    Went from an older wired BOSE DVD WITH TWO SPEAKERS AND A SUB to this and the old BOSE is still better.

    If your a bass lover this isn’t the one for you. JBL soundbar is better for bass.

      Please know that the HW-R650 features Smart Sound Mode to automatically analyze your content and optimize sound settings for the best audio delivery. You can also select from STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, and GAME effects by pressing the SOUND MODE button on the soundbar remote.

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

      Also, please double check that you have positioned the soundbar correctly. It has come to our attention that customers may be positioning the soundbar incorrectly, resulting in poor sound quality. The soundbar should be placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the Soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when you sit), you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

    Wireless subwoofer is a joke

    Hooked this system up and watched a movie the first night without any problems. Go to watch tv the next week and the sub has red lighted. Tried everything to get it to reconnect and no success. Light just continues to flash blue. I'm not at all happy about it.

      Before trying to reconnect either automatically or manually, there are a few things to check:
      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
      3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
      4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.

      You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.

      You can also press the Sound Control button on the remote (looks like a gear) to adjust TREBLE and BASS.

      Press and hold the Sound Control button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each of seven frequency bands.

      Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.
