Good Washer B U T beware of dispenser!

Be aware of this problem when you consider purchasing this washer. When filling the liquid detergent dispenser it immediatly empties into the tub before you even get the fabric dispenser filled or even get the dispenser door pushed back in. If you are not finished loading your tub with soiled laundry and you have filled your detergent dispenser with liquid detergent ...well prepare to clean up a mess..if the washer door is open and your loading laundry.. the liquid detergent is dripping onto the floor from inside the door where the dispenser has already emptied into the tub....so much for the advertised DELAY FUNCTION...if you like detergent sitting on your clothes for 8hrs before the water starts with the wash cycle...
called samsung and explained the problem to see if this dispenser is suppose to work like this and I was told that this is a MALFUNCTION and that they are working on a SQUARE tray that should be out toward the end of Jan 09' . who Knows! I have to say..I am slightly let down and disgusted that dispenser is not working approp....
so there's you something to think about when considering buying this machine...

WOW! I finally love to do laundry!

This washer is rated as the most quiet among front-loaders and so far I have found that to be the case. Even odd items such as bath mats which often threw my old washer out of balance, spin out on high with very little sound and vibration. The fact that the machine automatically knows the size of the load is terrific--no guessing. Since this is the fourth appliance I have had to replace in 8 months, I was hesitant to invest so much in a washer. I am pleased to report that I do not regret the decision. My friends who have purchased lesser expensive models are envious!

I run a small breed dog rescue. We use fabric wee wee pads. I have to wash probably 10 - 15 of them a day with you can imagine what on them. In my old extra capacity top loader, I could wash 6 at a time if they weren't too bad and only 4 if they were particularly.... gross. Now, I can wash 12 at a time and they come out looking like brand new just about every time. The washer even got out old stains that my top loader couldn't. I have also moved into a new house which has a septic tank and love that this washer uses such a small amount of water per load. I have had the set for about 2 months now and wanted to be sure how I felt about them before writing the review and I have to tell you that I love them. Sometimes, I start a load and just stand there to watch my laundry for a few minutes - I know - it seems kinda nuts but I just can't believe what a great job they do. Yes, the wash times can be long - up to an hour and a half if you use the prewash but there is also a setting for Quick Wash - only 38 minutes - certainly comparable to any top loader. I use this setting on my personal laundry. The initial expense was high but I know that I'm saving money on water with every load and I imagine that my wee wee pads are going to last longer so I'll be saving money there as well. I kinda feel like this is the best money I've spent in a while. They are quiet and I don't notice any vibration at all. I love the set and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. I'd recommend them to anyone. Be sure to get the pedestals.

SUPER DELUXE WASHER

I HAVE HAD THIS WASHER FOR ALMOST A MONTH AND WE LOVE IT. OUR OLD WASHER HAD BEEN WITH US FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS AND LET ME TELL YOU THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE NEW WASHER MAKES THE OLD ONE LOOK PRETTY SAD. IT WAS LIKE GOING FROM A MODEL-T TO A FERRARI. THE SILVER CARE AND THE STEAM CLEANING WORK GREAT. THE CLOTHES COME OUT ALMOST DRY FROM THE SPIN AND SAVES TIME ON THE DRYING. SO, I GUESS THE EXTRA LONG WASH TIME IS MADE UP IN THE DRYER.

If you want your clothing clean, sanitized and nearly dried after a washed cycle, this is the washer for you. We have this washer on an elevated wood floor and thought it might vibrate too much not being on a solid floor such as a cement pad. Wrong, it works great with little vib. We got an awesome deal when we purchased this as it came with the pedestals for FREE. Can see having it without them as it would sit too low.

Excellent Washer

My husband and I have used the washer now for over 50 loads and are completely satisfied with the performance of this washer. The controls are easy to use; the size accommodates blankets, comforters, and towels with ease; and I have perfectly clean laundry every time. We use the extra rinse for every cycle since we have sensitive skin, and we want to ensure all the detergent has been thoroughly removed from the fabric. We have no problem with smell, since we ensure we dry the rubber coating and leave the door open for a half hour or so after final use. One other note is that I noticed the washer is a lot gentler on my clothes than my old washer. This latter point matters a lot to me since I have a lot of delicate and unique clothes. We did a lot of research prior to buying this washer and found this one had all the features we wanted, including being energy star efficient, and was the best value, especially since we got it on sale! We would also recommend getting the pedestals since they prevent constant bending.

Excellent washer! Love all the features. I like the Silver Care option for sanitizing. Was looking at the LG Steam washer, but decided to buy the Samsung. Glad I did. The pedestal is a must, esp if you are tall. I like the light inside the washer, too. The Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) is wonderful! Very happy with this purchase.

After shopping around for a new washer, we are glad we went with the Samsung. We looked at both colors and decided the White was better at hiding any scratches. We keep the washer in the garage and can't even here it running. Prices vary, so shop around for a good deal!

Smelling good with Samsung!

After much research and considering the Electrolux versus the Samsung. We decided to go with the Samsung due to the promotion that was offered at the time and I was getting steam in both the washer and drier whereas I would be out alot more money to get steam in the electrolux washer and drier...plus I got free pedestals...Purchased this set approx 3weeks ago and I really enjoy it.. the only drawback I have with this washer is that it still has mild vibration during spin cycle even after leveling...thought the VRT was suppose to fix that prob..I have the set on my 1st floor (living space)...the clothes come out smelling soooooo clean and as for stains.....whats that?....old stains are even removed with the steam cycle...cant find anything else in the house to wash...
husband even likes using it...THATS A FIRST!
If I didnt go with this set my next choice would have definitely been the Electrolux..
great product...loving it!

I love my new Samsung washing machine. I had the washer delivered along with the matching dryer. Best Buy delivery was top notch. My families laundry needs have really put this washer to the test and its perfomance has been great. The large capacity can handle our biggest loads and the clothes are spun very well taking much less drying time. My dryer can actually stay ahead of the washer now! I have used the settings available on this washer to remove stains that I thought would never come out. I did my research on washers before buying and found this one to be highly rated. It has lived up to its rating in this household.

what a great washer! We have this installed in a second floor closet in our house (over 100 years old). We installed 1/2 " plywood on top of the wood floor as a precaution because I read that front loaders can really cause a lot of vibration. This is definitely not a problem with this machine. Prior to getting this machine, I had a traditional top load washer a couple of feet away from where this is installed and I could always feel the vibration down the hallway laying in bed when it would go into the spin cycle. This thing doesn't budge.
The clothes really do come out alot cleaner than my old machine. It takes a while to get used to all of the different options (there are tons of them) to cleaning your clothes. Definitely worth the price, especially if your are installing upstairs.

I'm in love with my washer

When my 10 year old Maytag gave up, I researched online until I was blue in the face. It came down to Samsung or LG for me. My gut said go with the Samsung and I'm happy with my choice. (I don't think the LG comparable model had a "spin only" cycle which I occasionally need.) I don't have a large family, but with 2 toddlers we do lots of loads each week. 4.5 cu. ft. is not too big. I'd recommend to buy the largest capacity you can afford if you're doing wash for more than 1 or 2 people.
I also bought the matching Samsung Steam Dryer, love it too.

So Confused!

I am so confused why this washer is getting such great reveiws. First off this is the first thing that I have ever taken the time to review on the web. I feel like I should because lke you I read all of the reviews before my purchase. I didn't find any bad reviews on this washer so I thought that it was worth the money. I hate it. My first load was on clothes that we had been camping with. I did the heavy duty cycle and the clothes came out smelling like a campfire. I had to wash them twice, and yes I had the silver cycle on. I figured that mabey I didn't use enough soap so I continued with my laundering. Yes it is awesome at washing beadspeads because of it's capacity but I am hesitant if it really is getting them clean. I have purchased over 8 different kinds of soaps, oxi clean and clorox bleach 2 and I am still removing clothes with stains on them. I am also pre-treating them with shout. I took a recent shirt with a stain on it over to my mother in laws top loader with an agitater to see if I was crazy or if the stain really was set. Sure enough it came out. They say that this washer is easier on clothes but if the stain don't come out than you cannot wear them anyways. I am really trying to love this washer because all of the features and capacity seem so cool. I am hoping that mine is just mabey broken. I am torn if I should just pick out a different one or if I should try this one again. Also no soaking in this washer because it doesn't use enough water. I tried to soak something in a bucket with oxi clean, detergent and then poured it into the washer. When you start the cycle it totally drains the water out so all of that product is wasted. They say to just do the pre wash cycle but it puts the oxi clean on the clothes, washes for a few min, and instaed of then going to the regular wash cycle it then drains the pre wash detergent out and starts the regular wash. Why wouldn't it just wash the entire cycle with the oxi clean? I am sooooooo confused and frustrated! Please help if you have any advice.

Great if you want to wash clothes for 14 hours

Ok, where to start, first off the buttons stick. Had the washing machine for one day and the buttons stuck (the dryer too by the way). The hose does not drain properly either, so the washer leaks too. Still leaks. I have had this washer since Jan 2008. I bought it because I was due with twin girls in April 2008 and I needed a bigger washer and dryer to support the increase in clothing output. I have 4 kids now, add a husband and my mom, that is alot of clothes to wash. Anyway, back to the problems. If you put liquid detergent in the tray it leaks into the drum/machine before the proper drainage timeframe. I called service and I was told to not use liquid and to use powder, so why is there even a liquid option on the tray???? Why is liquid HE made?? Anyway, I HAVE to use this particular detergent, it is the only one that my family will not break out from. I can use anything, but my husband and my kids break out if I don't use a specific detergent, so there goes the powder option. Then there is the matter of the inside of the machine stinking....ugh, it stinks so bad. And I used all the washing machine cleaning products out there. Even the new one that Tide makes. I even wipe it down and leave the door open (as long as the room is locked I have two 2 year olds now). Nothing works. NEXT....come laundry day I only have 5 loads to do, but the cycles take about 2.5 hours each so that is about 14 hours spent just washing clothes!! I use 2 perminant press cycles, no special treaments either, just tide detergent, no steam, no pre-wash nothing, and then 2 gentle cycles, no special treatments either, and still it is about 2.5 hours each cycle to total about 14 hours washing. Then I have to transfer them to the matching Samsung dryer that also has sticking buttons that is supposed to sense when your clothes are dry yet stops and leaves them wet! yep! Fun. That Dryer then takes about another 2 hours per load to dry, so then there goes my entire day just to wash and dry laundry, I end up using the following day putting the clothes away. Let me put it like this. I started my laundry at 7am this morning and it is 10:50pm and I still have one load left waiting to go into the dryer. I only washed my twins' clothes, my husband's and my clothes. Not my mom's or my two older kids clothes. If I had done that then I would of been up until about 3 or 4am. Rediculas. I am going to sell this set to my dad who is single and has just his own clothes to wash and I am going to purchase the Electrolux model that is supposed to have faster cycles. I just don't have the TIME for this!

This washer performs very well and it cleans your clothes very well. I use the steam occasionally but I use the sanitize mode very often since my children are in sports and we own dogs. I cannot tell you how well the comp washer and dryers compare but I am very happy with my samsung steam washer and dryer.

Bad customer service

I did my homework when I purchased this Samsung set. It has good reviews. When they delivered it there were problems with my washer door. I looked up the reviews again. I noticed it had good reviews if the people did not have to deal with Samsungs customer service. The washer door did not line up properly. They sent out a tech and the tech said Samsung would not send out the part to fix the problem. He was told there was a known latch problem so they sent him a latch instead of the hinge. 4 calls, 4 live online sessions, 2 home visits and it is still not fixed. Do not call from work Samsung will not help you unless you are standing next to the unit (even though there were already open work orders and they had all of my info). The first home visit took a week and the second took 3 weeks. This put me over my thirty day return policy with Best Buy but they were awesome and extremely helpful. I am now going to try the Electrolux. I hear their service is much better!

I bought both the washer and dryer at the same time. I have never used a washer that gets the clothes so clean with virtually no wear or tear on the fabrics. Drying time is so short because the clothes are not that wet after the completion of the cycles. I am thrilled!!!
