Pleased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our's was installed 12/26 and I was instantly please after it's first use bcuz it is so quiet. Our 7 year old GE sounded like a freight train, so if we watched TV in the next room the volume on the TV had to be turned up. After reading some of the reviews at that time I was reluctant to write a review then. After running it 3 to 4 times per week for nearly 7 weeks now I am still pleased, although I have experienced an unexpected challenge. One evening a couple of weeks ago it would not power up at all. While on the phone with BB to set up service appointment I noticed the garbage disposal had some food in it. For grins I turned on the water to run the disposal to clear it. After doing so the dishwasher powered right up and ran properly. The same thing happened on Super Bowl Sunday and I resolved it the same way. So if your's won't power up, make sure the disposal has been run. I rated it excellent for the price bcuz I ended up paying about 25% off the msrp after Christmas. Good for quality only bcuz a wheel on the lower basket popped off. But it did pop right back into place. Excellent performance bcuz in addition to being very quiet, it does do a good job getting dishes clean. We no longer have to turn up the volume on the TV while it is running. Even standing next to it you can hold a conversation with someone, and no worries about the drain cycle waking someone up. While I haven't used all the different cycle features I rated it excellent only buz there are several different cycles based on length of the cycle and how dirty the dishes are, etc. The baskets are a little quirky, but not something I would complain about that would cause me to give a lower rating. Eventually you figure out what will fit where and you get used to it. I do like the upper basket for loading different size glasses. One side is deeper for loading taller glasses or wine glasses. Overall, we are pleased with this dishwasher.

Great so far
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very worried to purchase this dishwasher after reading the reviews, but wanted to keep all my appliances Samsung, so I took a chance. I have had it for about a month and it works great! My dishes come out clean and the dishwasher runs so quietly that I forget that it is running. It is very roomy and has many different ways to position dishes. Also has good size utensil holder. I have a few comments to hopefully help... it works best if it is run using the sanitize function, leave the door closed and the dishes will mostly dry on their own overnight. It also helps to not pull bottom rack completely out and to use a soft touch when pushing it back in because it does tend to come off track, but when you get the feel for it, it is really not that big of a deal.

One Year Old - Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The performance of the unit is quite phenomenal. Beats the KitchenAid that it replaced hands down. It's quiet, so quiet in fact that only the blue light on the front is a clue that it's working. The sanitize and scrub functions work extremely well, and by virtue of the bottom not having an exposed heating element, there's no fear of placing sensitive items in the top rack only, and if something drops you're certain they won't get melted. Only rarely did we have to re-run the unit (noted below). Would highly recommend! So why the 'Good' overall rating? Well, they don't have a 4 1/2 star rating. Second, at 1 year old, several times the soap door didn't open and we had to rewash the dishes. The reason most often was that the top rack adjustment handles (on either side of the basket) that allows you to raise or lower the basket to accommodate taller dishes below broke and the slightly-sagging basket would catch the door when opening. Small hooks that held onto the basket snapped off. Didn't catch it during warranty, but my extended Geek Squad paid off and replacement parts are being sent to me directly (saves scheduling a visit and easy to replace).

I like my Samsung Dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher holds many more dishes, etc., than my old one and does a very good job cleaning. It is very quiet. I hardly even know when it is running. I still, out of habit, rinse my dishes before I place them in the washer, but I'm the only one here so I don't run it everyday and do not want the food to generate a smell or get hard and dry on the dishes.

Poor Preformance All Around
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returning it after 3 uses. I have one good thing to say about it - it's really quiet. Otherwise, it doesn't clean as well as the 17 year old Whirlpool I replaced with it! Our old one was on its last leg & I was essentially washing dishes before I loaded them into the dishwasher. The Samsung is NO better at cleaning. I rinsed the dishes really well before loading, used the recommended cascade packs & Jet Dry liquid (1 sample came with). Each cycle lasted around 2 to 2.5 hours & though quiet as it gets, I ended up having to rewash (& really scrub) almost every dish & every single piece of silverware in it. I even loaded the first 2 loads EXACTLY as laid out in the manual's diagram (which is totally ridiculous & only for the extreme obsessive-compulsive who happens to have an extra hour to kill. Seriously, even the silverware has individual slots (that they had to number in their diagram because there is no rhyme nor reason for its layout). None of the silverware looked like it had been touched. If you want to get all 14 place settings in it, which I could not get close, you have to overlap dishes by about half each dish - which means part of each dish is covered by the next - a.k.a. - the water sprayers can't even touch it. All of that is extremely frustrating especially since this appliance has the illusion of meeting all my needs. Many folding rack sections but despite adjustments I can't get enough dishes to fit to warrant having a dishwasher (like this one, anyway). The last complaint is that despite forever long cycles (all are just too long, no "air dry" or "energy saver dry" exists) I always open it to find the inside of the dishwasher & dishes soaking wet. Once I left the "clean" dishes in for 4 days & upon opening the door I found everything inside still dripping. I had to pull the door down, the racks out & point a rotating fan on high for an hour & still had to towel dry many of them before I could put them away. I would rather have the old dishwasher back than this piece of junk!

Best all around dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have read the other reviews, my experience was much better. This item is so quiet you dont even know when it is on. The features are amazing and easy to use. I love the half load feature wich activates the bottom rack only which saves time and energy. Each dish comes out cleaner than I have ever experienced, its a must have!

AMAZING!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced 13 year old kitchenaid. Best appliance we have bought so far (also have samsung washer/dryer and refrigerator). ULTRA QUIET. Has tons of washing options such as storm wash (very useful) and half load and many others. Have had zero problems. Dishes always come out clean. Don't always come out as dry as we would like, but that is because of the half load option I think. Although if you pick sanitize option, they will always come out bone dry. My one complaint is the roller system. Not certain how long they are going to ultimately hold up. That is the only questionable part of the entire machine and why I gave quality a 4 star rating since I have a feeling it won't hold up for the long haull. Install is pretty easy and straight forward.

works well very customizable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I was contemplating the purchase of this dishwasher, i was hesitant for a couple of reasons; first the price, second the mixed reviews online, and third, the lack of product recognition, in that when i think of Samsung, I think TVs and other electronics, certainly not kitchen appliances. The salesperson seemed confident that it was the right machine, so i took the leap of faith, with his promise that he would replace it if i (or more importantly my wife) was not satisfied. This dishwasher works great, cleans everything, dries perfectly, no matter how we put the dishes in. The racks are great because they are moveable and maneuverable depending on the load. All in all, my wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the Samsung dishwasher, and we would not trade it for any other machine. We were more than satisfied that the relatively steep price was well worth this quality appliance and a great value.

Its so quiet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just received this dishwasher about 3 weeks ago. Installed it myself without hassle! It replaced a 10 year old dishwasher and let me tell you the difference is amazing. This is so quiet! The loudest part of the entire cycle is the gurgle sound when it drains. I could never run my old dishwasher and expect to watch tv in the other room or even have a conversation without having to raise my voice. I barely know this thing is on and running. This thing also cleans great! Previously I had to rinse my dishes till they were nearly clean before putting them in. Now I barely rinse at all. I also was concerned about how "wet" the dishes were the first few times I ran the dishwashwer. I did have to try a couple of different soaps and rinse aids until I found the right combo to get the dishes dry. However, now that I have it dries like a champ too! Great replacement and exactly what I had wanted.

Two months in - going great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading reviews on this page, I was hesitant to buy the model, but I did because I thought price to features it was a good deal and we also have had a Samsung refrigerator for two years and this would be a nice aesthetic match. I read the same kinds of reviews about the refrigerator when I bought in - primarily electrical problems. I have not had any trouble with either unit. The dishwasher cleans well and is very quiet. Just two nights ago I was standing right in front of it and had a dirty dish, so I opened to put it in and was shocked to see that it was running. It really is quiet. My wife is pleased with the cleaning quality. I asked if the buttons were hard to push and she simply said it's not hard, you just have to hit them just right. Only thing I have rouble adjusting to is the top shelf and how it loads, it is a little awkward compared to our old machine, but I honestly haven't spent that much time trying to adjust the racks, etc.

Will not last and not possible to repair.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dishwasher because it was one of the quietest models available. When it runs, it does get dishes clean, if it's loaded properly. First problem I had was that it would not turn on without having the circuit breaker turned off and back on again. The circuit board was replaced under warranty within the first 90 days of ownership. Lately it just runs for hours without completing its cycle and displays a 6E error code (This code is not in the Manual for troubleshooting.) The circuit board and control panel was replaced two more times. The seal around the door also leaks and this has been diagnosed as unrepairable. I do not know how a dishwasher is designed so that a rubber seal is not able to be replaced. I am still within my year manufacturer's warranty. Samsung refuses to repair or replace the dishwasher and will only refund a partial amount for an equal replacement. Do not buy Samsung appliances. Samsung does not build products that last longer than the warranty period. They refuse to replace or repair their failed products. They will only offer a partial refund for replacement of their product, leaving you to pay out of pocket to get a replacement.

Nice But Missing A Key Feature
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really nice dishwasher and SUPER quiet. Without the display panel you would not know it was on. this was the reason we bought it since the dishwasher is between the kitchen and the family room, so conversations would be tough with a loud dishwasher. Dishwasher is easy to load with the adjustable shelf and adjustable tines and silverware trays. One beef - we also selected this model over Bosch for the display to tell what part of the cycle the dishwasher was in and (most importantly) when the dishes are clean. This feature only stays on for 10min, but since it is so quiet, you can't tell when it is finished and less-observant family members end up putting dirty dishes in with clean ones...not ideal. Overall, we really like the styling and quietness.

Awesome Dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This samsung is awesome! Better than the Bosch, looks great, cleans great and super quiet. we upgraded from a whirlpool gold that we thought was fine. that thing is a piece of garbage compared to this new one. the ability to move the top rack and adjust the baskets are a huge plus. did i also mention that it is sooooo quiet and blasts through any mess we put in the washer. dont be scared by the other reviews that said it didnt do a good job. buy this dishwasher and you will NOT be disappointed!

So far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had about a month and a half. Works very good. Very quiet. Takes dried and baked on stuff off. Have not had to rewash one thing yet. Like the ability to take parts of dish holders to get over sized objects in for a wash.

Adequate operation, horribly engineered
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a whole the machine does what it's supposed to, clean your dishes etc. It is very quiet. The thing that I don't like is the engineering of the machine. My question to anybody who knows alot to those who know nothing about doing handyman work around the house is , "Where are all the utility connections located in your kitchen for a dishwasher"? Yes that,s right in the wall behind the dishwasher. Where do you think the connections are for this dishwasher? No your wrong, in the front of the machine. Enough said.

Very Disappointed after 6 months of trying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model simply does not clean dishes. Its not a specific unit. We have had this repaired several times, replaced and it simply does not clean well. Plus the cycle time is 2+ hours...The only time I can run it is in the night so that I can empty it next morning. Racks don't slide in smoothly and after six months, it still stinks. To be fair, it is quiet, has nice features and looks good. But if you are looking for a DW that cleans, THIS is not it.

Having issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will most certainly change this review if the dishwasher I purchased ends up being repaired, and if it turns out to be that rare 'lemon". However, as of now, I am extremely disappointed with this dishwasher. During every wash cycle, the dispenser opens too soon and the dishes never end up clean. So not only are my dishes dirty, they are soaking wet. It is as if I just dumped them into warm water and put them up on the counter. I'm fairly certain that i have a "dud". And I know that these things happen. Hopefully, this is a rare issue with this appliance, as it is quite a pricey dishwasher. All that aside, it was very easy to install (I did it myself). It is also as quiet as a dishwasher could possibly be (I have to put my ear to it to know that it is running). I really do hope that this is just a rare situation. If it is, and my dishwasher is up and running again, I shall come back and write a more positive review.

Love, love love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know this dishwasher has gotten a lot of bad reviews, but I have been nothing but happy with mine so far. I've only had it for 2 months....so hopefully I'll feel the same way in a year or so. I will say that it was a bit challenging to install due to the odd connection locations, but that is the only negative thing I've encountered. No matter how dirty my dishes are, they always come out spotless - even a baked lasagna pan. I haven't had any issues with my dishes not drying - as some of the other reviewers have mentioned. Mine always come out completely dry. And the BEST thing about this dishwasher is that it's so quiet! I can sit 10 feet away and not be able to tell if it's on or not!

This is an excellent dishwasher for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this dishwasher on sale and given the quality, design and the performance, I consider this an excellent dishwasher.. I like the fact that I can do a quick wash or a heavy duty wash and that it has a delay timer. I only wish that the time would count down the minutes until the entire cycle is finished (it does have LED indicators for when each cycle is active.) It's so quiet that I can watch tv while it's running (couldn't do that with my old dishwasher.) It has a sanitize option to heat the water. I do like the fact that the racks are adjustable, especially that the top rack can move up and down very easily (no more worrying about fitting the cookie sheets or putting the tall utensils in the flatware holder.) Given that the unit is stainless steel inside and out, the unit looks sharp (My old unit was plastic inside...YUCK!)

No issues (so far)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this model during the President's sale last week for a low price of $674 and did our first wash last night that went as well as can be expected. We did purchase the 5 year warranty with the money saved. It did take my wife a little time to figure out how best to load the dishwasher. It certainly cleans more dishes and is so much quieter than our 14 year old GE dishwasher. It goes nicely with the Samsung fridge that was purchased last year. Did anyone else notice that the Samsung lettering on the front panel isn't raised with the black background like the one displayed on the showroom floor or on the Samsung website. It's (now) engraved, which we prefer.
