Great Value, Great Price, Great Fridge!

We have had this fridge for about 2 weeks now and I am extremely happy with it so far. It has all of the features we wanted and the look and class that we like. There was a little issue with not being enough pressure for the water with a tap valve, but we hooked it up with a ball valve connection and it is great! Makes ice perfectly. Water is great. Took around 24 hours from the time we first had it hooked up until it started making ice, but we haven't even come close to running out and that is with 5 people using it. The extra room in the freezer from the ice maker being on the door is the reason we went with this model. The ONLY complaint I have is the way the shelves attach to the fridge door. My wife opened the fridge the other day and the shelf came crashing down leaving a long crack in it. But the operation is great. It runs quietly and efficiently. A little note. If someone accidently holds 2 of the buttons at the same time it could put the fridge into store mode. The lights and everything will work like it is operational, but the cooling gets turned off. It shows on the panel, but is not clear in the manual. (Took some searching to find what had happened and how to fix it). I would definitely refer this to anyone looking for a new fridge.

In looking at refrigerators I was surprised at the lack of quality and basic options, but this Samsung filled our wishlist almost perfectly. Having the ice maker in the door gave us a bit more freezer space which we always need. Would prefer more baskets in the freezer then shelves, but that is more personal preference and hard to find in general. We plugged in the fridge and started putting on the doors, in the short time it took to reattach the doors the freezer and fridge side were both almost cooled down completely, call us impressed. I cook a lot of large batches of soup and stock that take forever to cool so this will help out greatly. The seal on the freezer door seems very heavy duty, the doors are balanced very well even fully loaded. Some folks complain about the noise of the ice in the door, yes, you can hear the 2 second sound of ice dropping, but I would take the extra freezer space over that sound any day. The water/ice flap is a bit odd and takes some getting used to. My one major complaint, the fridge shelves do not offer a ton of adjustment. We have a water pitcher and it is too wide for the doors, and too tall to go in between the shelves unless we remove a shelf all together, bummer. Apparently they assumed all tall items like milk and juice would go in the doors. The LED lighting is different, maybe not as bright as we are used to, but not a problem as I see it.

I love the new fridge. It's spacious, bright lighting and just awesome. However, the water dispenser is at an angle, so I usually spill water all over the place when filling my plastic bottles. The child-lock feature is pretty good too. Altough changing the temperature can be a bit tricky.

    Great Refridgerator!

We bought this fridge in November since our compressor in our previous fridge died. We did a lot of research before purchasing. Some of our concerns with this one was the lighting seemed really dim, shelving spacing, the spill tray for the water. After owning it for the last six weeks we have found that these are no issues at all. The lighting is different than our old fridge but we have gotten used to it and it is fine. There is plenty of space in both the fridge and freezer and the water tray is easy to clean out. A new concern came about with trying to keep the stainless steel clean. Weiman's wipes makes it look shiny and new! I can honestly say I love this fridge! It looks great, keeps things icey cold (I love the screen on the outside to control the temp) and the deep pockets in the door keeps lots of condiments. The alarm when the door has been open too long is great especially if you have teenage boys!

This fridge has the ice and water maker on the door and it works great but sometimes you have to clean out the ice tray cause sometimes the ice chute get frost and it can't shut so it will crush the ice instead. This is a great looking fridge with the stainless but it can be hard to clean. So far i've had this fridge 1-1/2 months and its working great and i have had none of the problems people are talking about in there reviews but i think there only reviewing this product if they get a defective one. I am so happy with the size of this fridge and i like that the ice maker is on the door so that saves room in the freezer. Very Energy Efficient too, i actually got money back from my local power company, check your local power company to see if they have any offers for a tier 3 rating

I was waiting for the fridge performance to place my review since I had a really bad experience with another one, same model, that I purchase. It was a floor sample and it had the hose that takes the water to make the ice broken. But the brand new I got is excellent, very quiet, nice look inside and out. I like the nice lighting inside. Light blue light. I got my light bill a little bit lower, so it seems that saves energy. So far, I am very happy with it. I am also glad that Best Buy matched the lowest price found from a competitor.

I was told by the salesperson that the only difference between RS265TDPN and RS267TDPN was the temperature controlled drawer and the split shelf. List price was $200 difference. Since only the RS267TDRS was on display (at Sears) and I thought everything looked pretty nice and well designed so I opted in to save $200 by going with RS265TDPN (Platinum instead of stainless. Platinum has less fingerprints and works with magnets). Little did I know that the RS265TDPN had a huge FLAW no one had ever realized. The LED tower light on the RS265TDPN only had 6 LED lights vs 12 LEDs on RS267TDPN. (Just on the refrigerator side, freezer side both have 12 LEDs). Since the tower light shines from the back, it's even more difficult to see labels or food colors when it's casting a shadow. All the family members couldn't stand it. We had the RS265TDPN replaced with RS267TDPN. It's seriously day and night difference. For anyone considering either the RS265TDxx or RS263TDxx, please do yourself a favor and upgrade to the RS267TDxx. I am not sure why Samsung took a shortcut on the LED lights and not inform the public. LED lights are so cheap now.... I just don't get it! Other than lighting issues, this fridge runs in stealth mode! It's 10 times quieter than our 16yr old Amana and at least twice as quiet as the 2008 GE 25.5 side by side that my mother in law has. You'll have to listen very hard to know if it's running or not. Just amazing how quiet it operates. The ice maker on the door is a great idea for people like me who don't use ice that often and gain extra space inside the freezer for a lot more storeage. The ice bucket is on the small side though. One drawback with the ice maker on the door is that opening the door for extended period of time will cause heavy condensation on the door and possible melting of the ice. Could be a potential service call if water refreezes and jam the ice makers. To be observed. So far so good though. Another observation is that the blower fan would stop running every time when the door is opened, I think that's the reason why there's heavy condensation instead of American brands which usually keeps the fan running deliverying cold air even when the door is open. Overall, I think the's still room to improve, but it's the best one I've seen so far. You won't go wrong with this one for sure.

There is no perfect fridge I suppose, there will always be something to complain about. Overall this is a decent fridge, but for the price paid it should be a lot better. We replaced the first one we got because it would not turn off and was noisey. The replacement is better, but it is NOT quiet! When this unit starts up its emits a very noticeable high speed hum and soon slows to a hum. It always makes us think something is running outside, like a small car in the driveway. I hate this. Other than the noise, the design is great. Looks and function are tough to beat. The ice maker is tricky, but it actually broke in and has become easier over time. Samsung is lucky my wife hit the executive decision button and overrode my desire to buy the LG model for a little more ONLY because she likes the look of the Samsung better. I rate this fridge decently, but for the record, we have had trouble with EVERY Samsung product we have owned, from an HDTV, 2 Bluray players, 3 phones, and now this Fridge. We're done with Samsung.

With the exception of me denting the front of the fridge once the installation guys left, I feel tis is one of the "Best Buys" I've made in the thousand dollar range. I love the LED lights and the wine rack is to die for BUT the Ice maker has to be the most disappointing part to this purchase! It's slow and messy. Either cubed or chipped it's a guarantee that there will be some clean up after every use. The shelves don't leave much space for family sized products but they are easy to remove and allow many combinations to fit your needs! Overall, SATISFIED!

Bought this fridge the first week of June. So far so good. It is quiet, has plenty of space for everything we keep in it, ice maker works great, and the digital controls are easy to adjust. The only drawback is that the stainless steel has been dificult to keep free of fingerprints and streaks for any length of time. Cleaning with stainless steel cleaners and a pre-clean vinegar and water solution that the Best Buy rep recommended hasn't helped. We've tried three different cleaners and they all leave streak marks. Well other than that, we love it.

Love the features and look of this refrigerator. Ice maker in the door provides plenty of room inside. Took awhile for ice maker to fill to capacity for the first time, but now provides plenty of ice for a family of four. Wine rack is a great bonus! Lighting and shelving are abundant. Owned for about 6 months now with no problems. Love it!

We've had this refrigerator 1 month and so far it's been great. It is very quiet except when the ice falls into the bin and that's to be expected. I like that the ice maker is on the door because it frees up a lot of space in the freezer. The LED lighting is a big plus so it's easy to see the entire interior. The bins on the doors are large and hold a lot of items. The only minor complaint I have is that the stainless marks easily and it's a little hard to clean. Also, magnets don't adhere to the front which may be a good thing because there's no clutter. However, they do adhere to the sides of the refrigerator for the occasional note.

This is a great product with the price. Only my concern so far is that the ice cube sometimes get crashed. I also get some pieces of ice on the kitchen floor either with cube or crashed no matter how carefully and closely I keep the glass to dispenser. They have to improve this part. Other than that, I like the design and performance of the fridge. I recommend this product.

    Great Refrigerator!

So I just learned that Stainless Steel is not a good surface for all your refrigerator magnets! So, this fridge will look great in the kitchen because you can't cover it with anything! The sides are a dark gray (and magnetic), the lights are why we bought this refrigerator, the interior space is ample, the thing is so quiet we rarely hear it turn on, though the ice dropping makes you peak over to see if something fell in the kitchen. I occasionally use the ice maker and agree with the other reviewer, to operate the ice dispenser you must first choose you want ice (cubed/crushed) then push the cup in so far back that you think you are going to break the lever, it comes to a stop, then you have to push harder/farther... Then you can choose the water button and not push as hard for water. Nit-picky, but you would have to experience it to notice it. Then, move on with your life. This was about $500 more than we anticipated to spend on a fridge, but well worth it IMO. This fridge does not have the tracks on the drawers as the higher up versions do, but still they slide in/out better than the competitors as they are. (the only thing I wish this model had over the other models) Oh and the child lock? Apparently it locks the panel from being played with, but for some reason I thought it would actually lock the doors shut... I'm new to parenting so i just thought....

I've had this fridge for about a week now and overall I am impressed. It looks beautiful and has tons of room. The overall look and feel is great and the LED lights just add an additional touch of class. Cools down quickly and keeps food at the right temperatures. Only "negatives" are that the ice maker is a bit slow...but once it fills up you should be fine; and that the condenser can be a little noticeable. I've read some other review prior to purchase about the noise that the fridge can make. No it's not loud, or obnoxious, but you can hear it, especially when you place the fridge in power cool mode. Overall I'm very happy and would purchase again.

I have had this fridge for about two months and so far, so good. It cools evenly throughout and looks beautiful in my kitchen. My only issues have been with the ice maker. No problems with the water dispenser, but I have to press the lever very hard for the ice. I have some glasses that I won't press against it b/c I'm afraid I'll break them! Also, in the past two months the ice has gotten jammed three times....I have to reach in and dislodge the ice that is stuck or else the machine will continue to run nonstop, unsuccessfully trying to dispense ice. Otherwise, I am very pleased and feel great about my purchase.

Overall this is a great fridge. It is stylish, quiet, and the LED lighting is beautiful. It has all of the features needed, and overall is a good value compared to other similar products. It's also a Consumer Reports Best Buy. My only complaint is that the exterior scratches/dents easily so be VERY careful during installation

Thank you to everyone who reviewed before me - your reviews were an important factor in the initial evaluation process. Good ... Four generous refrigerator door storage shelves - plus small compartment at top. Plenty of room on refrigerator shelves. Plenty of room in crisper & meat drawers. Quiet and cold. Icemaker is removable in order to get ice for ice chest. Attractive design. Not so good ... Overwhelming "plastic" odor which also permeates food for a while. Improved after removing protective wrap on shelf edges - required placing boxes of baking soda to absorb the odor. Door handles are somewhat rough, feel hollow, are mounted a bit too high, and sometimes feel as if they mildly shock when grasped. Lighting is terrible on the refrigerator side - lights do not go high enough to light the top shelf, only one row of center lights so when items are in front of the one row, there is no light on the sides or at the top. (Our old Whirpool is so well lit ... but it has gone to the garage.) Lighting is somewhat better on the freezer side, lights go higher on the top shelf plus we have fewer things in the freezer side. Because of the poor lighting and the door handles issue, I was going to trade-up to the 29 cu ft but it was $500 more, door storage wasn't as good, however lighting was much better and door handles were smooth and balanced - but I decided to live with the poor lighting and not-so-great door handles on this model. Vertical shelf spacing doesn't have enough options. Our old Whirpool has vertical spacing about every 2" by comparison to very limited spacing options on this model. Had to remove the wine rack because the limited vertical spacing didn't leave enough space for items on the shelf below when the rack was in place. Crisper and meat drawers must be grasped in the center or they don't open and close properly. Neutral ... Can't comment on the water filter or icemaker yet - we have remodeling to do before we begin using them. Haven't had the drawers all out for cleaning yet so can't comment on ease of reassembling and replacing.

Like I said I would have liked more shelf space in the fridge, but I can easily make do with the drawers. I really like that I am able to fit a few 12 pack of cokes in the fridge and not have to have them at an awkward angle. I also love the fact that the ice maker is on the door. It makes less ice than other fridges, but it allows for more storage room. I also like the ability to change the temperature and the quick freeze/cool option.
