Amazing TV, especially for the price. I rated sound a 4, but that's only because I'm going to purchase a surround sound system. For an average household that just needs a tv, the sound is perfect. I chose Samsung because they're a very good company. I also have a smaller Samsung computer monitor 22'' as well as another 32'' Samsung television.

Have to say that this is one great TV. The picture quality is amazing in it's clarity and color. I found the factory presets to be adquate for my needs. The menue is very easy to use. All in all I would say this LCD is head and shoulders above any comparable one. As a final nice touch the price was outstanding for a 40" LCD at $900.

The size and picture quality is perfect for the family

I have had this TV since the super bowl weekend. This is an excellent size for my apartment. I thought I would need something smaller, but this was well worth the investment. This is exactly what this TV is about. Make an investment to buy the TV with the higher quality. This is for sure the best I have ever seen.

We had a philips plasma before this TV and it blacked out on us so we decided to change directions and go with a LCD. After some research we found this TV to be the best value for the money. It not only has it surpassed our expectations, but it has a sharper, crisper picture. Couldnt be happier.

For the money you cannot buy a better tv. The picture quality is amazing. It looks as good as tv's that are more that twice the price. And if you have a 5.1 system which everybody should have anyways, the sound won't even matter. One of the best things I have ever bought.

For the money, and depending on the size of your room, the 40" B Series 530 model is arguably better than all the top 2008 A series models, even those using 120Hz. I concentrated mostly on Blu-Rays (not a big TV sports guy) and even the fastest paced movies e.g, BLACK HAWK DOWN, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, and BATMAN BEGINS, exhibted no motion blur or judder because of the 6ms refresh rate. The resolution and black levels are better than the A Series 650, 750, and 850 models. So you're basically getting last years best Sumsung LCD model with better picture at hundreds of dollars less . 120Hz is still ideal (mostly for sports), but is basically unnecessary with this TV, especially on a 40". Even for the most discriminating eye, it would be very difficult to tell if there are any artifatcs because you'll be fully immeresed in the movie or game you're playing. Samsung has outdone themselves and continues to get better every year.

I have been looking at televisions for the past 6 months. This TV came highly recommended and I am so glad I bought it. I bought another TV for my bedroom (prior to buying this one) and I am so disappointed in it after watching this TV. The sound and picture is great.

Beautiful clarity, the colors are crisp & the picture looks awesome from any distance/ angle. I had the Geek Squad hang it on the wall & they were quick, efficient & educational along the way. I highly recommend the TV & it was sure was worth the professional install!

Picked this up on sale for $799 with service plan. Crisp quality, bright screen, and very nice looking. Can wait to have a game night with this and my 1080p "110 projection screen. Highly recommend to all medium budgeted Television buyers

Have been looking for a new 40 inch TV several months, after looking at many different models this was the best TV for the price. Very happy with this TV and would recommed to to anyone looking for a similar TV.

I love this TV it is awesome. I mean the pricing is affordable and not too expensive. The picture is great, the sound is clear, and it looks sleek. It isn't too big and looks outstanding in any household.

My husband and I bought this TV and we just love it. It has an awesome picture, extremely clear and great sound. It really is the focal point of our living room. Samsung is such a great product overall.

Great product for the price. The picture and sound quality are excellent. The HDMI connectors on the back are a little fragile and i've had some issues with losing connection.

We bought this TV for a 80th birthday present for my Mother-in-law. They love the set. They really like the swivel base. They have set the TV between the living room and dinning room so now they can turn TV so they can watch easily from both rooms. I was a little disappointed that there was not programing instructions with the remote to use it with DVD. We did buy them a new Samsong DVD player at the same time.

If you don't need the extras, like pip or internet widgets, this basic Samsung does the job for the same price as as a 32 inch Westinghouse cost a few years ago. The only weak area would be the internal speakers. You really need an external sound system, or home theater in a box to round it out, but then that's probably the case for just about any tv these days.

I've have the TV for about 6 weeks and it works great. Basicly all I did was plug it in and scanned for channels and it was ready to go. I have basic cable and with the scan the TV also picked up over the air channels. I mean local HD channels. From 480i to 1080i. I did not expect that. I also bought the Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc player. Because of the Anynet+, just plug it in to the TV, set the time and it is good to go. All Samsung's Anynet+ will marry together without any problems.

This is the best TV I have ever purchased. I would highly recommend it to everyone that is interested in buying a TV today

I was very dissatified with the clarity of the picture. The best way to describe it, is blurry. A TV of this size should not be sold in 60hz because the picture looks like a strectched photo. So, I exchanged my TV for a Samsung 120z, the picture is great, without using an HDMI cord!!!!
