We purchased this washer and the matching dryer new about 4 months ago and have not had any problems with it until now. Coming from a similar Frigidaire set, this unit takes a little longer to wash but gets the close probably a little cleaner, no issues with performance. Unfortunately, when we went to wipe down the washer, the black lettering on the control panel started smearing and wiping right off. This was using just an old t shirt and water, no harsh chemicals or cleaners. No spilled detergent either; even the matching dryer has the problem. You cannot touch the lettering with your finger without it smearing right off. Seeing as this makes the equipment kinda difficult to use.... we called 1800SAMSUNG expecting that this would be covered under warranty. Not the case! Initially we were told this is cosmetic "damage", then after going around for a while, we were finally told Samsung is aware that "some" units have this issue but we should just "refer to the diagram in the owners manual" when using the machines. Doing some internet searching after the fact, I've learned this is not an uncommon problem; we wish we would have researched more before spending $$$$ on this set. Bottom line, if you do not have problems, then this washer works great, but if you are unfortunately enough to encounter a problem, don't count on Samsung to stand behind their product. We did not buy the set from Best Buy but are hopeful the retailer we did get it from will go to bat for us. Regardless, buyer beware on this one.

The washer is so quiet, it is hard to tell it is on. It uses so little water that we something was wrong with ours. When we realized that this was normal, we worried about the quality of the wash. All of our worries were alleviated when we saw the consistent quality of the wash job. The clothes come out cleaner, brighter and smell wonderful. While the machine does take longer (about 15-20 min) than the old drench and slosh washer we had, the results are far superior.

Samsung washing machine is excellent, economical, easy to use, quiet, gets clothes really clean.

I was very worried because I read about the smell that could accompany this washer, and we did experience it, but the moment you run the self-cleaning cycle it goes away and works like new! Our household has really enjoyed the experience of having this new washer (and dryer set)! We had no idea how clean clothes could be (our old washer apparently did not do this well) and we love the song at the end!

Great washer for the price-got it on sale-great sale price. I looked around and did a lot of research before I purchased this washer. I also purchased the warranty. (just in case). Does not vibrate my house. Love the quietness, water & energy efficiency. I love this washer.

The machine is great for the price - it's nice and quiet and the clothes come out much nicer than in the comparable LG machine. The front gasket does smell, however, even though I clean it and keep the door open to dry after each wash. To combat this, I use vinegar in the bleach cup when I wash towels and that helps a lot!

This is my third front loading washer, and it is by far superior to the two other brands I previously owned. It is easy to operate and the steam and sanitize cycles are great for me as I must sanitize my towels and sheets because I have no immune system due to having leukemia.

This washing machine is a great value for the money! It is so quiet and gets clothes very clean. The only negative is that the door needs to stay open to dry out to avoid mildew, but I have heard that from others who have different brands/styles of front loaders.

This is the first Samsung front load washer I've ever owned. It is replacing a Kenmore front loader. In comparison, the samsung is much quieter running, it has a larger tub,and the door opens from the right, which is much more user friendly than the Kenmore.

I am a fan of Samsung products, quality and value are thier hallmarks. No learning curve with the operations, very intuitive.

Absolutely in love with this washer. It is my first front loader and I have no complaints. Very quite while washing. I work in a hospital and always stain my clothes so far everything has come out without compromising colors. Very pleased.

I love how clean and rung out the clothes come out at end of wash. Compared to a top washer the clothes seem very much cleaner. Loving it so far. I've only owned it for a month or so now. Haven't washed a comforter yet. I still take big items to laundry mat. I have washed all cotton summer blankets and they come out great! As for shaking, I live in a trailer so the floor has a floating hardwood floor so it needs more stability. But otherwise i'd say it would be smooth as pie.

Great product. Steam function works great. Very quiet when running. Saves energy and water. Simply need to read manual to turn off end cycle symphony. ;)

Love this product. Fits a large load. Uses way less water than my old washer. It is a little louder and vibrates more than expected but its not bad.

I have only had this washer for a couple of weeks, so I am still getting used to it. Appears to do a good job of cleaning the clothes but I have not washed anything that was really soiled yet!. Takes longer to wash then the old ones but spins the water out so well that it takes less time to dry them (even the heavy towels and queen 100% cotton sheets) . Still have not been able to open the water hose to get to the filter. Manual does not have a good example of how that should look when it is opened. The machine is very heavy, so I do not know how I am going to pull it out to clean under it. Overall, I am pleased (so far) with the machine.

Great washer has a great load capacity holds a queen size comforter no problem, cleans great very glad I purchased this

the washer is awesome except when its in its last cycle it shakes the house. we had best buy install and i watched him put a level on it. after a couple of loads its moved in our laundry room. I am going to call geek squad to come out since everyone talk about how quiet theirs are. Im thinking its going to be a easy fix.

We love our new washer! Our clothes are so much cleaner, fresher and softer. It spins so fast the clothes are nearly dry before putting them in the dryer! I would definitely buy this washer and the paired dryer again. Both are great quality products for a great price!
