The Samsung Odyssey G4 is an impressive monitor for gaming and everyday use. The 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make gameplay extremely smooth with no noticeable lag or ghosting. Colors are bright and accurate, and the overall design looks sleek and modern on my desk. The adjustable stand is a big plus for getting the perfect angle. The only downside is that the built-in settings menu can be a little tricky to navigate at first, and the speakers aren’t very strong — but that’s expected for most gaming monitors. Overall, it’s an excellent choice if you want high performance and great visuals without breaking the bank.

I really like this monitor! 27" seems to be the perfect size, immersive for gaming without overpowering the desk space. I love the height-adjustable stand and that the monitor can tilt and swivel to pretty much any angle. I'm not sure I'd ever have a use for it vertically, but if I found one, it's nice to have the option. The 1080p display is great. There's a small part of me that wishes I'd gotten a 1440p instead, not gonna lie... but my games look gorgeous on this regardless, so I'm not gonna kick myself too hard over it. I didn't even mess with any settings and the picture is bright, vibrant, and crisp. Even when just web browsing or doing non-gaming activities, the screen is clear at this size and resolution. The 240hz refresh rate is AWESOME too! I upgraded from a 24" 60hz monitor and I could hardly believe the difference. I didn't even realize how many FPS I'd been missing out on, lol. (For the record, I pretty much only play single-player RPGs and nothing competitive, so I can't speak to how it would work for more fast-paced FPS games. I imagine fine due to the high refresh rate and fast response time. But as far as visual fidelity goes, the picture on this is beautiful.) It's nice having 2 HDMI ports plus a display port, so I don't have to use a splitter like I did with my old monitor. The only issue I have is with the feature that's supposed to auto-detect which input your device is using. It never seems to do that for me, so I need to manually change it from DP to HDMI, but I don't switch inputs super often so it's no bother. I don't find the settings menu difficult to navigate either to do so. The only reason I knocked off a star is for the aesthetic factor. This may not be important to a lot of people, but I know a lot of us like our gaming setups to look nice, and this monitor... eh. I wish I'd looked closer at the pictures before I bought cause I probably would have went with something more sleek. It has a pretty thick border/bezel, and I'm not sure what the grills (?) are for on both sides of the bottom border. At first I thought they were speakers, but this monitor doesn't have them built in so idk what that design choice is about, unless someone can enlighten me. What bugs me the most though is the NVIDIA G-sync logo right on the front of the monitor at the bottom left (pictured). It's just... unnecessary? Again, I wish I'd looked at the listing/review photos closer. I was hoping it was just a sticker that could come off, but nope. TLDR: Great display at 1080p, versatile, and easy to set up + use. Just wish it was more attractive. Samsung has been a trusted brand of mine for years, and overall I'm happy with this purchase.

Coming from a 25in 240hz Alienware monitor, I was a little worried about the lower pixel density due to the same resolution (1080p) being stretched now over a larger surface area of 27in. I've had this issue before with the 27in Alienware 240hz monitor, one of the main reasons I switched to the smaller 25in. But to my surprise this samsung panel does some magic with the image it displays. The picture is clear and pixels are not noticeable, at least to my eyes. The colors are the most vibrant I have ever seen on a computer monitor. I purchased the screen at 279.99 on sale, for that price I cant think of anything that would beat it. If your system doesn't do nicely to 1440p, this is the 1080p monitor to try. In regards to the refresh rate, at 240hz I was unable to see any blurring or ghosting on games like Valorant or Apex Legends which I did notice on the 27in Alienware screen. I attached a photo of my setup to show the size difference from my 24in second monitor and the 27in samsung.

The monitor offers an impressive blend of performance and visual quality, and it also has a very good refresh rate (240Hz). I would say the only downside for some people would be the lack of built-in speakers which would have to make you use an external speaker, which isn't a big deal for me but it's something that you might consider. I bought this monitor a little bit ago and before I wanted to make a review I wanted to test it out for a while. My initial thoughts on it was, Oh? It will just be another monitor nothing too special. But no, this monitor was amazing it had all the features I could ask for, the clean looks, and most importantly the performance it brings, I switched from 165hz to 240 and wow I can say the difference is amazing and especially this monitor. Overall a 10/10

This monitor is insane for gaming! The 240Hz refresh rate makes everything feel super smooth, and the 1ms response time is perfect for shooters like Warzone, Valorant, and Apex. I noticed a big difference in reaction time compared to my old 60Hz monitor. The colors are bright and clear, and G-Sync/Freesync keep everything looking clean with no screen tearing. What can I say? I’m back with another review this time it’s about this killer monitor that throws out my other monitor. I know I’m rambling but it’s really that great. Picture perfect refresh rate. I love seeing the drastic improvement of your art. Yes Art. Every year you guys steadily improve your art and it definitely shows. ( Now for the grand finale of seeing the complete desk. Very good monitor for pc gaming it ran smooth and had very good quality. The customer service was very easy all I had to do was order and wait for my notification to pick it up and went to pick it up and it was very simple show them the barcode and id and they send you on your way with the product. Very satisfied with Best Buy and their products and process.

What a great monitor. I was using an old school Samsung monitor for gaming but it wasn’t cutting it. This monitor in full performance plays 120HZ in all games! Must buy…

One of the best monitors I've ever had. The refresh rate handles everything I can throw at it (within the limits of my graphics card), the adjustable height makes it sitting on my monitor riser on my desk much easier, and it's vibrant without being overbearing. Worth it.

I bought one of these for gaming almost 2 years ago @ $220. I used it along with my 32" and 24" monitors. Today I'm going to pick up 2 more @ $200 each for a triple setup. The colors are decent and the response time is fire. It looks clear for a 1080 on a 27". I normally use a 24" 1440 for graphic design, and while not quite that crisp, by no means am I disappointed when using this one. I should mention my eyesight is atrocious. It even has an aux port for adding headphones or speakers. I have never been happy with onboard speakers compared to a satellite. My hearing is very sensitive and I'm glad Samsung put the money into image quality rather than wasting time throwing speakers that would most likely sound like crap anyway. I'm sure my Samsung soundbar or even earbuds blows away anything they would have put on here. Easy to unpack, set up, and fine-tune with the loads of features in the menu. The built-on stand is great. I love being able to flip from landscape to portrait at any moment. I am looking forward to getting the other two later today.

I use it for gaming on my ps5. I usually play COD so the refresh rate is awesome.... i really like it even after almost 2 months its a great buy. Its not 4k but works for what i use it for and i think the visual quality of screen is just fine... also the screen swivels in multiple directions, raises, and lowers.... very nice quality.... it does not have speakers..... just FYI

This monitor includes everything the description says it has: 240 Hz refresh rate, 1920 x 1080 resolution, G-SYNC compatibility (not the same thing as native G-SYNC!), and an IPS panel that can tilt/rotate/pivot/go up and down. The build quality is solid and the rubberized base makes it pretty sturdy. A DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI cable were included in the box. The monitor's menu (which is accessed by pressing the center navigation button) contains a lot of features that I recommend messing around with. Some complaints however. The menu navigation buttons underneath the monitor are small and have awkward designs that make them hard to use. I'd much rather use a joystick to navigate around the menu like my old LG monitor did. Also, Windows detects that this monitor has speakers even though it doesn't. The virtual aimpoint option is pretty much useless since all the crosshairs are comedically large and are straight-up ugly. Setting the response time option to "Extreme" produced a nasty ghosting effect while gaming. This isn't a problem if you plan on using G-SYNC. Overall, this monitor is a good choice for those looking for a cheap 1080p monitor with a high refresh rate. I would only buy it when it's on sale though.

This monitor is probably one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’m a laptop gamer and it made it such a comfortable transition into dual-monitoring. I was so used to 144Hz refresh rate before turning this thing on for the first time—and with 240Hz, a whole world of possibilities opened up for me.On top of it all, it was pretty easy to set up, no issues (except my personal poor cable management).
