We purchased this washer a couple months ago as a replacement for one of its dead competitors. It is a great machine. It has a generous capacity, does a great job washing and spinning out the clothes. it is quiet and play a little tune when finished. We give it the full 5 stars! Best Buy had a terrific buy on it and the delivery and set up went smooth.....

    Outstanding!

Very quiet, we checked several times to make sure that it was working because we couldn't hear it like our old one. It cleans very good and spins so much water out of the clothes that they dry much faster in the dryer. There are 2 things to take note of: 1. remove the large packing bolts that hold the power cord on the back of the machine or the machine will vibate badly enough to move it across the room. 2. Samsung recommends "High Efficiency" detergent only for this machine.

Purchased this washer to replace a Maytag top loader that crapped out after just a few years. Although we haven't had this washer for long, all of the clothes come out spotless and smelling very fresh. As far as bad reviews on these type of washers you need to leave the door open after use. I have seen some reviewers say that there is a moldy mildewy smell and it's because the gasket needs to be air tight/water tight as so it doesn't leak during use. Only drawback is prepare to spend more money on the detergent itself as it needs to be rated HE (High efficiency) for low suds. Washer is very energy efficient though so it basically takes care of itself in cost in the long run.. Would recommend this washer in particular to anyone in the market for one.

    Great Machine

This is a very good machine thus far. Have not had any problems at all. Just keep the door open so the seal does not smell moldy. But you will have that problem with any front loader. There are a lot of different settings that I have used and they all make the materials clean while creating less wear and tear on them. The only thing I do not like is that we have our unit on the second floor and you can hear the water turn on and off. But again I think you will hear that with any unit. When it is spinning I can't hear it at all. Samsungs are known for being quite and they are!

Performs great, even on second floor

We have a second floor laundry room, so naturally, I was hesitant to put a front loader upstairs. We haven't heard any vibration from this unit, whereas with our old toploader, the entire living room wall of windows was shaking during the spin cycle. My clothes have come out so clean and fresh, and you hardly need any detergent. The controls and options are wonderful, and although we haven't received our water bill yet, I can tell from watching the wash cycle that the usage has gone down significantly. On a side note, you do need to make sure you leave the door open until the drum is dry to avoid any odors or mildew, but maintaining a quality product is much easier than repair a low quality one.

    Amazing, only one minor flaw

After having an LG front loader that I purchased in late 2007 I was nervous to ever buy a front loader again. That washer shook like crazy even on the low spin...plus it smelled horrible even after running bleach in it. So after a couple suggestions to a purchase a Samsung I took the plunge with a company that is not well known for wash machines. Let me tell you this thing doesn't shake one bit! I can finally put the spin on medium, dare I put it on high? It still doesn't shake. After two months of heavy use ( I have a little baby) it doesn't stink! I like that it recalls the last setting you used so you don't have to set everything manually everytime. Wow was that LG machine garbage now that I think of it. I would recommend you purchase this unit if you are looking at a front loader. Only minor flaw I've found is that the wash filter is inset at the bottom and as the water flows out it leaks in the weep hole that is to the back of the inset. You have to wedge a towl pretty far back to ensure the water doesn't sit stagnent under the machine. One last thing that is more preference than anything. I would like to see a cool blue LED display instead of an aggressive red.

    30 Day Review

I have only had this washer one month now. So I cannot give a real opinion of its quality. I relied on Consumer Reports for this information. But the machine seems pretty solid and tight. It cleans very well. One thing I had not thought of before. You cannot open and toss in a sock you dropped once it starts. Front loaders lock the door for obvious reasons. This machine is also very quiet. My laundry room is just off the living room and if it were not for the sound of water churning, I would forget it is running. LOL... A couple of times I did forget and searched for water in the house. I have always had Maytag washers before this. But when I started researching on what was out there for the money I was willing to spend, this seemed to be the best choice and so far seems like the right choice.

Great at what it is supposed to do, wash clothes. Also saves a lot of money on water, less electricity, and a lot less detergent and fabric softener at better results than our old top loader. Extremely quiet as well.

I purchased this washer on Thursday 9/2/2010, had it installed 9/3. Today I went to BB, they had the washer on sale $80.00 cheaper, naturally they credited the difference. Walking through the appliance department, I told a Salesman how impressed I was, my clothes are cleaner than my top-loader washed them. He told me when the loads have finished, use a dry rag & wipe the rubber, around the inside. Then dry the inside of the glass door. He said if the rubber isn't dried the warranty will be voided. The man told me to then hang the rag @ the top of the inside of the door, it will help to keep the door open.

Old washer didn't last three years. This machine is easy to operate even for a man, quite, and you know just how long it will be till the load is done. The selection panel is very easy to operate and covers any mode you might want. It even washes my tennis shoes to a nice new white and the maching dryer has a rack to dry them on, I great duo.

Very easy to use, quiet ,efficient & cleans everything from delicates to comforters with ease. Do dry interior of unit & soap dispenser with towel after use to prevent damp, "musty" smell. Highly recommend this product to all.

I bought this washer last Christmas. It has a great performance and the design is also good. It's quiet and easy to operate. I also tested the 'wool' mode with my sweaters and skirts and the job was perfectly done! The 'bedding mode' too! I'm very pleased with this washer and highly recommending! It has a great value for the price!

After 2 bad Maytag Neptunes in 10 years , enough was enough. After hours of research, I decided on this washer and equivalent dryer. Boy Howdy, do they rock. Cleaner clothes, almost dry when they come out. Quiet, water and electricity efficient, you can spend twice the money ($1264 for both at Best Buy, awesome) I can't believe you can get twice the washer/dryer. My sister bought the $2400 LG W/D ,doesn't do any better a job on anything. Love'em !!

    Nice washer

I truly love this washer, but it takes a bit of getting used to. Unlike top loading washers, it's hard to gage how much clothes you can put in it because clothes are going into a drum sideways instead of upright. The size of the drum is actually larger than my last top load. I usually go by a laundry basket full. Also, if you have heavy stains the prewash adds about an hour to the cycle, but it definitely gets clothes cleaner than the normal cycle. It is definitely energy efficient. I have already seen a decrease in both my water and electric bill!

    The Truth

I've had this washer for a few days and it works like a charm. Cleans clothes extremely well, is loaded with features and does not vibrate. I would also like to add that JudgementNite is bogus. I've done tons of research on front loaders and I've seen his/her EXACT (i.e., verbatim) negative review on other sites about other Samsung washers. This person obviously has something against Samsung and should not be trusted to give a credible review. As another reviewer pointed out, this washer has only been on the market for about a month. JudgementNite is clearly projecting!

    Changed my life

This sounds kind of silly, but this washer and the matching dryer have changed my life! I have 4 young children and a husband and I was doing 2-3 or maybe more loads per day in our old, much too small capacity washer and dryer. I felt my whole day revolved around washing, drying and putting away laundry. Now, I do one load per day - that's it! This washer/dryer is huge and does an excellent job of washing the clothes and spinning out a lot of the water. It is so unbelievable quiet, I was sad it didn't fit in our old laundry closet on the first floor.

I am happy with my purchace

I purchaced this set back in November, and have no regrets. The biggest savings has been in detergent, fabric softener and bleach. I was purchacing a 96 load bottle of detergent every two weeks with our old top loader. Now that size bottle lasts about 6-8 weeks, with similar results with softener and bleach. After reading many different front loader customer reviews, i always wipe down the rubber seal and door after the final load...then leave the door open for awhile. No issue with any moldy smell to this point. Bottom line: It does very large loads, needs very little detergent, softener, bleach, and does a great job cleaning.

Washer + Dryer = Lots of extra time

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

While it does take longer to wash, the spin cycle of this machine is nothing less than amazing. I can now do my drying in less than half the time it took on my old machines. Having bought this washer along with the matching DV330 Gas dryer, I find my clothes cleaner and my options are endless. With settings like Sanitize, Bedding, etc. this unit really fits the bill. I never thought I would write a review about something as simple as a washing machine but this unit leaves me amazed. Just remember to keep a wash cloth above the machine to wipe the seal. Also, keep the door ajar to avoid any mildew/odor.

I bought this a couple weeks ago AND have questions! I really like the features, no vibration technology (which seems to work well!), quietness, and ease of use. Like everyone says the cycles are lengthy, but I've been told this is the case with most all front loaders.....not a huge deal, just something to be aware of if you use a clothes line outside....you might want to get up extra early! So, here are the issues that don't seem so good with my particular machine. I'm still wondering if it's functioning normal, OR if there could be something wrong with it? If anyone knows, PLEASE let me know, as the girl at Samsung seemed as if she was simply a phone operator and actually KNEW very little about it.....just generic stuff. I too can read from the owners manual lol! Here's what it does......I have noticed what appears to be a sufficient amount (not a ton) of water though when doing a VERY small, delicate cycle. You could actually see a little water in the bottom, and clothes got wet within a few minutes of washing! BUT upon doing normal or larger loads it takes quites some time for the clothes to even become wet on the outside...still DRY on the inside for a very long time into washing....well after detergent has been taken, sometimes still partially dry while entering the rinse cycle, and I NEVER see suds!! No, it is not overloaded. i make very sure of that. in fact, you could easily add more clothes. Small stains of blood and mudd didn't come out, but did fade. My old top loader could've removed these after pretreating, as I did. I was very surprised at this. One garment was even washed in a hot, bleach load! Speaking of the bleach....here's another question. My bleach compartment stays full of water so when I want to add bleach there is no room for it. I have to remove tray and dump the water first, OR remove water with a turkey baster first....yes, I'm laughing again, although not laughing when I have to do it! it's the strangest darn thing. Again, Samsung lady knew nothing about that. Upon washing a king sized comforter (which I was told would fit "easily" in this machine, it was a tight fit! Didn't seem to be sufficient water, and at the end of what turned out to be a 3 hour cycle, parts of the comforter were still dry, BUT I'd say it was 95 % damp when I took it out to dry on the clothes line. Small blood stains were not removed or even faded a little. BUT clothes do smell fresher at least. Anything that isn't stained appears clean, but they don't look all that dirty to begin with, so just about any washer should be able to do the trick! I'd really like to keep this washer, as Samsung is one of the most highly recommended, but am very concerned that mine isn't functioning like the rest of the people's who have posted here???? Does anyone else have any of these same issues by chance, or have any insight? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback :) I will put that I would recommend this to a friend, BUT am not certain of that at this point (am hoping mine isn't functioning normally!)
