Purchased 1/6/2022, delivered 1/15/2022, freezer died 3/29/2022. Unable to get service until 4/8. Lost items in freezer. Disheartening because we’ve had otherwise great experience with other Samsung products.

I am not a fan of this refrigerator ! Every time you touch it the doors dent! I paid $1400 for it and within 2 years, it looks older than the refrigerator I had before this .

The Samsung 27.5 cu. ft. refrigerator offers exceptional performance and functionality, making it a reliable choice for both household and professional use. Its spacious interior allows for efficient food organization and storage, accommodating large quantities with ease. The cooling system ensures consistent temperature control, preserving food freshness and quality at all times. Additionally, the ice maker operates efficiently, producing ice quickly and smoothly without occupying excessive freezer space. Overall, this model stands out for its advanced cooling technology, generous capacity, and dependable operation, making it a strong recommendation for anyone seeking a high-performance refrigerator.

We killed our aging refrigerator with an overnight, open freezer door. This is a basic unit. Maybe a bit more basic than I realized.
Its fake Stainless steel.
CONS:
Door It appears to be a printed "stainless pattern with a protective coat over normal steel.
The ice maker is small and slow. I am not sure it makes enough ice for a family of four on a summer day. The feed system is also flawed as it will not catch the last few cubs in the bin for the door feed.
Shelves are NOT adjustable. the top shelf in the freezer has two levels about 1.5 inches different.
LED lights are daylight color temp balanced so look blue most of the time and do not light up lower shelves.
You have to turn off the water to change the filter cartridge! REALLY?
PROS:
Door magnets stick to the Faux stainless steel.
IT is clean looking
It has a lot of room!! with only basic organizing tools built-in.
IT supports power cooling and Power freezer modes to get a burst of cool if needed.
It has a door alarm.
It could be delivered in 2 days.
My guess if I could have looked and wasn't in need, I might have chosen a different unit, but need and Virus world meant taking a risk.
Overall I like it and I like the idea of the Inverter Compressor so it can adjust power use to need vs On OFF On OFF etc.
But Samsung. Adding $2 in extra lower LEDs. And a better ice feed system and this would be a much nicer unit with not much extra manufacturing cost.

I’ve had the Samsung 27.4 cu. ft. side-by-side fridge in black stainless steel for a while now, and overall, I’m really happy with it. The design is sleek and modern – it looks fantastic in my kitchen and resists fingerprints pretty well, which is a nice bonus.
One of the biggest positives for me is the space. It easily fits all our groceries for the week with room to spare. The shelves and compartments help keep everything organized, though I do wish there was a bit more flexibility in adjusting shelf height.
The cooling has been consistent, and the freezer is surprisingly roomy. That said, the ice maker has been a bit hit or miss. It works, but occasionally it takes longer to refill or gets jammed up a little. Also, the water/ice dispenser could use a bit more lighting – it’s hard to see at night.
Despite those small issues, I’d still recommend this fridge. For the price, design, and storage capacity, it’s a solid choice.

Good fridge

The fridge is very big and lot of space. Cools very well.
I like the fact it doesn't have handles, save space.
Negative things:
1. No light in the indoor water dispenser.
2. Less options to play with shelf location.
3. 1 drawer only on freezer side (old model had 2) and the drawer is smaller.
4. Ice maker is slower and has less ice in it.
Nothing which is a deal breaker from my perspective.
Not related to the product, the fridge was delivered with lots of dings and scratches on doors. Called Best Buy and they scheduled a replacement fridge immediately that I got within a week later and that fridge was in great condition (as it should). Way to go Best Buy for taking care of the issue in a quick and professional way. this is how it should be.

The refrigerator was delivered all dinged up on the door! Needless to say, it went back. As far as the quality of the refrigerator, I'm unsure. I ended up purchasing a different refrigerator, same brand.

Judging whether the refrigerator is cooling enough can take time and effort. Still, the two most common guidelines are that the display will blink or show an error code if it detects something is wrong or if food will be spoiling before its expiration date. A few months in and this fridge has performed excellent. I wish it had a light on the water dispenser. I added my own. Very quiet, makes great ice cubes and has been holding a cold temp (verified)
Good for cost, doesnt have a ton of extra features

On sale, this refrigerator is a good deal, and has plenty of space. However, 2 things to note is that the water dispenser does not dispense cold water, it is always tap temperature, I am not sure if this is by design or a malfunction. The second note is the manual says the ice maker makes a specific amount of ice per day, and we are seeing less than 1/2 of that. There is a power cool feature for the freezer that increases ice production and will run for 50 hours, but this cant be the solution for increasing ice production. I am going to try lowering the freezer temp and see if that changes anything.

We bought this fridge when our old one stopped cooling properly. The old one would have been almost as expensive to repair as this unit was to purchase on sale, so we figured we couldn't go wrong. And we didn't. Overall, this has been a nice refrigerator for us. The temperature is fairly consistent in both the freezer and refrigerator compartments. It's quiet and seems relatively energy efficient. The filtered water which we drink from it is delicious. The capacity is just right for our family. The only very unfortunate thing about this unit is that the ice maker is, shall we say, absolutely horrible. It makes ice at what seems to be the rate of 17 cubes per century (an exaggeration, to be sure, but one which conveys how much we absolutely dislike the ice maker in this freezer). I'm not sure there are a lot of great ice makers in side-by-side refrigerators, but this one has to be nearly the worst. We had to purchase a countertop ice maker to supplement the poor ice delivery in this system. Other than that small gripe, though, we would totally recommend this refrigerator.

Very well-built fridge! Uses the new R600 refrigerant and it cools down fast! It was reaching its set temp within a couple hours of plugging it in. But the cons outweighed the pros for me.
Pros:
It's quiet! You can barely hear this thing running. The fans quietly kick on and off to recirculate the air throughout the day and the compressor ramps up if more cold air is needed. The all-around cooling is nice, the air just kinda comes from everywhere.
Ice maker is very compact, and the cubes are a nice size. Water dispenser has the highest flow rate of seen! Fills bottles quickly and the touch controls are simple and sleek with a satisfying chime when pressed.
The build quality of this thing rivals much more expensive fridges (I became more familiar with this than I should have having looked at several in person). The fit and finish is good, no sloppy assembly here. The doors have a good feel to them and close with a solid 'thud'. The core of this fridge seems very well designed and the cooling system seems like it'll last a long time. This is how fridges used to be built!
Cons:
The handle-less doors make the fridge a little more imposing depth-wise. This can be very noticeable in tight spaces. The handles are difficult to get used to. You’ll have to train yourself to use the right hand to open the left door and the left hand to open the right otherwise you’ll be awkwardly twisting your wrists.
The LED lighting is poor, it only emits from the top which means as soon as you fill the fridge, the light to the lower shelves gets blocked. I feel like stuff will easily get lost in the lower spaces. The lighting situation is disappointing since our 10-year-old fridge had lights throughout.
Shelves are not adjustable so you better like the placement; soda bottles must go in the door.
Icemaker is very slow at producing ice (a byproduct of its compact size I suppose), if you use a lot of it, you may find yourself running out. The water dispenser doesn’t have a light! I didn’t know how much I’d miss this until I was spraying water on my feet in the middle of the night. Speaking of the dispenser, the nozzle is too far forward, it’s easy for it to miss the glass or bottle completely if the opening is on the smaller side.
No deli drawer! This seems to be a theme with modern fridges, but I’m not a fan. I don’t like just tossing ham and bags of cheese on the shelves willy nilly…
Conclusion:
If you want a fridge that performs its core purpose of reliably keeping food cold for many years, this is the one to get! But if you’re used to a more conventional fridge, look elsewhere.

This is our 2nd time purchasing a Samsung fridge. We are extremely pleased with everything about this particular model. It looks great on the outside and performs perfectly on the inside. It's so quite! There is lots of space on both sides. Pizza boxes fit on the freezer shelves with no problem. It's well designed. Only 2 things I would have preferred are an extra drawer on the fridge side and a light for the water dispenser. Highly recommend this model!
