I bought this for my cottage so I was looking more for price and convenience then a ton of added features. It is a nice fridge with great lighting and space. The water and ice are slower than the LG I have at home but it was also a $1000 more. For a simple, nice Stainless fridge with standard water/ice option, for the price you cant go wrong.

Lots of usable space for the dimensions of the fridge. Others of the same size have much less interior available space. Sliding freezer drawer inside the freezer allows for easier and more efficient use of the freezer space. Ice maker works great, although sometimes you can hear it. The fridge is easy to keep clean inside and out. With all its features, it is an excellent value for the price. I would definitely buy this refrigerator again!
Only took down a star because the ice machine/fridge itself can be noisy at times.

Week 4 and I Love It

It's been just about a month and I've no major complaints about this fridge. It does it's job and does it well. This is our first french door fridge and we love it. The ez-pull freezer handle has been very useful. The LED lighting is bright and there is plenty of room (you WILL use that pop up shelf to fit taller drinks like OJ, milk, or sodas on the shelf instead of the door). It cools quickly and fast and have noticed no freezer burns or other issues.
If I had to nitpick, it would be that yes, like other reviews said, the icemaking is kinda surprisingly loud. It's not obnoxious or constant or will ruin your day, but it is louder than you'd expect it. The water filtration is great, although we've noticed the water isn't that cool coming out of the fridge as we've experienced with other fridges. Minor, but worth noting if you like very cold water but not ice in your beverages (hey, to each his own). We've also had some adjusting to the waterline. It sounds odd, but our old fridge the water hose was angled towards the front of the fridge and on this Samsung, the water shoots out angled towards the back of the fridge. It's resulted in some awkward spills. Nothing crazy, we're just used to holding our cups right at the top of the dispenser and on this you need to hold them a bit lower. Not sure if I'd design it that way, but what do I know?
Overall we're very happy for the fridge and the cost we paid for it (picked it up during a sale). Best Buy delivered and installed it quickly and without fuss. I did have to go in and adjust the height of one of the doors, as they weren't level, but that was a simple screwdriver job (the fridge is designed to just turn one screw to raise and lower a door). Like I mentioned, all my "complaints" are nitpicking. In a perfect world everything would be tailor made to me. Until then, this works out more than fine for our needs of making food cold to keep it from spoiling.

This is a pretty piece of stainless! Lots of room, although shelves on left door are near to useles because they are so shallow! Ice maker is adequate but not enough for entertaining! Lots of storage. Freezer is an adjustment (we are used to side by side unit) but works well! Lots of space! Overall happy with product. The water dispenser does finish slow and can tend to shoot after it should -leaving leakage.

The worst refrigeration I have ever owned or used.

To say that I "hate" this fridge is an understatement, there isn't a word to describe my disdain. I am writing this review after taking a metal spatula to bash the huge ice chunk build up that forms at the bottom floor of the fridge below the freezer for the umpteenth time. I have to awkwardly reach my hand in and hack the ice up, coax it out, then sweep it all up with a dust pan and dump it in the sink. I do this about once a week. I believe what happens is that if someone (or most of the time, probably a kid) opens it and doesn't close it quite all the way, air gets in, and there's enough to drip ice down to the bottom which builds up a thick layer of ice. There is nothing in the way of an alarm or bell that indicates it might be slightly cracked open. This also leaves a heavy frost on all of the drawer parts, and comprises the food in the freezer. This is the worst part, but that's not the end of it.
The ice maker is LOUD. It drops the ice into the ice bin once it's been made, often in the middle of the night, and makes quite a large sound, which is particularly off putting at first.
The door shelves have plastic sides to hold in jars and what not. almost all of them have cracked or downright broken. I have two of them duct taped together. I talked to Samsung when this first happened under warranty, and they said they don't cover such things.
The meet/cheese drawer below the two crisper drawers seems like a good idea, but you can't open it without both doors being open, not convenient whatsoever. Also, the drawer often gets off track which doesn't allow you to close it all of the way. The lid to ours completely broke off and now we just leave it off because there was no way to fix it (the hinges busted).
Last but not least the two crisper drawers also jam regularly.
Samsung called me about renewing my warranty after a year or whatever it was. I said "if I renew, can you fix all of the broken parts in the fridge - the shelves, the drawer lid, etc" and she said "no, our warranty only covers the mechanical parts." I told her no thank you, and that I would never buy a Samsung product again. That's a promise.
The only thing this fridge does well is keep food cold in the refrigerator. It's not just me, my wife hates it too. It wasn't cheap, so we can't exactly just get rid of it and waste the money. Please please please do not purchase this fridge. Trust me.

Spacious enough for a family

I have had this refrigerator for 3 months after upgrading from a Kenmore for 17 yrs and it broke down. It works great and has sufficient space for a family of four. We like fresh food and are light users of the refrigerator except for food we stock and dinner for up to 2 days.
We were skeptical of the design with the freezer drawer on the bottom. but now we like the separation between the main section which is used often and the freezer which we use less.
Ice and water cooling is good. The foldable shelf design is convenient for tall items.
The food does remain fresh so I believe all the marketing gimmicky 'twin cooling' ' cool select'.
The alarm goes off if the door remains open - which is a great feature as it trained us well. Maintenance seems to be much easier than the 17yr old Kenmore model that I had.
Few odd things
The shelves in the left door are very narrow if you buy this thru-the-door ice and water model.
The cold water tap through the door is oddly designed and unless you hold normal sized bottles or cups really close to the tap, you will end up spilling. The filter is oddly placed but out of the way.
This is a good sized refrigerator so make sure you check the dimensions of the area where you place it.
It does not have too many fancy features like Internet connectivity, but good balance between the high end models and the economical ones.

This is our 2nd Samsung fridge first one broke after a year and a half so Samsung gave us a full refund so we took a chance on the newer model
Added lighting and more storage space is a plus.
This newer model is very quiet and has tons of space. Very nice fridge so far.

I looked at no less than 32 refrigerators before purchasing this one and of course I looked at every store in NH and Mass that offered it and could not believe how much lower the price was (not to mention the price match not necessary of course) and the floor models at the "hardware chain stores" the employees didn't seem to know anything more than it has water and ice in the door and it keeps food cold. The shelves are adjustable and I'm still learning how to put certain items on which shelf or door. Freezer has a 2nd shelf drawer which makes it easy for items you tend to use ofter and plenty of space for the standard family.....party's might be a bit of a challenge but they were already so no change there. Stainless steel is a bit of a challenge to keep clean but it encourages my family to think before grabbing a handle and this may help in other area's of the house. The water and ice have quickly become our family favorite and although you can hear the ice the noise level is very quiet and I almost never know it's on.

We bought this fridge about 2 months ago and although we are happy with it, it is a bit louder than I would expect from a new fridge. Nothing terrible but more than I would expect. On the plus side, it is HUGE inside. We can fit double what our old fridge would hold and it is the same external dimensions.

This fridge is quite, spacious, and a great talking piece with your friends. Let's start with that fact that when the compressor kicks in you can't even hear it or when it's making ice not a peep! The space on the inside it amazing it fits even the largest of trays or platters. And the freeze can pack all your gravitate frozen treats and let you store those bulk buy items with room to spare. Even tho I've never run out of ice kind of wish there was a quick ice feature.

This refrigerator has a lot of space which is great. My only qualms about this refrigerator is that the ice machine doesn’t work as well as my other LG side by side. It seems to dispense ice slowly and I have ran out several times. I think that is good and bad for the fact that the ice won’t be stale or caught at the bottom of the bin. The second part that I did not consider when buying a French door is that you cannot dispense ice or water while having the other door open. Seems like a petty complaint but it became more and more noticed when trying to fill cups while a family member goes to dig through the fridge. The worry with a bottom freezer seems to be that things become lost at the bottom similar to the chest freezer I have. The shelf helps but if it’s at the bottom it does take a little effort getting to it; it then becomes a Tetris game of trying to get everything to fit again. Overall okay just those 3 things.

It looks great and there is plenty of room in this fridge! 2 negatives I can find that are prohibit just normal with this style fridge: 1- When the ice maker makes ice you can here it drop from another room. It's loud! They should have insulated it better to resolve that issue. 2- You can't use water/ice dispenser if the right side door is open. This is annoying for a multitasker like myself. Not a big deal though, would kill me to show down a little and patiently wait... 3- The plastics celephane wrap is still on the edges of the fridge about impossible to get off and I don't have the free time to sit and pick at it. I had it delivered by best buy and they said that was the best they could do... Otherwise it's a great fridge. I live the space, organization, and the look. Haven't had any trouble with the black stainless coating yet.

I like the storage this refrigerator has. It is great for holding canned beverages. The only real issue is that it seems to take a very long time to make new ice compared to other refrigerators I've had.

Great lighting. Excellent use of space, love the 3 door model. It is a bit noisy. It was an open box item, it was cosmetically damaged more than described - we did not see it prior to purchase/delivery as it was shipped from another store.

We are very pleased with the size and features of this refrigerator. We did not need the "Hub". It is easy to see and set the temp in refrigerator or freezer. Plenty of room for food.
Our only issue, and not that big of issue...the ice dispenser does not work too well on narrow cups, some ice will end up on the floor.

Overall we are very satisfied, but there are 3 weaknesses that I wanted to point out.
1. While there is a lot of space in the refrigerator, the shelf configuration makes it awkward at times for our family of 7.
2. The ice maker takes up a lot of space and doesn't produce much ice (it is both slow and unable to create large volumes of ice).
3. The compressor is quiet, except when it's not... Most of the time it runs quietly, but other times it is so loud that you think something is wrong with the fridge. This concerns me in the long-haul, but it has a great warranty.

We bought this Samsung black stainless steel fridge for our new home. After so much review we finally found this Samsung refrigerator.
We love the technology and it has 2 doors and freezer drawers on the bottom. It does not take much room in our kitchen. Fruits and veggies stay fresh for longer period of time. Ice maker and water dispenser both work very well. Water comes out without splashing over everywhere. The bottom freezer is so wide and you can organize all the frozen food easily. The inside lighting is perfect. Everything is clearly visible.
Overall this is excellent refrigerator and it is very quiet also
The delivery was so fast and set up quickly.

Replaced a GE that had a terminal flaw of freezing the water line for the ice in the door. The Samsung french door is a lot bigger, more flexible in how we can choose to arrange things. We don't have a lot of use for the door-in-the-door feature on a daily basis, but I could see it being handy when you have a family or social gathering and people are just grabbing beverages from the door.
It did take a little time to rethink how we placed items in the fridge, especially since your door bins are a lot different, particularly on the side with the ice/water. But I looked at pictures online and a few videos and then over the last month we've sort of figured it all out.
Were a little surprised when we realized you can't get water out of the dispenser and open the door on the other side -- but we getting used to it.
