If the temperature control dials worked this would be a 6 star rating. Sadly this could probably be fixed with a software update and not even require reengineering. Samsung as usual makes something great and drops the ball on the pull through

I enjoy the induction cooking. However, the wi-fi only allows you to see and not control. Setting the timer doesn’t turn off whatever is cooking.

Nice induction cooktop, but you control the power to the top with a circular motion with your finger, or some magnetic dial that is just as worthless. Very hard to select the exact power you want - not as sensitive as selecting a temperature from your phone or some other app. There is an app for the top - but it seems to be useless - merely tells you the power and gives you a timer. I would recommend buying one without all the fancy controls.

While the finish. Every burner has a Power boost boost. I guess the little magnetic dial that they give you Can be used on your refrigerator to hold up pictures. I already knew that was junk

    Excessive power consumption

I recently installed the 30 inch Samsung induction cooktop. After about a month, I noticed that my electric bill went up about 50.00 and also for the next month. I called the electric company and another electrician and they both came to my house to check it out. They put a consumption meter on my electrical panel and went through every circuit to determine which circuit was causing the excess current draw on my system. The final conclusion was the Samsung induction cooktop was using 700 amps of electricity when everything was off. When they turned the breaker off for the cooktop everything went back to normal and when they turned it back on, the 700 amp spike came back. 700 amps per hour multiplied by 24 hr is 16,800 amps per day. 16,800 amps per day multiplied by 30 days is 504,000 amps per month. Each kilowatt hour is equal to 1000 amps, so my consumption is 504 kilowatt hours per month just to keep the cooktop powered on with out using any of the burners. Each kilowatt hour cost .09 cents each and multiplied by 504 equals $45.36 per month just to keep power to the cooktop. I called Samsung to get their response and this is what they said: If everything on the stove works as it should, then it is not their problem and I will just have to live with the 45.36 per month or turn the breaker off and only turn it on when we want to use the cooktop.

This stovetop is great. We had the Samsung induction range at our last house and knew it was just a matter of time before we went back for the cooktop version. Very happy with the purchase.

I don't normally write reviews but I have to voice out my frustration, disgust and complete lack of confidence from Samsung. I paid more than $2,000 for this supposedly amazing appliance but after 2 years only it stopped working. The repair service guy said that I have to pay about $1000 to fix it. 2 years lifespan for an expensive induction cooktop is a big scam. I will never buy a samsung appliance again...

I am a huge fan. Love the control. You get the heat control of gas (which is what all chefs prefer) with the cleanup and convenience of a radiant/electric. Win/win! One of the coolest things about this is the magnetic/removable control dial. (which is it's one ding, too) Once the dial is removed, you cannot control the temp, but can still turn it on. No issue with that, but the temp control with the magnetic dial is a little touchy and hit or miss. Might want to increase the temp from 6 to 7 and then it jumps to 12. Needs more work to get it right and more accurate. I wish I could give it 4.9 stars for the controller, but it is better than a 4, so a 5 it is.

I never thought I wanted an induction stove but now I wouldn’t trade it. It heats up and cools down so quick which reminds me of the benefits of cooking with gas but none of the downfalls.

After using this induction for several months, I finally realized that the induction cooktop had been broken from the time of the installation. I really like the flexibility of the cook zones, just wish that I could actually cook something on the cooktop.

Bought it, got it installed 2 days ago. Used it this morning for the first time and when I cleaned it as I would with our previous induction cooktop, it errored because it got wet, and now it won't stop beeping and telling me to use the power button that doesn't work. Only way to reset it is to turn the breaker off and on again. Exchanged.

Heat settings were very eractic. When you did achieve the setting and think things were ok you could walk away thinking it was ok and when you would go back the cooktop had turned itself off. Samsaug sent someone three time to change parts but the problem was still present. So we decided to switch to a gas cooktop and it woks great. Best Buy made the situation much better. And the cooktop is beautiful. Thanks Best Buy for you great customer service.

Do not purchase! We bought this stovetop, had it put it, and it would not work! They came back and replaced the control board and wiring and it still did not work. We got a bad stovetop. Instead of having them replace this one, we went with a different brand.
