    Good Value For The Price

Samsung provides a stylish looking refrigerator that is spacious with ice and water through the door for a nice price. If you are planning to fill this refrigerator full of food or you want to carefully control how much ice you dispense into your glass, this refrigerator may be too low in the Samsung line for you. Samsung provides energy efficient LED lighting in this refrigerator, but they made lighting a value-added feature. That means that this refrigerator has only a few LED lights located only in the back of it and the more expensive models provide more lighting in better places. The ice dispenser takes a very firm push to engage the switch. Also, if you want to control the amount of ice that comes out, you will need to push and release several times. Otherwise the glass fills with ice all of the sudden. Additionally, the glass must be held tight to the top of the dispenser to prevent little pieces of ice from shooting out onto the floor. If you can live with these issues, this refrigerator is large, affordable and well-regarded for its reliability.

    OK for the money

Overall this is a good refrigerator. The good: shelf designs and spacing in freezer and fridge, electronic controls, runs very quiet, nice looking exterior/interior. The bad: water filter that came with it makes water taste terrible (will replace and hope new one is better), the water nozzle to dispense is angled towards the inside of the door instead of straight down...makes it difficult to fill certain containers, the led lighting inside is very cool looking but not bright enough, a bit noisy when dispensing water or ice maker filling with water. Overall, I am happy with the refrigerator...the awkward angle of the water nozzle is the only thing I really do not like. The freezer keeps food frozen and fridge keeps things nice and cool so it serves it's purpose.

    Loving this fridge!

Ok, so I read through the reviews before I bought the fridge and I was cautiously optimistic when I went out to actually look at it at the store. This particular unit was plugged in and I noticed the energy efficient LED's right away. Another person commented that higher end models have more lights and while this is true, I find I like the ambient lighting in this model. Is it as bright as a regular bulb? Probably not, but for energy efficiency it's a nice trade off and I've not had a problem finding anything in my fridge the past few weeks I've had it. Is the ice switch a bit difficult to push? Yes. I just use my finger instead of the glass, which I could see breaking if it is a thinner type glass. The ice will go shooting outside the cup if it's not placed up tight to the opening, but I noticed it only does this if you're using the crushed ice option. I've not had the problem with the "cubed ice" selection. Another reviewer commented that the water comes down at an angle. I agree it does, but has never been a problem. Overall I love the size of this fridge and all the nice features. Definitely a great value for the money.

This is a large fridge, with many features found on more expensive units. At first blush it looks like a good value, however on closer examination one has to wonder. i normally spend months researching a purchase of this magnatude, however this time I simply did not have the time. I rushed into the purchase, and am paying for it. The unit is poorly finished, with welds that do not meet, and insulation seeping out of seams. The Chilled water is maybe cooled a bit, and the ice maker is very slow. Now for $800 bucks, its not a bad deal, but if you are paying anything more than that you can do much better

I read the reviews before purchasing this, and it made me think twice. however, the fridge fit all of our criteria and was a great price, so we went for it anyway. We really like this fridge. True, the water/ice selector takes a minute to get used to. And the water does come out with some force. But we always use large cups, ice/water spillage issues reported by some have not been a problem for us. You do have to push the lever back far to activate the ice maker, but it really isn't a big deal. I actually haven't once tried to use crushed ice, so i cant speak to that. I don't like crushed ice and don't ever forsee using that feature. the lighting on the inside is pretty cool, it is LED and comes on soft, rather than having an incandescent bulb shining in your face. The pizza rack in the freezer is also a neat option.

    Not disappointed with my purchase!

We looked at as many fridges as we could before making our decision. This was one really caught my eye. All the shelves are movable on both sides, two big and one small drawers to use. The door shelves to the fridge are big enough to hold a one gallon size milk (nice and wide). The freezer has an area next to the ice maker for pizza size boxes, so nice. The shelves and drawers from what i can see as we have had the fridge for over two months now are very sturdy. The ice maker makes a little noise as it drops ice into the bin or adds more water but after a few weeks you sorta don't hear it anymore. That noise is normal in any fridge! We have yet to have had to replace the filter in the fridge and we use alot of water and ice. The digital front to the ice maker and water at first was hard to learn but then i was like after a few days it was really easy.

2 months into my purchase the crushed ice light stop working. This could also be due to my sister not knowing how to work the icemaker, but blaming Samsung is what she suggest :). Other than that, the fridge is nice, spacious, and easy to operate. The ice maker was a bit quiet when I first purchased it, now it's a bit louder. I wonder if it will get louder over time..........

Very roomy and awesome interior compared to most fridges, also with the LED lighting. Convenient drawers and spaces such as the slot next to the ice maker for frozen pizzas and big frozen dinners. The ice maker fills and refills ice very quickly, but the only gripe with it is that it dispenses ice way to fast and almost shoots it out. When too much ice gets in the crusher it doesn't crush the ice too well. Being a black fridge fingerprints are only a issue if you have young kids but with a quick wipe there gone. But for the price I paid a very good fridge.

    Samsung Refrigerator

This is a great refrigerator. I love the efficient light blue bulbs that came with the refrigerator. It even beeps when it has been opened for too long. I also like that the temperature gauge for the refrigerator is on the outside. The color that the blue lights on the outside of the refrigerator let off in your kitchen is just marvelous. Also I love the fact that the compartments on the side of the refrigerator can hold up to a gallon of milk. This saves room in your refrigerator. Lots of space. If you are looking for a good refrigerator at a great price this would be the one. Low price, but this refrigerator looks expensive. The only downfall would be, that you have to press the cupholder a little hard for ice or water to come out. If they corrected this flaw the refrigerator would be perfect.

The frig is beautiful and a great size. Makes ice fast, plus has water filter for great ice, and drinking water. The only problem, which others have stated. The ice despenser lever is not position correctly. You must pull your glass all the way out to stop the flow is ice. It keeps despensing ice and will go all over the floor.

well first of all best buy didnt have it plugged in so i couldnt see the lights but thats not a problem its bright enough i mean i can just turn the kitchen light on if i have too, and i didnt read any reviews which i feel like i rushed it well read other reviews and we all have same complaints, ice goes everywhere when set on crush which ive never seen a fridge that doesnt miss a little, dont have a problem with the water except that its not cold it comes out the same temp as the water hose wich is a let down, its deeper than expected, and tons of room in freezer but lack room in fridge, its looks good matches other appliances but if i hadnt missed when they sayed the sale was over i was going to buy the 1800 french door one with good reviews after coming home from the purchase and reading the bad ones on this one , also!! that dang 3 seconds u have to wait to select waater and ice is annoying why not a seperate lever to gfet the icve everyone is right it needs to be pushed hard about 10 pounds of prssure, i love the design as far as apperance but i think they could of did something with the water and ice dispenser, love the led lights in it and the display , i mean its only 900 buks im happy with the purchase but i didnt expect for the reviews to be right.... its better than our old one and i didnt have to spend a ton, i also got the 5 hyr warranty so thats my goal on life expectancy

    So far,So good

Our main fridge died of exhaustion may 25th 2011, we ended buying this fridge the same day as display model, two days later I checked out the reviews on BB website and wasn't happy with what I was reading, a short trip back to BB and we purchased the extended warranty, so far the only problem we encountered was the ice maker, it shoots the ice out hard, the ice / water dispenser leaver has to be pushed back to the second detent to disperse ice, it's a little hard to push back, if your using thin glass the glass could shatter, we just put one finger behind the glass and push it back like that, crushed ice is a different story, it makes a mess all over the floor from shooting it out so hard, and we have had one incident where the ice maker wouldn't stop after the glass was removed, we filled a 10 quart bowl with ice before it finally stopped, then had to clear the ice from the chute inside the door and the ice maker by hand (Only happened once), the led lights are nice but not placed in the best locations, other then the ice maker, So far...So good, ...what else can I say it's a fridge, you never give them a second thought until they stop working

I read many reviews before making this purchase and I have to agree with most. Yes, it is very roomy. My girls and I love that. It's relatively quiet. That's a plus also. Since I have an 11 & 13 year old, the door ajar alarm has been a nice plus for us as well. As many other reviewers stated, the ice platters everywhere when you do crushed ice. We seal the mouth of the cup over the dispenser while pressing and that mostly takes care of the splatters. It's not a major deal for us. What's most important is the room capacity it has, both in the refrigerator and the freezer. And I personally like the sturdiness of the door shelves on both sides. The door shelves in our old refrigerator were delicate. It was rather easy for the shelf to fall off if you didn't watch how you placed something in it. It's a wonderful upgrade for us. Our old one died.

I bought this last spring as part of the Cash for Appliances program. I was pleased to find a nice side-by-side fridge that qualified for the rebate without being overly expensive. It's a great looking refrigerator. The LED lighting inside took a little getting used to - it isn't as warm and bright as incandescent light bulbs. Like other people have mentioned, the ice dispenser is a little hinky. You have to push hard to get ice, and every once in a while (not that often, really), it will spit out an extra cube a few moments after getting ice. As a result, we've put a small area rug in front of the fridge. A month ago, however, when we changed the water filter, we noticed that the filter status light no longer came on. We tried resetting the filter a couple times, but it didn't work. Then the LED light for the cubed ice started to get dim. We called for service and Samsung sent someone out really promptly. They changed the entire control panel. Hopefully this won't be a problem in the future, but I have to admit that I'm a bit concerned. I've never had an appliance have a problem so soon after purchase.

I really like this Refrigerator the LED lights are awesome. It is easy to change the settings. It is laid out well inside, plenty of room. The but? The ice Maker only gave crushed ice never cubed. We had to call Samsung to come out and fix it. I would reccomend it anyway, the service was quick and easy.

We bought this fridge to replace a fridge that is as old as me. We looked around for two months because my husband and I could not agree on a style. We were window shopping at Best Buy and came across this fridge. The price was great but the sales person was able to get us a better price because of the price match, which included free shipping. The guys arrived with the fridge on time and explained to us how to get the water line setup. The fridge is sleek looking but it does get dirty on the front. We love the pizza storage and the placement of the ice machine. The fridge is so quiet when it makes ice it’s amazing. The one down fall is when you are getting ice you need to hold your glass just right or little pieces of ice shoot onto the floor. I now have this mastered so no problems there. It keeps things cold and the storage is great. We have not had any problems finding places for anything even out wine bottles!

I just got this yesterday, and to use a pun here, a lightbulb went off once it was installed in my home. I opened fridge side, and lo and behold, it's very difficult to see the items in there. The only lights are in the back. Perhaps this is the reason this was the only fridge that wasn't plugged in, in the store? Could it be that the Best Buy or Samsung people didn't want you to see how poor the lighting inside the unit is at the risk of your not buying it? I wouldn't be surprised. Another lighting issue is the touch screen. While there are cool blue LED lights showing you what functions you've pressed, the places to push the functions are not backlit, so in a dark kitchen, you can't see WATER or ICE or LIGHT in order to press them. Lastly,as noted on other reviews, you really have to press hard to get ice. (Not water, though). For water, there's good pressure, but it's a bit skewed to the side and not down the middle. Nice fridge. I have only had it a day, but those are issues we noted on the first day of use. I suppose once (or IF) we get used to the lighting, I'll find it a good value. If not, we have 30 days to return, because the lighting is really bad. On top of the sale price, the manager was kind and smart enough to give me a gift card because of a screw up on the delivery, once I explained to him the lost time from work I needed to spend.
