everything on it works really well... Ice make could use a spout of some sort but other than that fridge works very well..

I purchased this refrigerator in April 2010, after much searching for the perfect refrigerator that had both style and function. One of the major features was the ice-maker--I liked the option of having both crushed and cubed. I also liked the glossy black exterior. It was not even a year when the ice maker bucket cracked due to over producing ice--after 3 cancelled service calls to Samsung support-since warranty was up in April. I did not expect to need an extended warranty. I had my previous refrigerator--not a Samsung--for over 20 years. The motor and noise from this refrigerator is LOUD--in the middle of the night can be heard upstairs. Finally after 2 ice buckets, the ice maker has completely stopped working--with 103 degree heat, Im having to use ice cube trays for ice--so NOT COOL. Also, on the front of the door, dents have appeared in the door--have no idea how this occurred. I have other Samsung products, including a 55 LED tv and felt confident purchasing the refrigerator--BIG MISTAKE.

I really like the refrigerator I bought from Best Buy, it's a step or two up from what I had..the only thing about it I don't like is that it don't have a tray under the water and ice depenser. So when you get ice it get kinda messy like the broken small pieces of ice ends up on the floor. Otherwise it is GREAT(in Tony The Tigers Voice) can't wait to buy my matching stove!

We shopped a lot of stores and refrigerators before we chose this one, for the same money it seemed to be the best and offered the better features. We have had it for a month now and it works great and runs quietly and make lots of ice

I love just about all Samsung products and this refrigerator tops that list. The price was good too.

Love the extras but the ice maker is slow making ice and when choosing crushed ice it splatters out the side even when you have a large cup underneath. All in all though it is a nice refridgerator.

If I can give this refrigerator 0 stars, I would. We bought this fridge in October 2011. A couple months later, we were already having problems. Our fridge simply cannot keep a consistent temperature. Sometimes the fridge side will become too warm for no reason, spoiling all our food. Sometimes I'll open up the fridge and it will be 10 degrees and everything will be frozen! No setting we try (including trying out the Power Cool, etc.) will regulate the temperature. We called Samsung, who came out and replaced a broken fan motor on the fridge. The next time it happened, Samsung replaced the entire back panel of the fridge that controls the temperature. Well, this morning we woke up to a 10 degree fridge again, and everything completely frozen over! Another thing, the water filter indicator light doesn't work. This fridge is less than a year old, and I'm convinced it's a lemon! I wish I can go back in time and never buy this fridge! Maybe our fridge is a rare exception, but be warned. Samsung is not easy to deal with. We still haven't received a new fridge OR a refund for the food lost. I just want this nightmare to end!

I bought this refrigerator at discount (open box) for $854.99 and it was a steal. It is very silent, consumes a fraction of the electricity that other similar units. It provides two types for ice (crushed and regular) plus cold water in the front door. Outstanding value for your money!

Unfortunately I would not recommend this unit to any buyer, I recently purchased this model then as soon it was delivered my nightmares starts; delivery crew plugged the unit to the power source as soon as it was connected I realized some of the light in the front panel were not lighting, delivery crew said it's normal allow 24 hours and it will be fine. Aster 3 days with no lights in the front panel I called the repair team, a few days later a Technician came to check the unit, he confirmed that more than a few features were not working such as led light, energy saver etc. He said it was defected item from manufacturer, technician recommended the easy way to get the problem solved was to call the store for a new unit so I did, temperatures were ok, just the issue with the front panel. 7 days later a second unit was delivered same Model, again delivery crew connects the unit to power then said allow 24 hours for the unit to cool down and they left, this time I though we had the problem solved since everything lighted up in the front panel. The next day when I opened the refrigerator temperatures were 80 'F in the refrigerator and about 75'F in the freezer my food went bad. Immediately called the Geek Squad team they had no one available to come see the unit during the hours I was at home so I waited 5 additional days, when the technician came to see the unit he give me a document that states the compressor was down, need new compressor and lines cleaned. At this point I was not in the mood to continue dealing with this unit, I went to the store and have it replaced for a different brand. With not having a working refrigerator at home for over a week I ended up spending additional $$ as I was forced to dine out every time until the other brand unit fixed the problem.

everything about this refrigerator is awesome. Very quiet. the only thing i miss is easy access to getting ice from the ice bucket easily.

This refrigerator work well, and that's the most important thing. However, it is much DEEPER than it seems in the showroom. The refrigerator itself sticks out ten inches past a standard 24" cabinet, and the door handles add another two inches past that. Be sure you have the room for it!

Ice dispenser doesn't work properly. We called to complain, and they said just use a larger cup. Well no matter what size cup you use, pieces of ice fly all over the floor - even when we choose cubes. I would not recommend this particular fridge to anyone. If you have children, forget it - they will never be able to get ice out of it without making a total mess.

Very nice fridge, quiet. Quit putting so many computers on things, its a refrigerator!

The fridge was a great value for the price. My only issue was that the compressor was unplugged in the back on delivery so I had to wait days for a 'repair' only to find that it was simply an unplugged cord. Other than that it's fabulous and working well now!

We bought this refrigerator earlier this year and bought the 3 yr warranty, after a month of owning it the motherboard failed, per tech, and replaced motherboard with a new one. Tech also warned us that this new refrigerators have a small compressor and vent on the bottom must be cleaned every 6 months. 2 months after the same problems exist and tech shows the same problem. Just waiting on one more break so Best Buy can replace this piece of junk out of my kitchen.

I am impressed with this, it is perfect for a single or small family, the price was great and this was an upgrade from my original purchase. I love how sleek this looks in my kitchen

While we loved the look of this Samsung Fridge, we are sending it back. The ice dispenser is messy and shoots extra ice over the sides of the cups. This normally would not be a big deal except that there is no water dispenser tray to catch any extra water or ice. There is an extremely shallow rim that is built into the glossy finish of the fridge, but it's not enough to catch anything. The extra water or ice splatters over the front of the fridge without anything there to catch it. The glossy finish below the water dispenser gets ruined by the hard Las Vegas water and makes the area look dingy and dull. We are switching to either an LG or GE that have a real water dispenser tray. It's really too bad that Samsung ruined a beautiful fridge with this oversight.

FRIGE WAS 14 MONTHS OLD AND HAD TO PUT 180.00 INTO IT THE MAIN COMPUTER BOARD WAS ONLY UNDER WARRENTY FOR 12 MONTHS NOW THAT THE FRIGE IS 18 MONTHS OLD WASHERS AND RINGS ARE FALLING OUT OF THE ICE MAKER AND YOU HAVE TO PULL THE LEVER TO STOP THE ICE FROM COMING OUT FRIGE LOOKS GOOD BUY IS NOTHING BUT JUNK YOU COULDNT PAY ME TO TAKE ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN ALSO THE FREEZER IS STARTING TO ICE UP THAT IS WHAT IT WAS DOING WHEN I PUT NEW PARTS IN IT ALSO WHEN YOU CALL SAMSUNG FOR A REPAIR THEY GIVE YOU A NUMBER TO CALL THE FIRST QUESTION THEY ASK IS IT STILL UNDER WARRENTY I HAD TWO COMPANYS WHO WOULD NOT COME BECAUSE THE FRIGE WAS 14 MONTHS OLD AND WAS OUT OF WARRENTY IF YOU WANT IT TO LOOK GOOD BUY THIS PRODUCT IT YOU WANT IT TO WORK BUY A WHIRLPOOL

Excellent Side by Side Frig.Very roomy,quiet,and modern.Love it was looking at French Door type.Glad stayed with this type.

I purchased this fridge just over a year ago. The icemaker stopped working almost immediately. The way it is designed, water drips from a rubber tube into a plastic tray, then the tray is dumped once the ice has formed. The rubber tube has frozen up multiple times, and repair men have been at my home several times as well. The freezer does not defrost properly. Behind the plastic panel inside the freezer, ice formed, interfering with the fan. When the repairman took off the panel, there was pounds of ice that formed. He said it is a common issue with this fridge. Avoid Samsung products.
