I purchased this unit 5/2010 and have had issues with the control panels twice to date. In 8/2010 noticed the ice maker stop working, but didn't understand why. Several lights on the display panel started to go out and the ice on/off button was one of them. The parts finally arrived and were installed on 10/1/2010. On 11/5/2010, the lights on the display panel appeared to be malfunctioning again. But, the unit appeared to still be working. On 11/7/2010, noticed everything in refrigerator was spoiled and everything in freezer was unthawed! Like other owners stated, the ice dispenser is very hard to push and ice does not always make it in the glass. The control panel is very sensitive and settings change with a brush of someone walking pass. The mirror finish shows every fingerprint and watermark. The unit holds plenty of food, but what is the use if the display panel consistently malfunctions and it all spoils.

This is a great fridge! It is absolutely huge! I have always steered clear of side by side fridges because of the seemingly waste of space, however this fridge has changed my mind. There is plenty of shelf space, in the fridge and in the doors themselves. The vegetable crisper drawer is very deep, there is no need for two drawers here. Plus, there is another drawer of fairly comprable size that can be used for whatever, deli meats, cheeses, only fruit, etc. The water dispenser is a wonderful added function. My only complaint is that the water is not chilled, only cool. The ice dispenser works great for regular cubes, but is kind of lacking when it comes to crushed ice. The grinder does not make a uniformed size of crushed ice, it comes out in a mixture of large cube pieces mixed with the equivalent of snow cone ice. That's not the reason why I bought this fridge, so it's not a big concern for me. All in all, I am very happy with it.

Although the refrigerator and freezer work well, the icemaker and water in the door, not so much. The ice maker is small and, therefore, can't hold a lot. The water sometimes comes out cold and it doesn't taste that great even though we have reset the filter. It's still a great value overall since that is not the main reason that I purchased this refrigerator. So long as it is keeping my food cold, I am happy.

I read the previous reviews AFTER I had ordered my fridge but hadn't had it delivered yet. There were a lot of comments about the ice maker being loud, shooting ice out, making a mess using the ice/water dispensers, bad lighting inside, etc. Yes I can hear the ice maker drop the ice and refill, but that means it's working. It's much quieter than when I would empty ice trays into my ice bin. There's a lot of space inside both the freezer and fridge, and the LED lights are great. The filtered water and ice taste like nothing... which is the point. :) Much better than the Pur or Brita filters I had attached to my kitchen faucet over the last few years. I don't have a problem with the ice shooting out all over the place, nor breaking a glass glass. I love my Samsung fridge (and washer, and phone). Eventually I plan on having all Samsung appliances in my house. Great product, and great results!

We recently bought this frig when our very similar (but different brand) frig died. I love the space in the freezer that actually holds a pizza box. That is very difficult to find. My only complaint is how the ice dispenses. It comes out VERY fast and scatters onto the floor. It also has a lot of ice chips even though the setting is on cubes. We are thinking of getting a wood floor and I am concerned about the melting ice on the wood floors as it scatters that much.

When we went looking for new appliances we were looking for stainless steel, but when we saw this particular style and color, we changed our minds and decided to go with black. There's plenty of room for your food. I also love how you can select the freeze settings and the refrigerator temperature very easily. The filter is wonderful and last a long time. We purchased this refrigerator in 2008 and the filter light just came on last week. The price of the refrigerator was very economical, but looks more expensive than the price we paid. We did shop around, but the color and price sold us on the spot. A week later, we went back and purchased a black stove. Love You Best Buy!

For the money, this fridge is great. When compared to other fridges in this price category it really was much better than anything else out there. It has plenty of room, ice/water on the door is nice, door shelves work well and to me it's very stylish. The only problem I have with this fridge is the ice maker, as someone else noted in their review that it is hard to push and they actually broke a glass. I actually had the same exact problem, I broke a glass while pressing in as well. Ever since that happened I've been pushing in the lever by hand. If Samsung would fix this problem I would give this 5 stars.

When I bought this it was on sale. I looked at all the features carefully and thought this was the best for the price. First it has 25.6 QF. Water and Ice in the door with enough space for a tall glass. 2 Temp control drawers. My kids always changed the dial in my old Maytag. This one is digitally programed and adjustable with the Ice and water buttons. (my kids have not caused anything to freeze yet!) The water and Ice in the door has worked great. This model uses several one watt LED'S for the lighting and is rated to only cost 56.00 per year to run. I bought the extra warranty just in case the Ice maker stops working. (This happened 7 times with my previous Maytag) As of writing this review I have had nothing go wrong and would buy it again.

It has been working great since we put it in. Has more room than I expected once we started filling it up. The lighting is good even when it has allot in it. Make sure you measure all doors that it must come thru to get in - it is big. The dimensions listed are accurate and no room, I had the exact size opening and it just fit.

Had to take doors off to get through a 36" doorway. Cooled down quickly. Like the controls and lights on exterior. Quickly makes ice, but cubes are smaller than previous model. Shelving on doors has minimal adjustment, reducing storage. We were able to buy more shelves for previous model to maximize storage. Shiny door shows everything. Previous model was textured black. Does an excellent job cooling and freezing food.

Very nice refrigerator, has lot's of storage space, very nice design, water and ice alway's very fresh tasting, however the ice maker takes up allot of space in freezer. Overall Very pleased with with my purchase.

The controls are easy to figure out even without reading the manual. The filter is easily accessible from the front without having to pull the unit out or apart. Very spacious and the door drawers are adjustable. Very nice look and feel to the fridge. Very pleased with this product.

Replaced 10 year old Whirlpool with this fridge . Space in both the freezer and fridge are much better than our old one after we adjusted the shelves to our liking . Yes , the shiny black doors show a lot of fingerprints / smudges , but are easily removed with microfiber cloth . The ice maker makes a little noise , but not as bad as our old fridge. The ice dispenser takes getting used to - no big issue . Found replacement water filters via internet at big savings . Bought thermometers for fridge and freezer locally so we know temperatures constantly - keeps items the right temperature at minimal settings - save a few $ , we hope . This is our first Samsung appliance - hope it lasts like our electronics have . Best Buy delivery guys were A+ . Very pleased with this purchase thus far .

I have had this fridge since April and I really like it. The shelves are all adjustable, plenty of room for everything even odd shaped items. I love the gallon and drink storage in the door and the LED lights inside. Great energy star appliance. Drawbacks- The ice dispenser and water dispenser both dispense very strongly. In other words, the ice comes shooting out very quickly and you have to stop it a few seconds before your cup is full or it overflows. The water dispenser is also very vigorous and if you have a small cup or ice in the cup water sprays off of it and spills out. These are pretty minor but when I was recently at a friends house and used her fridge dispenser and saw how "gently" the ice and water came out, I was suprised. I paid only $885 for this in April of 2010 at Best Buy.

I have a Samsung TV that I love. Thought the same quality would go into this as well. I was wrong. The Ice maker is very slow and noisy and crushed ice goes everywhere but my glass. The really big problem though is behind the freezer. It keeps building up ice until it hits the fan. Then the real noise starts. Even though customer service has been out to fix it while it was under warranty it still has the same issue. Clearly they did not fix it. Now I have to pay to have someone come out and fix it again. Looks like I may have to pay $100/yr. plus parts just to keep it running??? Just doesn't seem right to me. At least the LED lighting is nice.

The refrigerator works great and I have no complaints. The biggest issue I have is every time I get ice if my cup isn't 4-6 inches round it will throw ice all the place.. Ice will drop out 2-3 minutes after I walk away. You have to push kind of hard on the lever to get it to start dispensing ice. I also did not like the angle of the lever before it would start dispensing. It would angle back and cuase the glass to slide down and it would stop dispensing so you have to push again. It was enough of a problem for me that I exchanged it for an LG brand. If ice is not a big issue to you this is a great refrigerator. Otherwise, look at other brands until they do something about the current style.

Very happy with this regrigerator. Very large for a side by side. Lots more room than my old side by side.

This is a great fridge and we are very happy with it. You get a lot of features for the money. Other reviews complain about the ice dispenser, but we have no problem with ours. In order for the ice to come out you simply have to give the dispenser one extra push. Once you figure that out, it's very easy. The fridge is very quiet and looks great in our kitchen.

Really like the space for frozen pizzas. Ice maker shoots,out some slivers occasionally. Have seen the comments about the water dispenser facing inward so it's hard to fill a water bottle. Not an issue for me.

My husband and I bought this refrigerator 4 months ago and love it! It is sleek and does everything that it is supposed to do. Before I bought this I was skeptic after reading some reviews that it messed up after a couple of months or that the ice was jet powered, but luckily I have not had any of those problems and am quite thrilled with our product. We bought it when it was on sale for 750 and it was well worth that and some. I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to friends. The LED lights are a plus, too!
