We experienced cooling issues with the first Samsung fridge and had it replaced because Geek Squad was not in our area. (although we bought geek squad protection). Store provided new fridge and that fridge had a door issue - loud grinding noise on fridge door. Geek squad wouldn't help because it was within 30 days. Offered another new fridge and decided we did not want a Samsung for a third time and got a Whirlpool. No issues with the Whirlpool! Best Buy was great with replacing the fridge - I know it was not their fault - I would never buy another Samsung fridge - stick with what they know - electronics - not appliances!

2nd time freezer stopped working and water all over the floor… the first time when I called ( 3 months after purchase) Best Buy told me because I purchased the extended plan, I had to contact Samsung directly(!!??), as it would no longer be a bestbuy service… ( or something that did not make sense). Anyways, I was not able to get anyone come to check within the next MONTH and I couldn’t wait for that long. I was thinking of returning it but the next day, it started to work again so I let go ( which i should not have done) . Today the same thing happened again ( and again over night so by the time I saw it, it was already water over all the floor). I am not sure what the issue is but this the one I got definitely had some defect.

Delivery was great, fridge looked nice on the outside, plenty of space inside. But I wish someone had warned us about the back lighting, it was so bad that we had to return the fridge (and buy a more expensive one). We've never had this problem before, but it was so dark when full that we couldn't use it. If that doesn't bother you, it's a fine fridge, at a good price.

Read some reviews and was satisfied enough to make a purchase. 2 hours after delivery, this stupid thing started beeping and wouldn’t quit. Called Samsung. Apparently it is a safety feature that says the door is open and the insides are warming up. Checked the doors. Everything was shut. Placed a glass of water in the freezer and it was freezing. Everything seemed to be at temp but this machine didn’t quit beeping for 4 days until geek squad came back and picked it up. Also, ice and water did not work. We were told by Best Buy our outlets weren’t giving enough power. We had them checked. Outlets were reading 120. Genius at Best Buy tells us outlets are only supposed to read 110 and we probably fried the motherboard of the fridge from “too much power”. Our electrician had a huge eye roll at that. Maybe we got a lemon. But after further research, Samsung doesn’t make a good fridge. Phones are decent. But, buyer beware.

This is a very nice fridge, but there is one major flaw - it scratches easily.

I can't express enough how much we regret purchasing this refrigerator. One week after the warranty ended, the ice maker stopped working. Samsung did nothing to help. Since then the ice maker has clogged, because the ice constantly gets stuck, more times than I can count. Multiple times a week ice isn't available because of this design flaw. The fan has broken twice. The refrigerator stopped working at one point and took 3 weeks to be repaired because parts aren't easy to come by. The running theme with this refrigerator has been that EVERY repairman, and there have been MANY, has said "Never buy a Samsung appliance". Lesson learned. Save your money, your sanity and your groceries. Buy literally any other refrigerator. You will be better off.
