggravation and buy another brand. I have spent $800 trying to have this refrigerator repaired and its still broke. I am actually on line looking to replace it. NO MORE SAMSUNG brands FOR ME!!

    Ice Maker Freezes Shut - CONSTANTLY

    I love the design and style of this fridge, but the ice maker issues really make it a pain to own. We've had this fridge for over a year now and the ice maker on this fridge constantly freezes shut on us. I cannot even remove the ice tray sometimes. Only remedy is to empty the contents of the entire fridge and unplug it for a day or two to defrost. It is such a pain! Have had to do this a couple times already and need to do it again. Do NOT BUY THIS fridge unless you want to deal with this hassle on a MONTHLY basis. I would not buy this fridge again unless Samsung can get this issue resolved.

    Broke after 3 months - horrible Customer Service!

    The ice maker broke after only 3 months...this was 5 months ago and Samsung has done nothing to fix it! Upon MY inspection, I found the flimsy metal piece that turns the cheap plastic auger to dispense the ice had sheared off. If this was a cheap refrigerator, I'd only have myself to blame, but it wasn't so Samsung is responsible for building and selling an inferior product. On top of their poor quality, Samsung has been jerking me around for 5 months leaving it still broken and sitting in my kitchen with the other Samsung appliances, that are nothing for Samsung to be proud of either. This is the 1st and last time I invest in anything Samsung (period).

    We purchased this refrigerator 2 years ago. We paid $3500 for this refrigerator and my husband ask me to either move it to the garage for a beverage fridge or donate it. I currently have a repairman coming to repair the ice-maker for the third time. Even when the ice-maker is working it dispenses ice about 1 cube per second and has a total capacity of filling three glasses. Also the design of the trays on one of the doors has a depth of only like 3 inches making it fairly useless unless you horde take out condiment packets. Save yourself from our mistake and pick any other refrigerator.

    ICE MAKER FAILA

    I like the concept of the multiple level door, but the ice maker freezes up and jams. Especially in the summer months. This is a major issue because it requires action every few weeks. It is clearly a design flaw. I don't know if the ice maker has a replacement, or the entire refrigerator needs to be replaced.

    DO NOT BUY - YOU'LL REGRET IT!

    Trust me, you'll end up hating this fridge like I do. Sure, its pretty in the store and the lights inside look cool too. And it seems like a good idea to have 4 doors but in reality, its super annoying and while the cubic feet is the same inside, it feels much smaller and awkward compared to my old side-by-side. And if you thought that having no door handles would be fine, you'd be wrong. Having to dig in to ope the fridge all the time is also annoying but the absolute worst part of this fridge is the fingerprints! I'm not talking 1 or 2 smudges, I'm talking you cant stand to look at it fingerprints by everyone who opens the fridge--everyone. We literally spray Windex on it 4-5 times a day and its suuuuper annoying!!! Others have commented about the slow ice but that's completely minor compared to the huge design flaw of having a french door refrigerator without handles and a surface that shows fingerprints. I am seriously considering selling this 3 month old refrigerator on Craigslist. Don't make my mistake and at least get fridge with handles.

    Ice maker needed service in a little over 2 years Best Buy came out and serviced it took 2 visits to make it work. 2 years later needed service again, this time it took 2 Visits afterwards was told that they will replace it

    We have had to replace the ice maker already and it requires on going maintenance as it clogs up constantly. At best, it produces unusually small small amounts of ice, so we have to keep a bad of ice on reserve for when we have a few people over. It is also very slow. I was not expecting such a hassle with an upper end refrigerator.

    absolute junk. ice maker has failed 4 times now. theres a class action suit against samsung for this exact reason. dont even bother.

    This would be an excellent refrigerator except for the very loud gurgling noise mine makes. Two different service centers could not repair it. 31 contacts later and Samsung finally offered me a refund. If it makes noise out of the box, put it back on the truck!
