My husband and I were hoping to purchase more energy efficient appliances. We had the chance to purchase this washer for a little more than half the price, with even more Best Buy incentives at that time. We have had this washer for a little over two months now. No issues thus far. Unit is very quiet. the biggest seller for us was the fact that it uses such a little amount of water during it's wash cycles. We are on a septic system here with a high water table. It is very quiet and washes clothes noticeably better than the top loader we had. The wash cycle itself seems longer than the washer we replaced, but it seems to be at rest a lot of the time. The washer is very nice looking. We did not stack the items, nor purchase the lower drawer which is way over priced! We spent a couple of dollars on wood and built our own platform to our specs. Unit is in our unfinished basement next to the matching dryer which I've also reviewed.

    Wonderful washer

This thing is almost silent. The only noise it makes is when it pulls water from the pipes, or when it drains the water, and all that noise is mostly from the plumbing. The clothes come out very clean. The only problem is that the drain hose is short, and it is not easily replaced with a standard host from the hardware store. This makes placement very difficult when the drain is on the right side of the area, since the door opens to the left, and the door on the maching dryer opens to the right. Thus, the doors are back-to-back making it inconvenient to move the wet laundry into the dryer. Curiously, the dryer door is reversible, but the washer's door is not. The only option that leaves is getting a new drain put in. Samsung does not sell a drain hose extension, either, which would also have solved the problem.

I bought this washer 3 months ago and it is working really efficient and quiet. Energy star rating is super. I read couple negative feedback about the washer before I bought but I really don't understand why did they write those??? Most likely they have no idea about the electronics and could't use the washer properly. Design and quality are A+ really nice engineering. Results are nice to my clothes come out really clean and soft. Just ignore the negative feedbacks this machine is amazing.

I have owned this washer for 3 months have been very happy with its performance. It has many cycles and temperatures for different types of clothing and i have been very pleased with the steam feature. My clothes have never been cleaner and come from the washer almost dry, which saves energy cost. It is a top of the line washer but I bought it when it was almost 50% off. A great bargain at that price.

My wife and I were looking for a more energy efficient washer and dryer. The washer and dryer set was selling for about half the price at Best Buy. We read various reviews, checked other stores, compared other brands and prices prior to selecting this washer. The washer is very quiet, uses very little water and has multiple cycles available. Our laundry comes out cleaner and takes about 1/3 less time time to dry. Though jeans tend to take about the same amount of time to dry. The big down side of our purchase was pedestals were not included and they cost over $200 a piece. We decided not to purchase them.

The first six months this washer performed very well. In the last six months we have had 7 service calls. We are awaiting our 8th service call. The washer will not balance so it will not go through the spin cycle. Even without clothes and started on spin only cycle it wobbles and shakes. They have replaced the vibration reduction system, the main circuit board, and other electrical parts. The repair person admits the tub will not balance, and wobbles like mad, but Samsung insists it's an electrical problem and wants to keep changing electrical parts. It's very frustrating. Again, if I would have rated this in the first six months of ownership it would have been a very favorable review.

I have to say that this maching is so great, I told my wife that all I want out of our divorce are the new washer and dryer! Just kidding. However, the machines are really good. Originally, I purchased LGwm2501. The one thing I knew about these front load machines was that they were supposed to be super quiet and make your clothes super clean. Well the LG got my clothes clean but was not the quietest machine in the world. I actually thought something was wrong with it. BestBuy sent someone to check it out and though the machine kept making this sound like I threw a bunch of padded loose screws in themachine, the tech found nothing wrong. the machine is on the second floor of my home and i could hear it from down stairs and or while taking a shower. I sent it back and got this Samsung. Man, what a difference. My clothes smell great and the machine is all but silent during every cycle. The only thing I hear is when the water is coming into the machine through the hose. I now do all of the laundry. The only draw back is that after each wash, there is about two ounces of water left in the seal. I just use a towel and dry it out and leave the door open for a while. Hey, just like in the comercial, you can place a glass of water on top of the machine and it hardly vibrates. The LG I had vibrated quite a bit and would have shook the glass of water right onto the floor. You can not go wrong with this machine. I will have done them no justice if I did not mention the sales reps at the Two Notch store in Columbia were a great bunch of experts who really know their stuff.

My boyfriend and I researched for almost 6 months the different kinds of washer/dryers, kinds, how they work, reviews, ratings, what features were available and prices. We watched for sales and went looking at them. We found these two for 1/2 price in november and had it narrowed down to this set and another. We wanted Samsung because it's a sound brand, and people that we know that have them love them and had had no problems. We were a little concerned about the 'mold' issue because the water sits at the base of the door but if you leave the door open a little after a wash cycle until it's dry- there's no problem. They're VERY quiet, notify you when they're done and overall a phenomenal buy for us! I'm glad we got them for 1/2 price because it is a huge buy but overall no issues whatsoever. We didn't want to buy the pedestals since they're a lot of money - so we built our own with wood and left a little cove underneath to store our laundry detergent and papertowels/toliet paper/supplies.

    Best Washer I've Ever Used

This is the first front-loader that I've owned. Not much to say ... it works great! Pull-out drawer for all liquids (detergent, bleach, softener) is good design...easy to keep clean and convenient location (we keep supplies on top of the machine). Our clothes smell GREAT when we take them out and they are clean. That's about all that matters, right? I tend to use the higher spin cycles, I love how the clothes much closer to "dry" after an extreme spin cycle. The machine seems to be self-leveling? Spin cycle has worked regardless of load. Lots of cycles ... I generally use only "normal" or "active wear". "normal" cycle will weigh the load and increase time if needed (bumps up the time 45m or more when I load it up with heavy towels, to 2hr 33min). Used "Sanitize" once (extra hot, steam, heavy duty clean), and the cycle went 3 hours!! Seems excessive, not sure I've ever had anything that needed that extreme cleaning but I guess I'm glad I have the option if I need it. I don't generally use the steam feature ... not sure why it is needed aside from sanitizing. Stains seem to come out without it. The window on the door + the interior light is great for seeing what's going on inside. I only wish the light switch wasn't a 5-min timer (but instead would stay on for the duration of the cycle). It's an LED bulb, takes almost no electricity and won't likely ever burn out). Storage drawer on bottom is handy ... we keep extra supplies there (although not yet used to it ... we've gone out to get more detergent, forgetting we had some in the drawer LOL). The cute little song it plays when the wash cycle ends is a conversation starter when we have visitors here. It's not so welcome when a baby is sleeping and we forget to mute it. :-)

    Excellent Washer for the Price

Bought this washer on sale for $799. This was basically a steal. This washer is fantastic. I can not stress that enough. The washer is extremely easy to use. Has plenty of different settings to use. The clothes come out fabulous. They smell good and are not soaking wet, only a little damp with helps with out with dryer times. The washer is really quite. Only noise I hear is when the water is draining and when the washer is in the spin cycle. The washer also looks pretty cool. I would have bought this washer at full price, but the fact that it was 50% off is actually highway robbery.

My washer had faulty drain pump, they did not had in stock had in stock, and they wasted more then a month. Almost I have might have done 20+ calls to customer care and around 5 -6 visits to store. Finally one customer rep was convinced that it had to be replaced and they did it in week. So i was doing laundry for more then a month at luandry centers, B never cared for customer pain.

    Absolutely Great So Far...

Since our 10 year old dryer conked out earlier in the year, my wife and I took notice of this pair as we initially replaced our dryer 6 months ago. Forgoing the steep price tag then, we purchased the washer and dryer pair at a phenomenal price during the pre-Black Friday event and could not be happier. The pair cleans and drys twice the load of our old washer dryer pair and no more taking our comforters to the laundry mat! The washer has a sanitize feature which is great since we have a dog who enjoys sharing her mud with us! The only annoyance is the chiming bells upon a cycle completion; thank goodness you can turn that off!

Samsung washer definitely not worth the price!

I bought the new Samsung - 4.3 Cu. Ft. 13-Cycle Steam Washer - Stainless Platinum model wf250abp/xaa and I hate that the clothes do not get washed properly. The washer always stinks really bad. Best Buy geek squad agent claims it's the soap I use, so I changed the soap to HE soap and the problem still persists. Now they claim this is a known problem and I need to buy AF Refreshner tablets once a week! This is crazy!!! Also residue is left behind because it uses very little water, so when it rinses it does not rinse well. They claim I know need to use 2 tbls spoons of soap not half of cup indicated by soap detergent brand. I feel like my family has to put on dirty close all the time because this piece of junk doesn't work. Definitely not worth the price. Considering buying a cheaper model. I only have 6 months with this washer. My older model I had for 11 years and never had a problem it was MAYTAG. I just went for the look and now I'm paying the price. Samsung should be embarrassed to sell a product of this quality. I thought I was buying top of the line, but all I paid was the high ticket price! Also dispenser overloads with water and you have to keep cleaning the dispenser because it fills up with water after use. Also if you use bleach it over flows and peels the silver lining on the washer.

I bought this thing thinking it was the latest and the greatest. All of the reviews said it was great. It's been more than two years now and my wife finally convinced me to spend the money on a new one. The unit still works fine but, it does not wash your cloths. This thing was designed to work for single type office folks with no kids. It does not take off any debris off of your cloths, it did not when it was new or now that it is broken in. We have tried all of the functions on it and we find ourselves puting in my little girls gerber laden cloths 2 or 3 times with no better results. The washer is working with no issues other than what was previously mentioned. The dryer failed once and it cost me $400. We just bought a standard washer for $500, hopefully it will last 12 years like the last one did.
