    Refigerator leaked after warranty expired

    Don't buy this refrigerator or any of the Samsung French Door Models. We had the refrigerator for two years and lots of water started pooling under the Crisper drawer. It turned out that it's a very common problem with many Samsung refrigerator models--just do an internet search and there are tons on videos with other people with this problem and how to fix it. We are supposed to undo the front and clean up the drainage hole, pull out the refrigerator and clean up the drainage hole in the back on a semi-regular basis and change the sensor. This is ridiculous. Also, the installation guy didn't install it properly. It has to be installed at an angle. (If you decide to buy this, make sure they elevate the front, which the installation guy didn't do). Now, we're stuck paying all this money getting this fixed and we're told it can't really be fixed because it's a design issue.

    Auto defrost sensor broke after 3 1/2 yrs; $380

    The auto defrost sensor broke after 3 years, 5 months. The repair cost is $380. Warranty on this part is a lame 1 year. Repair guy said it’s a common known problem and when I said it on,y lasted 3 years he said: “Its a Samsung.” Meaning, it sucks. I asked what else goes bad on this model and he said “ sometimes the compressor just goes out.” We lost hundreds of dollars in food having to do a manual 24-hour defrost after it stop getting warm due to frost blocking air circulation holes. That said, it is very pretty and I would buy again if they fixed defrost part under warranty; but they won’t so buy and bad review you get.

    Was not frost free - returned before 14 day period

    This fridge is so pretty. We were so excited - not too fancy, not too simple. Looked gorgeous. Kids ooh-ed and ah-ed. BUT the bottom drawer was not frost free. We leveled it multiple times, checked the seal, had the Geek Squad come out. They told us nothing was wrong and that we had to be better about closing it in the middle. When the ice maker was off, the frost abated, but they still said nothing was wrong. Decided to return it. The delivery guy said he picked this particular model up very often. Said the Whirlpool we decided on instead was likely a more reliable fridge.

    Many Problems

    Although it makes a lot of annoying noises, it worked well for a couple years, then things started going wrong. The door mullion needed replacement. The cheesy plastic bits developed cracks. Ice began forming on the floor of the fridge. These things have apparently been known problems for years which Smasung chooses to ignore. Coustomer 'service' is a joke. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product.

    Terrible fridge

    Black stainless scratches terrible after 1mth. Don't purchase any fridge from Samsung in this finish. Not covered, claim it's cosmetic. Don't even try and wipe it down or put a magnet on it, it will scratch terribly.

    DO NOT BUY

    This refrigerator was great for the first 15 months. Then ice maker went as well as the freezer temp sensor. My freezer was running at -12. The inexperienced authorized Samsung repair man advised us that he could try replacing one of the external temp sensors, and it might or might not work. There was another internal one that he said could not be replaced. All in with ice maker, we were looking at almost $500. And there were no guarantees. He said he does not recommend doing repairs to this product over $300! If that does not indicate a lack of faith in the product, I don’t know what does! So now we are trashing a refrigerator only 5 mos out of warranty. DO NOT BUY!

    Impossible to clean well

    While there are cleaning videos (done privately) for other Samsung Refrigerator models...there are none for the RF260BEAESR/AA. Taking this refrigerator interior apart after a spill is pure frustration and requires two people. There are way too many crevices for bacteria to collect and the unit is not consumer friendly. I am sorry I bought it and it is a year old.

    Ice maker stopped working

    DOES NOT LAST...WASTE OF MONEY

    Refrigerator had multiple malfunctions in the first 2 1/2 years. Now, it is not cooling properly in the refrigerator. Two (2) service technicians advised it can be repaired but will fail again within one year. The repairs would be $400 +/- and both said "DO NOT FIX; THROW IT AWAY". Obviously, these are technicians I trust and individuals who would rather tell me the truth rather than make a quick buck. Samsung customer service was useless.

    No Service or Geek Squad

    Fridge is only 3 months old. The freezer temp was all over the place, 3 to -16 deg. Called Geek and they said to call Samsung. After 4 calls they finally authorized a service call. They were overbooked and wouldn't give me a date. Replacing it and it won't be a Samsung. Too bad because it's a nice fridge but not without someone to service it.

    Things started off well. Then, like so many other Samsung fridge owners, the ice maker failed. I mean, all it does now is frost over. There's a whole Facebook page dedicated to this problem. You have to fight with Samsung to fix it. It's a design flaw! Some people are getting entire refunds on their fridges. And, there is a class action against Samsung for this.

    Samsung refrigerator/icemaker is junk

    Samsung is defending a class action suit for a different ice maker, but this one sucks as well. It has failed multiple times, the first and second under warranty, the third and fourth at our own (substantial) expense. Neither Samsung, nor to my surprise, Best Buy, appear to care that they are jeopardizing their brand with this product. My calls to Best Buy have been an exercise in frustration.

    Turn Off Water to Change Filter

    To Change the Filter you must turn off water, which means moving unit away from wall. POOR DESIGN! You will find this instruction in the manual. I've just installed this Samsung and I am NOT HAPPY!!!!. What a CHEAP INCONVENIENT FEATURE!

    Bad product, bad customer service

    The refrigerator is only a couple of years old and there have been multiple issues already. Samsung customer service is terrible and does not stand by their products. Do not purchase.
