I purchased during BF week and IMO got a good deal on it. Very basic, “run of the mill” setup, bass is so-so, sound bar isn’t terribly loud but works fine on my mantle. I wouldn’t be near as satisfied if i had paid full price.

I wanted a brand to match my TV and I caught this on sale at a price I couldn’t walk away from. From the ease of hook up to deep bass that the subwoofer provides. This was a great starter unit for me.

I've had my hearing tested thank you, and I still have this problem. Thanks to this sound bar, I can enjoy movies again

The sound quality is great but it has virtually no bass even with the sub all the way up. Surround is ok but not the greatest. My polk mini I got for the same price is much better.

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung HW-N550 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its low volume.
Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.
1. Check the source volume. For example, if connected to a mobile phone using Bluetooth, increase the volume on the mobile phone.
2. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
3. Then check the TV for the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
4. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar by using the Soundbar’s remote. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
5. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

Great sound - TV remote will turn on soundbar

The 3.1 soundbar here will come on along with the TV using the TV control. I have the 2.1 soundbar that will not work with TV remote and my Samsung. wished I would have gotten this for my TV. Darn kids get all the good stuff.......... :)

This sound bar helps to eliminate that distraction and makes the voices more understandable, while at the same time helping the sound of the movie feel like a movie theater experience.

Perfect addition to the big flat screen. Especially with the ridiculous speakers the new TVs come with. You almost have to by a sound bar these days just to make out standard movie dialogue. That being said - great buy !

I had never owned a sound bar before this one, but this was definitely worth the price. If you are looking for a good quality soundbar with good deep bass, for an affordable price this is the one!

There a was point where it didn’t sound that good. but had to move some setting on my TV (Samsung) on the “speaker list” to change from TV speaker, to the audio out/ optical . & then it sounded way better

This model was easy to connect to the TV, is loud and clear. The subwoofer is working just fine on the other side of the room. And the Samsung remote is not needed has the TV (or cable) remote works the volume.

Any samsung soundbar priced over $300 regular price but purchased on sale is always a steal. Highly recommend any samsung sound bars priced over $300-350. I have 2 different ones and have been very satisfied.

The best part is that when you select the outside speaker within the Samsung TV menu, your TV remote will work the sound on the sound bar! Only one remote to keep up with! We love it.
