Do not buy this product. I purchased this expensive refrigerator and 1 year and 1 month, just outside the 1 year warranty the fan began making loud noises. I called Samsung directly and they set up a service with a local company never telling me that I would be responsible for payment. The service guy came and explained that there is a common design flaw with the Samsung refrigerators that cause ice build up behind the freezer. The fix or workaround is to move the sensor from the supply line in back to the outgoing line. This did in fact work and the ice is properly defrosted now before it builds up ( at least so far). However the service call cost me $87. Again, I didn’t even know I would be responsible since they set up the appointment and never mentioned I would have to pay. I called Samsung after I paid for the service call and talked a number of people including a manger in the customer service center names Robert who was very rude and basically said to bad it was out of warranty ( by one month). I argued that this is a design flaw and there are hundreds of blogs on the internet about this issue ( just google it) but it does not matter to these people. This was an expensive refrigerator and I purchased this when I remodeled my kitchen along with an expensive Samsung dish washer and a $2500 Samsung LED tv all of which I have had problems with. I will never buy another Samsung product again. Their customer service could care less and they continue to sell items with known design flaws. Also as others have posted, the ice dispensing is a joke. You will have to break your hand to push hard enough for the ice dispenser to work and the ice distributes in a wide angle causing most of the ice to shoot out over the floor and not in the cup. The whole touch screen is hard to work and only after pressing hard and for a number of times will it register. Save your money and buy a different brand. Feel free to e-mail me.

Me and my sister brought this refridgerator for our parents 11 days ago and it was well needed.The feature that hooked us was that the ice maker is in the door leaving more room in the freezer which is great. Got it at a great price, love the more space it gives the child lock option which is another great feature for our house. GREAT BUY

I love this fridge. it has a power cool setting which is great if you put in something that is still warm, it wont bring the overall temperture up. I love the LED lighting. The only thing I don't like is the ice maker capacity. it doesn't hold enough ice to filll even a small cooler.

We received the refrigerator on a Monday and by the weekend the ice dispenser stopped working. Best Buy repaired it but it took over 2 weeks. Only time will tell if the overall unit is reliable as it certainly did not start off well. This was the second highest rated refrigerator in consumer reports as I checked.

Great fridge. Only complaint is the water dispenser points too far toward the back of the glass and the flapper to engage the water doesn't shut off until you've almost got the glass out from under the dispenser. Makes for a mess often when guest use your door water dispenser. Otherwise great space, ice maker is in the door so good freezer space, good lighting inside.

First time we've had a refrigerator with an ice maker/dispenser & water dispenser. Love the LED lighting (one of the reasons we bought it).

I love samsung and this refrigerator did not disappoint. I love how sleek it looks and love the lighting inside. Its super quiet and has lots of shelf space. The only problemI have is that the ice dispenser leaks

First of all, this thing is HUGE! It didn't fit in the niche of the old fridge so we relocated it, which worked out fine. We got this unit at a significant discount due some minor cosmetic damage. Bestbuy delivery guys were fantastic - polite,punctual and very careful not to scratch my new floor. We noticed that it does run a bit loud sometimes, but when I increased the freezer temp that seemed to cure it. Also, the ice and water output are a bit energetic, but we quickly figured out the amount of pressure and angle that keeps everything in the cup. Ice took about 24 hours to fill and we have had no shortage, and it's been hot. It looks great and has ton of space.

Fridge works very well, But still room to improve. Additional lighting in the fridge section would be good. Icemaked didn't work when delivered & had to have the door replaced. More shelving location options. Very large & deep so make sure you have plenty of space as all new fridges seem to keep getting deeper.

Replaced my 10 yr old fridge with this. No reason, other than it was time to upgrade. Did a lot of research and decided on this fridge based on a bunch of criteria stainless, water\ice through the door, energy effecient. Had Best buy deliver it which I am always hesitant of but it went great. Everything is great about the fridge except one drawback. That happens to the be the bins. The design of the rails on the bins could have been better to allow for a better push and pull. I haven't had a problem with them yet. However, my old fridge had rails that had wheels and the slide was like butter. Overall I am very satisfied with this Fridge.

The door mounted ice maker never worked since it was delivered more than a month ago. Scheduling a service with Samsung was a very difficult experience (tried online, phone, and online chat) and took more than a week before they finally agreed to send someone out. The Samsung service technician who showed up, however, was courteous and tried his best to fix the problem - though unsuccessful during the first visit. I had to make another call, and they will be coming out again next time they are in the area to replace the entire freezer door.

The Fridge looks great and has plenty of space , but the first week i had it it quit making ice , Samsung had to send out a new ice compartment . Also the ice gets stuck in the shoot most the time and it falls on the floor so you will always be picking up ice from the floor. The other thing is you have to hold your cup when you get water for a second or two or you'll be cleaning water off the floor along with the ice.

As stated, this item is great overall!! We are pleased with the display, the food temp and the layout. However, it is a bit disturbing at 2am to hear a thump come from your kitchen to only realize that it's the ice maker dropping ice into the container. Making ice isn't noisy, just when it drops into the container. Plenty of room for everything!

Main problem is ice maker. Gets jammed if you use crushed. The flap that you push to get ice is so hard we have broken several glasses. Unit makes a low vibrating hum. My brothers Whirlpool Fridge is almost silent.

This is a good quality,good looking,large capacity refrigerator with stainless steel doors for a great price!(I got it on sale at Best Buy for $1077.49 total-delivered!).The freezer has a larger capacity than most side by sides thanks to the innovative door mounted design of the ice-maker(A large frozen pizza will lay flat on the top shelf!).This is also the quietest running refrigerator I've ever had.I also really like how it shows you the interior temperature of both the freezer and the frig.via a readout on the outside of the freezer door, each time you open one of the doors.I've only had mine for about 2 months,but so far I really like it,and I highly recommend it,especially if you can get it for around the price that I paid for it!PS It also qualifies for a $50 rebate from the electric co.,So I actually paid less for it than the price that I noted above!

$1600 down the toilet... Bought this model back in June of 2010. The ice maker has been replaced twice (once under warranty, fortunately, but $120 out-of-pocket the second time). Plus, the main board on it has been replaced once because it over-heated and the fridge shut down ($289... out of warranty). Now the fridge is out again, and won't cool any lower than 50 degrees (Second time now we've had to throw out over $100 worth of spoiled food). Trust me... This "ain't my first rodeo" with this kind of stuff. I've troubleshot it to death on the web, and tried several things to get it rolling again, short of ordering replacement parts and installing them myself. And, I'm not about to pay another big chunk of change to have this thing fixed again, nor do we want to come home in three months to find it's died out again. On a side note, I have another small gripe about this model... Who was the genius that decided to print in grey ink on a chrome sticker? You can't read the text around the controls on this model unless you spot it with a flashlight! Anyway, hopefully others have had a better experience than we have with this model, but this isn't the first time that a Samsung product has taken a dive in our household... Never again.

Was a little concerned there would not be enough lighting inside since the LED is not front and center, however not an issue..plenty of light. Def recommend this fridge.... But wait for a sale price.

We bought this fridge because of his nice look and solid build quality. It is so quiet and has a lot of storage compartments and a friendly looking interior light. Delivery from BestBuy was on time, nothing to complain.

Delivery was simple but later than hoped. Refrigerator is everything we expected. However the ice flow takes a little getting used to. It doesn't stop flowing right away when the lever is released!

Seems like a good refrigerator for the money. I've seen complaints about noise when running, but mine is quieter than any other frig I've owned. If you store many items the size of a gallon jug, forget it, the only place for a gallon jug is the door shelf because the main shelves can't be adjusted to fit something that size. This doesn't matter to me, but it might to some.
