I like Samsung electronic products but this dishwasher has been a bust. I purchased this product because I thought it was the best looking dishwasher on the market and because of Samsungs reputation for quality. Too many error codes. The latest is error code SE which means it is not draining properly. Additionally, the washer does not fill completly before the first wash cycle making it very loud. After the first wash cycle it is very quiet. The detergent door is easily blocked by tall items. The rack tines are too short making loading an everyday awkward frustrating event. Best cleaning results are on the heavy duty cyle and that guarantees a 300 min wash cycle. Overall, cleaning results are disappointing. Yes I use a cleaning agent and the unit is level and fills with hotwater. This purchase has been money down the drain and I am currently in the market for a new (er) dishwasher.

We have problems loading the washer with full size dinner plates. Large pots/pans do not come clean. It is very quiet ...

We bought a Samsung stainless kitchen. This was the best dishwasher they had to offer, and we hated our old one. The reviews were great, and it had everything we were looking for. We are still getting adjusted to it, but its a huge step up from our old Amana one. This is almost not noticeable when its running, and works great. We did find that there seems to be a slight odor on interior at times, even after the cycle is complete. Not sure if this is due to the moisture within not being able to dry, or the food residual. Overall, we are more than pleased with this appliance.

I received this dishwasher as a gift for my new house. I read reviews on items before I buy them so I have less problems when I take them home. I definitely would NOT have purchased this particular dishwasher seeing all the bad reviews and lo-and-behold It's been a nuisance in my home as well. The same thing happened to me that happened to another fella who wrote a review, I thought this dishwasher was broken because it stopped turning on. Well in order for it to work I have to flip the breaker. Whats up with that? I've only had it a month. I do hate the buttons and how hard you have to press down for it to turn on. Also the added expense of HAVING to now buy rinse aid in order for it to properly dry the dishes is not making me happy. I like the old school dishwashers. I'm taking this one back.

Where do I begin? At first I really liked this dishwasher since it was so quiet and did a pretty good job. It does not have a drying element so my dishes ends up with a puddle of water on top. Also, kept finding food residue inside my glasses after cleaning cycle complete, so not great cleaning overall. After 6 months of use, the machine was filling with water and nothing else happened, no matter which wash cycle was selected. Repair guy from Geeksquad ordered a new motor for it, but when it was going to be installed the second repair tech found other issues... It had a really bad leak in the seal in the door which caused a leak sensor to tell the motor to stop (hence nothing happening in the washing cycles), however the control panel did not provide an error for this. Back to ordering parts (seal, sensor, control panel). Turns out, a month after not having a dishwasher one of the parts that was needed to complete the repair was either on backorder or discontinued all together. Best Buy ended up taking this dishwasher back and I am selecting another brand. Repair guy did not even recommend this dishwashers due to poor design of steam release causing the control panels to eventually warp and go out. My neighbor has the exact same model and his control panel also broke.

MY HUSBAND LOVES IT. HE NEVER SAYS ANYTHING POSITIVE WITH ANYTHING I BUY. HE SAYS IT DOES A GREAT JOB AND IS SOOO QUIET. I LOVE IT TOO.

1. At 8 months, I had to have the water level indicator replaced. The serviceman blamed it on my "dirty city water." (I have well water & a whole-house water filtration system). They informed me if it happened again, they would not replace. 2. Stainless is already rusting. 3. There is always a film on the interior, even if I use rinse aid. 4. There is a rubber gasket that goes around the inside where the door closes. At the bottom, there's about 2" of the rubber on either side that just lay on the bottom. All kinds of stuff sits there and along the bottom inside in front of the door. I'm constantly cleaning my d/w because it's disgusting and I know it's getting on my dishes. 5. The top shelf adjusts height which is nice, but the clips are made of garbage plastic and both of them are already broken. I complained to the "top level" customer service people and they ignored me. This d/w is made like garbage with a bad design. I wish I had my 20 year old Insinkerator back!

I have had 5 service calls in 8 months. The top tray clips break off and clog the drain. I have had to replace the top rack clips 2 times on each side. Six days until the next service - Dishwasher will not drain. The value for the money is not there. I own 6 other Samsung products and they are all wonderful - no service calls on them.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Before this purchase I had a Maytag for 17 years and it never failed on me. I bought this in Oct. 2012 and we had to put it on Heavy setting to clean dishes well, and I rinse my dishes of food before I put them in so they are really almost clean when they go in. This dishwasher stopped cleaning dishes in April 2013. It still turns on but nothing happens. When the cycle finishes the soap is still there and stuck to the door and the dishes are still dirty. I called Samsung and the repair place they game in Md never called me, I called them and the line was disconnected. I called Best Buy and they sent me to Geek Squad and set me up with a company out of Texas for my "local" service center. I called a small company in Va and he got it working for $120 and 2 weeks later its not working. He said it was installed at an angle and cleaned a filter of piece of glass the size about a half an inch. The same problem has started but we haven't broken any glass. Who knows what it will be this time. My Maytag handles broken glass with no problems. This thing is junk, I wish I had never bought it. I will probably go buy a Maytag and never buy another appliance from Best Buy again.

We bought this dishwasher after having researched for the top quaility of dishwashers online, and this Samsung rated #1 or tops in many survey's. We've used it maybe 3 times and the control panel has COMPLETELY short-circuited making the dishwasher utterly useless. I got the joy of taking out all the old dishes and washing them by hand, and also get the headache of returning this thing, buying ANOTHER dishwasher and going through the hassle of scheduling the delievery and installation yet all over again. Save yourself the time and frustration and don't buy this brand nor this model!!

Looks great. Much cleaner look than the next model down. Matches my Samsung fridge amazingly (same soft blue lights). Much quieter than I anticipated. Similar model scored quite well in consumer reports as well.

This dishwasher is so quiet I barely hear it when I am in the same room! The performance is fabulous. I cook a lot and have a ton of pans and plates to wash on a regular basis. The storm wash feature does a great job at even getting stuck on lasagna off. The removable tines in the back give plenty of room to put even my largest pots. Overall a great product!!!

I was waiting to write a review because I wanted to see how much I liked a Samsung product & I wanted to compare my 1995 Kitchen Aid dishwasher to the Samsung. ( purchase 10/12) So far so good! I really like it! It took some time to get use to because the dishwasher racks are lighter than my old racks were so you have to use more care in loading it. As far as the cleaning of the dishes go I feel the dishwasher does a great job! The dishwasher holds more dishes than my old one so clean-up time is quicker. I've read some complaints about the odor from the dishwasher when not in use, I simply add about quarter cup of vinegar into the dishwasher & close the door. Also, some people are complaining about the washer not cleaning well, they need to use a GOOD detergent, I prefer the tablets. My husband said that the instructions are terrible for installation.

Average number of calls to get warranty assistance 5! This was because they are so vague about who, when, how the issue will be handled. The first problem developed 2 months after installation. It took them 4 weeks to fix the machine. During that 4 weeks I had to call 7 times to get a repair date and establish that the machine was in fact under warranty. One month after it was "fixed" (however it ran much louder this time, the dishes weren't getting clean, and a piece of it was still damaged) it stopped running again and kept giving us an error code. This time I called in requested a repair, received no follow up calls after 2 weeks, called in again to find they had scheduled me an appt, with out telling me, and it would be another 2 weeks before they could get there. Once again 4 weeks till repair. This time I told them I was running louder and it was not getting the dishes clean and they said they would fix that. However, it's still loud and not cleaning dishes. One month after that, which is today, I had to call in again to have them fix what they were suppose to have fixed last time. They are telling me it will be another 3 weeks before they can get here to repair the machine. I'm really beginning to believe they are delaying me so the warranty will run out. Never again will I buy another samsung. A neighbor who bought the same dishwasher also said hers is getting noisier and not cleaning as well either. She bought hers in March.

Purchased the Samsung stainless steel appliance bundle. We are so happy with all of the items. Updated our kitchen and looks so good. Very energy efficient, beautiful appearance, entire kitchen has been transformed.

I bought this because all of our other appliances were Samsung. The metal matches and that was very important, but it does work well and is very quiet.

After owning it for two months, it wouldn't drain. Had to call Samsung to come and repair it..The repairman didn't know how to pull it out to take it apart, so I had to take a 2nd day off work for his supervisor to come and give a lesson on how to lift and pull it out of the cabinet- then checked the drain motor because the code indicated the problem was in the drain motor..(neat feature)... Apparently, the top rack has little rubber stoppers afixed on a few of the rungs and one had dislodged and rinsed almost out..I looked at the supervisor and told him it was a manufacturers nightmare to have removable stoppers on rungs that can come off..it actually lodged itself in the drain fan and stopped the whole drain process, which when it was removed, worked fine...The supervisor changed out the motor anyway - thinking it might burn out from being frozen in place. One yr later, the rinse process just isn't working up to par. Particles of stuff is left on the glasses - very irritating - some are so bad, you have to let it soak to soften and rewash..I use a rinse agent, I have used liquid detergent as well as the new action pacs. It doesn't make any difference. Although I am happy with my Samsung Refrigerator and front loading washing machine, I cannot recommend the dishwasher. Very disappointed.

We returned this machine after less than 30 days. The soap dispenser only opened on occasion, therefore forcing us to rewash loads multiple times. When the soap dispenser did indeed open, the dishes were not always clean. The only way they consistently became clean was if I used the sanitize option EVERY time I ran the dishwasher. I would NOT get this machine. It does have some features I will miss, like the stemware cradles. But the "perks" in no way outweigh the annoyances. The lower rack does not go in and out with ease. And finally, the dishes do NOT ever get dry unless you air dry them... by leaving the door open and pulling both racks out for circulation.

I really like my new sleek dishwasher by Samsung and it goes nicely in my remodeled kitchen.

Love the stainless still.. got this open box, for 50% less that msrp... No complaints here!
