Soundbar / subwoofer are great for the money

The remote control is horrible. I had issues opening it to put batteries in once I got batteries in, I literally have to stand next to it to get the remote to work. These are new Duracell batteries.

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the remote.
Please know that it has come to our attention that some customers are positioning the soundbar incorrectly, resulting in the remote not working properly, the display being covered, and poor sound quality. The soundbar should be placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on Samsung.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when you sit), the remote sensor will be covered and the remote will not work well, the display will be face-down, and sound quality will be muffled.

The sound bar volume control is very flat. You have to turn it way up to like 80 to get any volume out of it. It also is a pain because you have to press the remote button many times to make any difference in the sound volume. I don’t recommend to buy this one.
