The sub woofer sound level is low, after of hours of adjusting I realized that I have to have the volume up to high to enjoy the show I am trying to watch to get any reasonable sound level from the sub. Other than that everything else is great. Sound quality is good, not great but worth the price I paid

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung HW-M550 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its low volume.
Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.
1. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
2. Check the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
3. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar using the Soundbar’s remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
4. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
We also recommend users update the software to the latest version, so that the unit would keep up with improvements and compatibility enhancements. The software updates can be performed via the Multiroom App on your mobile device, or via manual download from Samsung.com/support

We had Best Buy do the hookup, and I'm very pleased with it. The only issue is that while it can be turned on with the TV remote, it does not shut off with that remote, and will sometimes get out of sync with the sound and we will have to restart it with its own remote to override the built in speaker. Best Buy technicians were not able to correct this issue.
