I reviewed bluray players from Samsung For A Week Before My Purchase. Decided This Was The Best They Had To Offer As Far As Features, Functionality & Build (All Others Were Made of Plastic Housings, Looking Cheap & Honeslty Felt They Were Cheap).Out Of Box Set Up Easy Aswell as Updates for Device. Picture Quality Better Than Any Of My Other Players (All Top Of The Line Brands & Models) Netflix Streaming Is Awesome No Complaints At All....NOW TO THE MIND BOGGLING PART.....Once Setup This Device Is Connected To All My PCs,Laptop,Netbook,Tablet, Phone & Network Attached Storage. This Means With This Device I Can Watch All My Shows, Movies, Listen To Music, Surf The Web.......EVERYTHING in my home Integrated. It Leaves Me Speechless. Thank You Samsung For A Truley Unbelievable & Smart Piece of Equipment.

I'm not a tech/gadget guru, or a video/TV expert. I'm 50-something and not great with computers/wireless network setup, etc. But I was able to get this Samsung player hooked up to my TV, and the wireless network set up, etc., in about 10 minutes. I was able to stream a couple of Netflix movies right away, watch a DVD and a Blu-Ray ("Kelly's Heroes," great Clint Eastwood war movie) on the day after Christmas. I decided to spend a few dollars more on this model, instead of getting a budget player for $50 or so less, after reading all the negative reviews on the cheaper models. I don't have a 3D TV, just a cheap 32" TV, but this player works great for my limited needs and expectations.

Like the Internet-enabled features, connection options, great pictures, 3D movies. Good comms with Samsung SMART 8000 series TV

I actually bought this on another site for $114 was shocked the price difference. I was almost ready to buy from Best Buy for $169, till I found this deal. I do know they will price match per the store I had called but they would have had to order it for me so I just ordered it from the site I found it on. Samsung is always top of the line electronics and has my business. I was not too impressed with the lower models such as 5900 due to not many connections for HDMI and optical so I researched for the best deal on the 6500. I also compared other brands and kept coming back to Samsung. I would recommend this product to any novice or expert with electronics. The menus are easy for anyone and has great wi-fi connection. I like the remote although I have had the Sony one with the qwerty remote, which I like a lot also. Fast at loading Blu-Ray and very user friendly. A larger variety of apps than Sony and LG for sure. Only thing I wan to check out is using Skype which I haven't tried yet nor have seen if the app is available. BUY BUY BUY

I have used a few different smart blu-ray players and the navigation system on the Samsung is great and easy to use. The only problem I had was with all the applications you can download (like a smart phone), you could not download SKYPE. Which was one of the main reasons I wanted the box in the first place. Other than that, the player is perfect for any movie / smart TV enthusiest!

The device look pretty sleek but the cover to the USB port is ridiculous, it hangs when open. Also the device is very slow. I couldn't take it and returned it.

I bought Amazing Spider Man on 3D and it doesn't work. I thought I had a bad dvd player so I exchanged it - same thing. I then exchanged the DVD with the same result. I contacted Samsung support who told me that some DVDs don't play. There is no way to know which ones until you pop it in. They told me there is a firmware update being released to fix it in the next couple of days. It has been over a week and nothing has been released. I took this back and bought a Panasonic and it works great. I was disappointed because my TV and sound bar are both Samsung and I wanted to keep it the same but it simply doesn't work. The support rep didn't have much to say to me except for "I'm sorry." The Panasonic was $40 cheaper, has a USB slot, and SD card slot, and it plays all DVDs, including 3D. No brainer to me. I wish Samsung could have gotten this thing right because it looks beautiful...

This is a decent buy from Samsung. My only complaint is that getting around online is a bit cumbersome and slow. Netflix works GREAT, but the browser is super slow. Otherwise, it produces a great picture!

The Blu-ray player works great. Picture looks fantastic. I do have some issues with Streaming music through my network as it will occasionally drop my media server and I have to log off to find it again. I have an older router which may be the issue, so I don't want to blame the Blu-ray player just yet. All other Samsung products I have are great.

Tthis unit is half the price of the old one ,and 3-D wifi. The Dude gives it a 5 out of 5.

Very easy to use. I looked at a lot of different brands, this seem to be the best value.

Samsung put together a real stand out. The smart Hub interface is easy to use and update. The build quality of the unit is much better than most of the other name brand units.

A great buy to handle 3d movies, top notch connectivity to a Samsung 3D Plasma TV, good connectivity (HDMI, Wifi, Optical)

I purchased 2 Samsung TVs and decided to keep the Blu-Ray player in the Samsung family as well. Glad I did, as the player is as quality as the TVs.

Web Browser cannot stream TV from sites like ABC, FOX, ESPN, etc. due to compatibility issues with the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player. This is a fatal design flaw for my intended use.

A well appointed player for the price. The only thing it doesn't do is pop the popcorn. I a sure Samsung has a model that does that somewhere in their lineup...

I bought this unit as I have had and currently own several Samsung products. What drew me to the unit was the Optical out and the online features. The first time we watched a movie we had an issue with the movie pausing and not playing smoothly. Our first thought was it was the DVD so we ordered another DVD and the same thing happened. We then attempted a third Blue Ray disk from Blockbuster and several Purchased Blue Ray disk with the same issue. Because we travel and because we waited to verify it was not the disk, we were outside of Best Buys return window. We started a ticket with Samsung and had to pay to return the unit for repair. Two weeks later, I get the unit back and withing 10 minutes of starting another movie the problem repeats itself after a supposed system-board replacement. A call to Best Buy begging for a return went unheeded. "Our policy states... blah blah blah...." Now we are on the line to Samsung support pleading our case for almost 40 minutes... maybe we will get a good repair... maybe a refund or credit. As it stands right now. I can not recommend this product in the least.......

This blu ray player is quiet! Makes hardly any noise while reading and/or playing movies. Picture output is great. Good on the online stuff like Netflix and Hulu plus. Only bad part was price a bit too expensive drop it 30 bucks and it would be perfect!

I bought this with the Samsung UN46ES8000FXZA tv. The 3D is fantastic, blu-rays look great. It's a bit difficult to set up, but once you do it works great.

This is the best 3D dvd player I have owned the internet is very responsive, remote is easy to understand
