    Good Price

At first everyone in the family hated it because we had to relearn how to load the dishes a different way, "teenagers" . Ounce I realized the upper shelf was set too low and moved it up, it quit hitting the silverware in the lower tray and the sprayer was actually spinning all the way around now. Dishes are coming clean now! Very quiet running even though it takes hours to clean dishes but I'm finally happy now, so are the kids.

    Stick to electronics, Samsung

Dishwashers have one important function...wash dishes. Unfortunately, this one does not do that as well as I would like. It is unable to clean grill char that comes off of foods cooked on the grill at all. We have two plates that now permanently have greyish stains. Don't even get me started on egg. We have to completely pre-rinse the dishes which obviously defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher. We have tried more than one detergent AND a rinse aid, and it hasn't improved the performance. And when we clean something that has a strong odor (I cook with a lot of garlic) it takes more than one cycle to get the odor out (two or three more). The bottom rack can completely roll out onto the door which is handy, but then takes considerable effort to get it back in. It IS very quiet.

Not Happy with my Samsung Dishwasher

    Posted .

Just purchased the Samsung Dishwasher. It is QUIET, yes. But I now regret replacing my 20+ year old Maytag with this. There is about 30% less room. You can only put plates in the back of bottom rack and the silverware rack only goes on the right. The top rack was a joke and I lost a complete row and a half of functional space. I feel like an idiot for not bringing my dishes to Best Buy to see how they fit first! It also does NOT dry ANYTHING plastic so you will need to buy a LOT of Jet Dry. I'm looking for a replacement right now! The faster I can get this out, the happier I'll be!

    I'm really loving this dishwasher!

I've had my samsung dishwasher about 2 months now and I love it. It is so very quiet and does a great job cleaning my dishes. I usually rinse off excess food before loading so that I can use a shorter cycle. I'm using Cascade Complete All in One Powder so I haven't had to use any rinse agent. I generally let my dishes air dry after sponging off the water that puddles on the top of some glasses or cups. I wanted a washer that heated the water because my tap water does not come out hot or stay that way. First time I ran it, I used the Sani-cycle and it melted by plastic cups so I just run it on normal now. It is amazing how quiet it is. I'm still learning the best way to load it for my purposes but I love the deep upper rack. It holds all my tallest beverage containers. I use the top rack center row that steps down to put my serving utensils and a covered basket for lids and small items. I've come to love the silverware racks with the slotted covers. I separate the knives, forks & spoons each into their own section for ease of unloading and keep the cover up on one to use for smaller utensils and odd shaped items. Compared to my previous two older dishwashers, this one does a great job. I bought the extended service plan in case longevity becomes an issue. Bought this during one of the free installation deals, and was somewhat disappointed by the add on costs which pretty much cancelled out the "free" part. But I also got 18 months to pay it off without interest which was a blessing.

    Returned It.

Was talked into this one by the sales person. It was very quiet as advertised but only when it ran. Seems to have shut off in middle of cycle with soap all over. Dishes are always hazy. We tried the rinse aid and the detergent with additional rinse aid and still the haze.Ended up returning it and now will try the Bosch. After reading revues on it I am scared I will be doig this again. I think I should have stuck with my Maytag. It lasted over 12 years and was still running fine. problem was with the racks not lasting. replacement cost of racks was over 300. Figured a new dishwasher was not much more. Dont make them like they used to I guess.

    SAVE YOUR MONEY-HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

We bought this dishwasher when we replaced all of the appliances in our kitchen. We have had the Samsung refridgerator for almost 3 years and love it, no problems. We decided to buy the Samsung Microwave, which has been great, and the dishwasher, this is where my review begins. Please do not make the same mistake I did, save your money! I would rather have the 1970's dishwasher that was there over this one. It is a pain in the @#$. I will start the cycle and before I know it the whole thing has stopped why, good question. I have no idea! Sometimes we have to re-wash the dishes because it didn't finish the cycle and there is soap everywhere. The buttons are extremely sensitive and hard to keep from not being hit. We use the child protection because of our toddler but even still it is a big let down. I highly recommend other Samsung products but when it comes to the dishwasher save yourself the headache and go with Bosch or ANYTHING else. I think Samsung has a long way to come in the dishwasher department.

The buttons on the front are constantly being turned on by brushing up against them. The wheel on the bottom rack falls off. Soap dispenser doesn't always open. My silverware does not fit in the silverware container because it is too thick. Takes a lot longer than my old one to wash.

Very quite, do not know it is working unless you are very close. No heated drying, so dish is a little wet. But that is no problem for us. Why wasting electricity if it can dry naturally. Would be nicer if it is had digital display showing the progress. Cannot think anything else to complain.

I've had my dishwasher for a few weeks now, and I am very happy with it. It is the quietest dishwasher I have ever had. I usually pre-rinse my dishes, so they usually come out pretty clean. My big complaint would be the lower rack, when its full it has trouble going back in. I usually lift the back lightly and it will roll right in. My last dishwasher did not do this. If not for this minor inconvenience I would have given this machine all Excellent. Samsung seems to put out excellent appliances. But theirs still room for improvement with this one.

Have had no problems with it so far. It's very quiet. I like the quick wash feature. Has everything we need. Hoping to get rid of residue on plastic dishes once we install water softener. Glasses come out clear most of the time; just a few times they has soap leftovers.

    Great dishwasher for sound/price

We bought this dishwasher after researching and even after reading negative comments here. We are having no trouble with the dishes being clean---they are spotless. Best Buy installed......no problem Dishes aren't dry immediately after cycle finishes....but if you wait awhile they are----we just open the door and let them air dry for a few minutes....no problem. The low noise level is worth the price of the washer for us, as the great room is close to the kitchen. The only complaint I have is the length of the cycles. The Quick wash is over 80 minutes! I don't even use the other, longer cycles. I am disappointed because my GE(5 years old)that we replaced had a quick cycle only 35 minutes. But the pump went out, the soap dispenser quit.......not even 5 years old. All in all, this is a good dishwasher...dishes and glasses fit.....I did move the silverware baskets to the front of the washer...easier to put silverware in, I think. Also, removed the covers on the baskets---much better! Enjoy!

This dishwasher is very quiet and does a great job at getting everything clean. My only gripe is that it can be tough to get a lot of dishes loaded on the bottom rack.

    Maybe not so much

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Samsung is usually associated with some high quality products. This dishwasher maybe not so much. It had no more than been installed when we got an over lever water error. This would occur on most cycles. Samsung sent someone out who claimed the Finish Dishwashing packet was the issue. Of course he could not duplicate the error. He stated that one should stay away from packet detergents since the plastic in the packets gums up the nozzles. Also the packets contain too much soap. I took the Finish packet apart and they have less than the Samsung recommended level of detergent. So every now and then the machine will produce and over level error. The machine when it runs is quiet however it runs for a very long time and does not have quick rinse or rinse and hold function seen on other machines. The dishes clean up well and it is more energy efficient if you ignore the need to restart the machine when it errors out.

We've moved a fair amount, so I've used many different brand dishwashers. This is by fair the worst I've used in 35 years. It doesn't clean very well and we clean our dishes pretty well before loading. The buttons are very easy to turn on and off accidentally. Tonight it said the dishes were clean half way through the cycle. They all needed to be hand washed and we were not in the kitchen during the cycle to have caused this.

Not bad dishwasher if you get a good deal on it

I got the dishwasher for $371. That is not a bad deal for the quality of dishwasher. I only had it a week but it washes all the dishes and is quiet. I agree with the design not being the best but it forces you to be a bit organized and if you rearrange it you can fit everything. Can't have everything at that price point. It is nice it is all stainless steal as well. We have a family of 4 and I can't even tell when it is on. Sounds like you have a 50/50 shot if you get a good one or a bad... Hopefully I hit on the good side!

This dishwasher has been a huge disappointment. It does not load a lot, I am constantly doing a load of dishes. The tray on the bottom rack does NOT glide in smoothly and gets jammed. The cycle takes WAY too long to clean dishes. The only nice feature is that it is quiet. Then again, I am not sure if it is running or just going through some sort of motion. Buyer beware!!

I couldn't be happier with my new dishwasher. It looks great, it works great, and I can't get over how quiet is is while running. Everytime I use it, I just smile, because I can't believe it's actually running! I would definitely recommend this dishwasher to others. Dishes and glasses all come out very clean - spotless even!

Within the last 2 years, I've had a bosch and an upper end maytag. (Maytag came with the house we bought and couldn't have been more than 4 years old) Bosch didn't seem to clean effectively and Maytag simply broke down. We had a lot of trouble loading the Bosch (not much room, not a lot of flexilibity) and the Maytag's tub would not accomodate square dinner plates. Also the Maytag was LOUD!! This Samsung ;is WONDERFUL. Flexible shelving accomodates all kinds of dishes, etc. So quiet, don't know if it's on. Dishes look great! We have only had it a couple of months, but expect it to last many yrs.

In July of 2010 when looking for a new dishwasher I read all of the reviews. They all mentioned how quiet this machine is. Yes, it's very quiet. I hate everything else about it. It's very difficult to load, the tines are either too close or too far apart. Nothing wants to fit easily. The rack rolls all the way out on to the door and then is difficult to get back in. If it's not loaded evenly, it tips. I have to keep rearranging things until I'm ready to start the wash. I'm stuck with it now as long as it lasts. If you currently have Whirlpool, I reccomend sticking with that brand.

This is so quiet you have to get close to know it is running. We did have a leak, but it was an installation mistake. There is one position that seems like a natural place for glasses, but they will not stand up because the opening in the rack is too wide.
