Customers are saying

Customers admire the ample space and appealing design of the 25.5 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, frequently praising its size and bright interior lighting. However, some customers note that the ice maker and overall refrigerator can be noisy, and the stainless steel finish is prone to showing fingerprints. The refrigerator's capacity and temperature control also receive positive feedback. Concerns regarding long-term reliability were also raised by some users.

    Sounds like a mortar attack

Love the look of the fridge, the price was right and the extra space is exactly what I needed. The only, and some would say major, downfall is the random explosive popping sounds it makes. I had read about the sounds in the reviews but being a Samsung lover I went ahead with the purchase anyways. It has now been over 4 months and the sounds are still there. At times it can be consfused for small arms fire and others a full on mortar attack. Veterans may believe they are partaking in the initial invasion of Fallujah based on the sound of the explosions the refrigerator sets off. All in all I love the fridge but could do without claymore sounds coming from downstairs while I sleep.

The fridge was a good price when I purchased it, however i will never buy another one. after only 3 years of use the refrigeration unit stopped working. 3 YEARS! Still waiting for someone to service it from Samsung, we will see how long it takes. I don't have high hopes on the longevity of this fridge.

We had problems right from the start. Had to have 3 service calls under warranty/extended warranty, so no problem then. But continued to have same problem beyond warranty time and time again. Found out Samsung is known for leaking water under crisper drawers, which in turn leaks onto floor.

Worst refrigerator on the planet. Buy the extended warranty, you will need it, but it only covers years 1-5. Works great until the fan motor freezes up and all your foods are ruined. Do your research and see that Samsung Refrigerators have serious problems.

    Best Fridge Review Ever!

I made the decision for my Black Friday order between a Whirlpool - 24.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Stainless Steel Model: WRF535SMBM SKU: 1609849 or this refrigerator. They were both on sale at the same price of $999, but the Samsung - 25.5 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Stainless Steel Model: RF26HFENDSR SKU: 8815004 was a better value at a greater discount with greater reviews, and more importantly it was not backordered like the Whirlpool. Plus all my other electronics are Samsung so it helps my OCD. What doesn't help my OCD is everyone here with reviews where they've misspelled fridge as frig. That's ridiculous and immediately takes away from the value of your review. I actually skipped over every review that misspelled fridge. Okay, I needed to get that off my chest. I hope this fridge is as great as everyone says, it gets delivered next week!

I have had this fridge for 4 weeks and it is already having issues. Stopped cooling for no apparent reason. Everything is spoiling in the fridge and best buy is "trying to get someone out in your area in the next 48 hours."

    Quiet and Cold

I am impressed by this Samsung Ref so far. It runs very quiet and the cooling temperature is very good in the freezer and in the ref. The design and finish is excellent for the price. The shelves are not the plastic cheap ones and the crispers are on rollers. This ref does not retain hand marks easily like the other refs I have checked out at the store. I love the french door, it closes firmly and gives you a beep when left open for 3 mins. The ice maker is working as it should. I have tried 3 other refs before this one, and so far, this is the best one. It looks beautiful in my kitchen. I will write another review if anything negative comes up with this ref.

Excellent fridge but get the Geek Squad warranty

We experienced the loud popping noises other reviewers reported. There is a fix for that which was covered by Geek Squad warranty. It requires installation of a pad which deadens the sound. Once resolved this product is exceptional for the money. It is super quiet, has superb storage capability and the bottom freezer is spacious thanks to two sliding drawers. The fridge is now extremely quiet. Would buy it again.

    Great fridge

Last summer our fridge went out at the beginning of July. We weren't ready for a big purchase however knew we needed to replace out old fridge ASAP. Went to the nearest Best Buy and realized they were having their 4th of July sale. Picked out this fridge and purchased on the spot. We knew Samsung is a great name and wanted to upgrade our kitchen in the future to stainless steel. The only thing about this fridge that I might consider a con would be that sometimes our fruits and vegetables seems to be frozen in the drawers. Other than that great purchase and looking forward to updating the rest of the kitchen with the rest of the Samsung line. We don't use the ice maker seeing as we don't have a waterline on that side of our kitchen however in the future it might be something we hook up if we move the fridge to another home.

    Great Value & Service

I received the product 2 days ago and I'm very pleased with the appearance and features for the price, including the in freezer ice maker (sale price $999); however, it falls short of 5 stars because the ice maker is a bit loud, no deli bin and the door closes about 1/2 way without putting in extra oomph. My last refrigerator was 10 years old and the door closed with ease. I will say the alarm will sound if you leave the door open but does not continue to sound if the door is left upon for an extended period of time.

We purchased the unit on sale almost 2 years ago and are very pleased. The only complaints we have is that like all non-smudge stainless the doors need wiped down frequently. The unit also makes some strange noises at times but overall we are very pleased.

    Buy It!!!

I was a little reluctant to buy this fridge because of a few of the negative reviews but I found them groundless or insignificant to the quality of the product. Built in filters are five times more expensive to replace then external filters needed for this fridge. This fridge is quiet and produces plenty of ice. The outside beauty of this product speaks for its self and the inside has totally unobstructed space which is almost unheard of. The 6 door shelfs are all large and make great jar and bottle organizers.

Well worth the money/great delivery and install

Very impressed both by the craftsmanship and the usability/layout of the fridge. Had 30.5" width to work with and with this fridge don't feel like I'm compromising due to the limited space. Very quiet and easy to set up. Really no set up at all since the fridge sets the temperature, automatically, no dials or settings to puts around with. And the delivery/installation was phenomenal. Live in a high rise and it took less then 30min for them to hall away the old one and install this one. 2h window for delivery, but they still called to give me a 25min heads up, that they were on the way. If only everything else in life were this easy and hassle free:)

    Great entry-level french door fridge

Still happy after a month of use. Experienced some of the complaints, but they're not objectionable. Ice falls behind the tub, but it's not a big deal to fetch it or prevent it, even though it's hard to reach back there. Ice maker produces some crushed ice, but not that much, the cubes are fine. The ice making mechanism pops, but it's not very loud or frequent. The top freezer drawer and main door flap feel a little chincy, but they work fine. Square deal for $1,000. Nice not to have ice and water dispenser as another point of failure and drain on efficiency.
