Good sound but lacks some desirable features

This soundbar easily surpasses most built-in television speakers. Dialog is clear. Movie effects like explosions and car engines have a lot of punch. I have seen some complaints about the subwoofer being weak but that has not been my experience. The subwoofer provides low range sound that does not overwhelm the rest of the sound system, nor does it shake the walls, but it integrates into the system nicely and does the job. I also purchased the surround speakers to complement this soundbar. The surround sound is immersive when configured correctly. While there are a lot of configuration options that allow you to tune the system for the room many options are hidden away from the main menu system behind long button presses on the remote. There is no indication as to which button needs to be held to access these features though some are documented in the manual. While you can adjust bass and treble levels in the main menu the hidden menus allow you to fine tune the EQ. Even with these additional configuration option some notable options are absent. In my room it was not possible to place the surround speakers an equal distance from the seating position. The result is that one speaker sounds louder than the other. The soundbar does not allow you to independently adjust the level for the surround speakers. The only way to do that is to add an additional amplifier or equalizer between the surround receiver and speakers. Another issue is that the system does not support PCM surround input. You have to select Dolby Digital or DTS output on the connected device or the surround sound doesn't work. This is not an issue with most devices but it is an issue with the Nintendo Switch. So far I have been unable to get the Switch to output compatible surround sound to this soundbar. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. The potential configuration options within the room and the input devices need to be considered when deciding on the right soundbar for your installation. If you want good sound, simple configuration, and you don't need PCM 5/1 or 7.1 surround then this soundbar is a good choice.

The sound bar was easy enough to put together. No problems there, The remote is a little funky to try to figure out. I am surprised by how well 3.1 channel mimics surround in a small room. Be careful though, this sound bar can be really loud when you first turn it on. Be wary of that.

I wasn'tsure about 4K until I bought the samsung 43" 4K. I added a sound bar and rear speakersp w/bluetooth sub. The combo is superb. Though the tv has pretty good sound on its own, the sound bar set gives the tv more depth. This may be the best purchase I've made in a long time.

Omg I’ve been living my whole life without a sound bar...what a difference it makes! I can hear my shows and movies sooo much better now. And the Bluetooth option is great too. I didn’t know that was a thing until I was playing around with the source options.

I had a 2.1 channel Samsung sound bar prior to this and thought the sound was great. After getting the 3.1 channel, I was inpressed by how much better it could sound! Treble is clear with enough bass to shake the room if I choose. Worth the upgrade!

Works BEAUTIFULLY with my Qld8 TV. Leaky plug and play! Bass is adequate, volume is great, and voice clarity is excellent! The price was the kicker, though - I NEVER thought it was possible to get the overall quality of sound for $400! Highly recommended!!

I went in store to purchase this and received some great knowledge from the employees. I ended up spending the extra money because this soundbar has 3 channels. I wanted something that dedicated not only to background noise but voice as well. The woofer is amazing. It shakes my floor on only +2. I can pair it with my phone, with Alexa, or anything Bluetooth. If you want a sound system at an affordable price that makes your movies or music sound great then this is the soundbar for you.

Wonderful sound. Easy to set up. Especially with Samsung TV. Multiple inputs. Solved the problem of not being able to hear streaming movies without boosting the volume. Has Bluetooth connectivity for iPhone use. 3 in 1 speaker. Just perfect!

Got my TV on sale I figured I would upgrade my sound bar, and it was well worth it. Has great sound. Easily pairs on Bluetooth with my phone and doesn't take up much space. A purchase I am very happy with.

For the money, this meets all you will need for great sound. Setup is pretty darned easy. Bass thumps. The front pointing dedicated speaker is great to recognize speech more accurately. I would recommend this soundbar to anyone.

Wow, I bought this after I purchased my Samsung TV because I didn't realize the stock speakers would be so quiet compared to the TV your getting. Anyway, this soundbar cost as much as my TV. I was hesitant to buy it at first but considering its very sleek and is beyond impressive with its sound, I know I made the right choice. For quality, sometimes you need to pay but its well worth it. The sound quality is great, the bluetooth conductibility is great. There are minimal wires to worry about and again, it looks really nice. The bar itself if very slim and the sub isn't too big. Overall, perfect. I like it better than I do the TV. I have had it for over a year and its been nothing less than amazing quality and performance.

This is a decent soundbar if your just looking to add a little something extra too your TV experience. I thought it could be a little louder, but not bad for the price compared to higher grade soundbars.

I traded my Sony 2.1 that I purchased it cut out after 20 minutes. This sound bar is amazing. Great sound and much cheaper and 3.1 vs the 2.1 Sony had. I have a Sony tv, but this Samsung sound bar is worth it.

The soundbar is a must for better quality audio compared to the factory Samsung TV speakers. You will get a much clearer sound and greater bass. Initially thought that the soundbar wasn't loud enough but after switching back and forth between sources (TV speakers & the soundbar), I quickly noticed that even though it is not as loud as one would think, it is much clearer and vocals and action scenes really jump out at you. I will be purchasing the wireless surrounding speakers to further enhance the performance. There is an existing bundle for the complete set (sound bar and surround speakers) that I'd have definitely taken advantage of had I known the quality matches the price.
