Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.
1. Check the source volume. For example, if connected to a mobile phone using Bluetooth, increase the volume on the mobile phone.
2. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
3. Then check the TV for the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
4. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar by using the Soundbar’s remote. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
5. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

Sub-Woofer Drops out

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these along with the rear speakers and fortunately only one opened one. From the beginning it has had intermittent drop-out of the sub-woofer. I have looked online and this is a known problem. I have tried to update the firmware, moved objects in the room, etc. Nothing has worked. The only thing I can find online is that other wireless devices affect this unit, but I can not see a pattern with anything else in my house. I have many other soundbars in multiple locations and never have had any problem. I have only returned the unopened one, but I am way past the return window for the opened one. There are far too many better and less expensive units than one, so look around...

My tv speaker sounds better

Look At Bose Or Another Brand

I purchased a new television to replace a still working Samsung 3D television. What I found was the sound coming from my old 3D television alone, was just as good as the sound from the sound bar.

Not as expected

The sound quality is better on just the TV unless you are going to high volumes. The TV picture quit working after 6 months. I think I am done with Samsung products!

Don't waste your money

I used the HDMI connection since there's a lot of negative chatter on the fiber cable and Verizon isn't friendly either. The bad: (1) Sub woofer can only be heard with your ear pressed against the speaker not matter what setting you use; (2) The itself has very little treble; (3) You can't identify the firmware version. I saw a July update but you need a USB female to micro USB male. Who has this laying around?
