pro's: picture quality, lightweight, 1 person to mount neutral: set up, sound/volume cons: (price), remote(s), difficult connecting to computer-wired or wireless researched tv's and after having a larger LG Q series in my living room, it always came down to this tv. easy to set up and mount. picture is incredible. the TV set up itself isn't hard, but I still find myself going to the smart things app on my phone, the remote as well as my cable box remote-theres not a lot on the remote (more "buttons" on phone but not a huge fan of using my phone as the remote. sound is good but I have found a huge discrepancy-when I play movies from external hard drive into the usb volume is generally between 10 and 20. however when I have the tv on it generally need the volume between 70 and 80. lastly I am still having problems connecting my computer with the tv, wired or wireless. actually it connects up but only shows a very small number of my movies and without a preview picture. however the same movies copied to an external hard drive and connected with usb the all come in fine and have a preview picture of the movie AND I also have the option to sort them by name or date (when I try to pull up from my computer there is not that option even given. had 2 chats already but not resolved. overall, and as I get more used to Samsung and manage it better, if you are looking for a smaller tv and maintaining an incredible picture, you can't beat it!

Best 32" TV Available - Beautiful 4k Picture

I purchased this TV to put in my home office since I work from home full time. I use it to watch and stream shows/movies (I like hearing noise while I work) and the occasional gaming. If you want a 32" tv with great picture quality, this is by far the best one out there. The 4k picture looks fantastic once you make some adjustments. When it comes to 32" tvs, most companies do not put much effort into them because they are usually cheap and not as popular as large size tvs. I had a 32" TCL 1080P tv and this Samsung tv blows it away. The colors, detail, and sharpness just look really good. I have a Nvidia Shield TV Pro so I don't use the built in "smart" tv functions much but from what I can tell, it works reasonably well. Samsung TV Plus is a free feature in it that I do appreciate. Apple TV is not on the Shield but is on the TV so I have used that and it has worked well. A couple other thoughts: - Airplay 2 works well. Very nice to have built in. - I had issues getting HDR to work on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro. Make sure to go to the Input Signal Plus setting and that your HDMI inputs are selected. If that doesn't work, you may need to change out your HDMI cable. HDR started working once I replaced mine. - Continuing on with HDR, I would not get this TV for the HDR. It is nice to have but not the best implementation. - If you look for calibration settings online, one of the most common sites for calibrations will tell you to set it to movie mode. I think movie mode probably works well if you are in a dark room. It did not look good for me in a room that is normally lit. I played around with the different modes and I found standard to work the best for me. I also suggest turning off Auto Motion Plus Settings. I don't like the fake looking smoothness. Turn off the eco options also. - I've seen a number of questions on the site on what screws work for mounting. I bought M4-.70 20mm screws from Lowes and they worked. You can also find them at Home Depot. I will finish this review with the price. The price is a little shocking when you can buy larger 4k tvs for less and the next best competitor in the 32" TV size can usually be found on sale for about $130. If your space can handle a larger TV, like 43", I recommend getting a larger TV. You can get the 43" equivalent of this TV for $200 less than the 32". If you are like me and 32" is the largest TV you can fit into your space, then I highly recommend this TV over any other 32" TV. Yes, the price difference between this and other 32" TVs is ridiculous but if you plan on holding onto this TV for many years and you can afford it, I highly recommend this TV. Long-term, you will be happy you did. The picture quality is just that much more pleasing than any other 32" TV.

Okay, this is high priced for a 32". But for those with limited space, you can't go wrong with this model. Multiple settings to adjust your screen according to bright-lit room, daytime, movies. I can't be happier with the reception. Set up was a breeze compared to another model that I returned. I thought nothing could beat my powerhouse Sony whose firmware went ballistic, but this is a step up. The basic looking remote actually accomplishes a lot and gives me a few options for ways to switch stations or connect to an app or the home screen. There are innumerable apps for TV or movie viewing that come with the Samsung so there's really no really to be paying for cable or little-used streaming services.

I just got this but Im really impressed with it. Great picture quality, nice remote which the Vol/CH buttons surprised me, after set up baywatch started playing, cant complain about that. I love the 4k and HDR (not the brightest) picture in such a small screen. Usually you have to buy a gaming montior in this size but those are almost double the price and has features most people wont need. I just bought a second one of these TVs. I've tested it on my PS4 Pro and PC and it looks excellent. The existing screws for my wall mount are too short so keep that in mind if you want to mount it. My screws are half inch, you probably need 1 inch.

Most smaller size TV's on the market put value above quality, this one puts quality above value. Yes, this is one of the more expensive 32" TV's you will find, but the quality of the picture is also far better than the vast majority of TV's in the same size range. The quality of the image here is similar to that of what you would see in the top-of-the-line $2,000 big screens you see on display when you walk into to the sales area, the type of image we all wish we could have but most of us could never afford. Obviously this is a much smaller screen than those $2,000 TV's I refer to have, but I have an old entertainment center I got as a graduation gift before widescreen TV's were common and it can only fit a 32" widescreen. This model fits in my entertainment center perfectly, any bigger and I would not be able to fit it. I needed a smaller size TV, but I wanted a TV with a superior image quality so I would not feel the need for an upgrade anytime soon. Too many of the smaller size TV's are low quality, this is one that is not. This is a TV that feels pretty future proof. It may be a bit more expensive, but I think it is worth the extra cost as if you want a 4k HDR QLED display this one provides it, there are almost no other televisions in this size range that look as good as this one does. The vast majority of TV's 32" or under are 1080p, this is one of the few 4k's on the market and yes you are likely to spend more on a 32" 4k TV than you would spend on a 55". The reason for this is that no matter the size of the TV the number of pixels needed to achieve 4k is the same, so the smaller the tv the smaller those pixels need to be. This means that smaller TV's like this one need to make those pixels extra small to make models like this one hit 4k, but when those pixels are so tiny they make the image quality insanely good. This may not be the best TV for everyone, but for those who need a smaller size TV but don't want to sacrifice picture quality this may well be the best small TV on the market at this moment.

I have been waiting literally for years for a 32" 4K TV to hit the market -- to be used for my XBOX (now an XBOX X) as well as a desktop monitor. I had used 4k monitors in the past but was not all that impressed and they were costly when purchased. I must say that I was blown away when I hooked up the TV and booted up my XBOX. I simply set the picture type to dynamic and left all the other settings alone. That works fine with the XBOX output, the computer output, and as a bonus the streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ which I fire up when I get a bit bored with gaming. I highly recommend this item. It would probably be nice as a bedroom TV as well.

This is an excellent TV with crisp colors and it gets incredibly bright. And when it got a rare discount in November, I jumped at the opportunity to buy it. But I returned it for two reasons. First, the 60Hz refresh rate — I knew going into the purchase that it didn't have 120Hz, but what I wasn't expecting is that it didn't even have Motion 120Hz like my old 2013 32" Samsung HDTV. With Clear Motion turned on, there was significant stuttering and judder. With Clear Motion turned off, motion appeared unnatural and uneven. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get used to it. The second issue is a matter of personal preference: The set was too bright, especially when white backgrounds or objects were on screen. For some people, this will be a huge advantage, especially those who want to install this in a bright room. But my eyes are sensitive, and my room's lights are typically dim, so I couldn't watch this set more than 20 minutes at a time. I'm disappointed that I couldn't get used to those two issues, because otherwise this 32" QLED is amazing. The colors emitted from this QLED coupled with its 4K picture are breathtakingly good. Samsung's Tizen offers nearly everything you could want to stream — Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Hulu, Pluto TV, Xumo, the Apple TV app and way more — and Samsung TV Plus offers a really good selection of free TV and movie streams aggregated from Pluto TV, Xumo and other sources. The sound quality of this TV is top-notch — most won't need to bother with a separate soundbar, especially if this is a TV for a bedroom, den, dorm or garage. I often found myself playing Spotify or SiriusXM straight from the TV instead of the Bose Wave radio because the sound coming out of these two 10-watt speakers was plenty good. But I didn't buy a TV to be a radio. I bought it to be a TV. It's insanely bright, which most people will like, but I didn't. And its lack of good motion handling made watching TV and movies incredibly distracting. So, sadly, it went back. But I won't give up on Samsung. And even though this TV wasn't for me, I would absolutely recommend it to others if they can handle it's few quirks.

What is great about this tv is it has Samsung channels. So if you use the internet to watch and stream apps then this is a great addition that allows you to watch a variety of channels. There are video gaming channels, news channels, old school move & tv shows as well as music channels. Also there are movies that are free to view as well as rental of others if you're inclined to rent a movie. The tv was easy to set up and I did need help from customer service with the set up of my tv antenna. The customer service rep was able to show me what to do as I watched navagate my tv while on the phone with him. The reason overall I think this is a great buy is that yes it is an expensive tv however with all the movies and channels you get your paying for that up front versus the constant astronomical cable prices. In fact I don't have cable and I'm saving as a result because the tv is paid for and I don't have a reoccurring utility bill. Between streaming apps, my antenna and the tv channels I have a great selection of content to watch. It has things you couldn't find on cable. Lastly if you use Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu they have their own buttons on the remote. You can install other apps you use swell...worth the money.

Excellent TV for a Dark Room

This TV has great colors, a wonderfully small form factor, and includes all the perks of a premium smart TV. It is annoying that every time the TV is turned on you’re flooded with advertisements across the bottom instead of just showing your input (if using an HDMI opposes to say Netflix). My biggest problem with this TV is the overal brightness. If there is any reasonable amount of light in a room you will need to set it at 40 or 50 which is it’s max. I’m sure this will have a reasonable impact on the lifespan of the TV and for such a high price relative for size and being the only 32” 4k on the market, it’s a question of how long the TV will last. I still think it is a decent value but you might as well plug your Xbox into a 4k computer monitor with better brightness, just as crisp an image, and for less money with potentially a negligible trade off in color if any. As a standard TV or computer monitor it really depends on your budget and room lighting. For $499 or more you have a lot of other options.

This TV is great for standard def, high def, and 4K. It does not get very bright to really show off HDR, but it does have the wider color gamut and does a decent job of it for a small TV. The 'movie' screen setting was a little too dark for my environment, but the 'natural' setting worked well. The TV upscales everything to 4K. Standard def broadcasts looked very clean, HD got a boost from the additional resolution, and quality 4K source material looked very good. Same results for DVD (clean), Blu-ray (boost) , 4K UHD disc (great). HD and 4K digital looked great; Vudu's HDX really produced sharp HD pictures. You also get 168 channels of streaming TV from Samsung's TV Plus service, which is included as a bonus for any new Samsung TVs, I believe. If you've got room for a bigger 4K TV then go for it, but if you're limited to a TV with a smaller footprint, then you can still get access to all the current tech with this TV. No 3D support, but that's typical for new TVs.

Perfect Middle of the Road 4K HDR Monitor

The 32" Q50R UHD Samsung is a really nice monitor for using in my home office to play games and work. Wanted a monitor to use with PCs and game consoles and finding a 4K monitor with HDR at this size is tough. The overall size is great for desktop and office chair set up. I use multiple keyboards and mice so being able to store one set between the monitor legs when not in use is convenient. 32" is almost too big, but I'm going to move it a few inches back by mounting it to a wall eventually. Trivial gripes: Corners are a little dark and the software/documentation is not super informative. For example, the monitor says it has HDR support, but I can't find much documentation on it. I have a feeling it is behind a setting or only comes on when the signal is picked up. Not sure if I need to turn HDR on in windows, then play a game with HDR or not, so it is confusing. I'll need to plug in my PS4 Pro to double check it. I've been using multiple PCs with it and using the remote is nice for switching inputs (not used to that with PCs). I wasn't planning on using it to watch TV, but it picks up signals wirelessly, so I may do that on occasion. Also nice to finally have a built in speaker in a monitor I'm using with a PC. I usually use headphones jacked into the PC I'm using but I will likely use the TV speakers on occasion.

I needed a 32 inch TV for the guest bedroom. Getting very hard to find with the latest features. This one has it all. All the apps and screen mirroring for iPhones a bonus. Frankly for 32 inch 1080 is sufficient but I really wanted all the apps and screen mirroring. The 4K is still amazing if you’re watching a 4K movie. Now for the bad news. What a stupid non-intuitive controller. To be fair I dislike wheels and I got rid of all my Amazon fire sticks for my other TVs and got roku. I’m talking about the control ring on the controller. My other TVs are all early 2010 era. So maybe all the new Samsung‘s have this crappy controller. It takes some getting used to and then it’s acceptable.Call me old-fashioned but a good old cross/arrow design controller is for me. I also like a larger controller with fast forward and play options built-in for remote Blu-ray. The bigger the controller the easier it is to find!

I bought this TV for a small bedroom. I was lucky enough to catch it on sale for 100.00 off of the MSRP. Normally it sells for 499.00 which I think is way too much for what you get. 399.00 is more in line with the performance. What I like: Really good user interface. Excellent remote. Very little input lag. Good color. Good monitor when using with a laptop. Good gaming performance. Streaming channel selection. What could be better: Sound for the most part is ok but there are times that I fell as though a soundbar will help. While generally good, I feel that there are times that the picture quality could be better in terms of black reproduction. The good news is that you can change the color based on what you are watching. There is nothing that I dislike about this TV at all, but 499.00 is too much to pay. Anything below 399.00 is a great deal. There are not many options for a 32 inch 4K TV and this fills the bill nicely.

Great picture. As far as I know, the only 4K UHD 32-inch set made. Just because someone doesn’t want or have room for a giant screen doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t have the experience of such a great picture. Set-up was easy. The operation of the remote is a little cryptic.

Have only had it a few days but so far I like everything about it. The picture is great and the sound good as long as I have the volume set pretty high, much higher than I have used on my other Tv's. I am new to smart TVs and the last one was a lemon and I had to return. This one was twice the price but easier to use and higher quality.

Excellent 4K picture. All the expected features of a smart TV with the same settings and commands of our other Samsung sets. The included stock remote, however, seems to be the result of a designer being too clever by one-half. It’s functions are obscure and hard to understand compared to the usual Samsung remote controls. Ended up resorting to online ordering to get a remote identical to the one on our 44” Samsung to bring that same simplicity of operation to our 32” set. Would purchase again BUT would also urge Samsung to replace their funky stock remote with something easier to operate.

The resolution and color are outstanding. It is very light, making it easy to set up. Even though I was a little skeptical about the remote, I like it for the most part. The TV was easy to set up (although I couldn't use the Samsung Smart Phone App for some reason. It tried but failed the set up but was easy enough with the remote). I was worried about how well it would pair with a Sony DVD player and Direct TV but it found them both and linked to them without me having to do anything. If you need a great TV for a smaller space, this is it.

so I originally got this to use as my monitor for my pc. The picture was fantastic and its 4k with hdr on 32in screen? That's amazing and for 499 at the time of review. Beats any monitor with those specs. Sadly I returned it. Not because it wasn't a great tv. But I was coming from a 144 hz refresh monitor and at 60 hz I could notice the screen lag and also input lag. If you want to watch movies and play console games then get this TV. Its worth it. If you want this for pc maybe wait till they add 120hz refresh

I was looking for a 32" 4K smart TV to use primarily as a computer monitor doubling up as a TV for live broadcast and for streaming. You have no idea how hard to find a 32" 4K TV these days... Walking into the Magnolia store, this caught my eye. The picture quality was excellent and said I must have this one. Connecting was a breeze, it automatically optimized the resolution and picture quality. I did have to change the magnification for computer as the icons were a tad too small. I wish there was an actual on/off switch but that seems to be the norm these days. The sound quality out of the box is just OK, but excellent using external speakers or a sound bar. Overall I am very happy with this TV and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small 4K TV,
