We purchased this for the bedroom. It's the perfect size. Set up was easy, and has all the options I wanted Plus.

Happy with this tv overall, however the volume is not being recognized from the remote from time to time. Brought back and replaced within 15 days of purchase. The replacement is doing the same thing. Contacted Samsung and they re-set remotely. Worked for a few days and started doing it again. Only solution seems to be unplugging it and then plug it back in. Disappointing for a $600 TV.

This is my 2nd 40" Samsung as I loved the first one. Great picture quality and color. Also the smart tv functions are fantastic. The sound is very good as well

Great smart tv. Very user friendly, easy access to Netflix, etc. It also has screen mirroring with your tablet or smartphone. Easy to set up. Great picture also

This TV has a fantastic picture. It is so clear, it almost seems odd. The depth of field in some HD movies or TV shows is clearer than what my eyes normally focus on or my camera normally focuses on. The color is very true to real life. I love the way the image goes right to the edge of the TV. The set up is more awkward than it should be. We have had simpler set up with other brands.

I purchased the Samsung TV because of picture quality and features on this smart TV. And Best Buy prices.

Great picture & features in a size that fits our space. Very impressed with the quality of the picture - clarity, sharpness, and brilliant color.

Needed a quick replacement for a 55" Panasonic Plasma that needed a new board (2 - 4 weeks on back order). This unit found its way to the bedroom when the Panasonic returned. Although smaller than what we were used to, picture was comparable to the plasma. Only con: my hearing aid acc'y uses a digital sound jack, but on this TV, I was not able to activate both the TV speakers AND the digital output jack. Luckily, I had a "work around" available. 40" is a little large for the bedroom, but not that intrusive.

I bought this TV for my bedroom and am very satisfied. The picture is very clear and there is a depth of color found in more expensive TV's. I also purchased this TV because it had four HDMI inputs, most TV's this size only have two. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the picture is a little jittery.

Easy to set up, and amazing picture quality whether you are gaming or watching movies. Favorite movies seem new again: the picture makes it feel like you are looking through an open window at the action. Gaming experience is equally impressive. I highly recommend this tv. Sound quality from built in speakers is impressive, as well. Great value in a tv!

Great TV for price! Purchased 4 for my office and they clarity and crispness of the picture, especially during action sequences, is amazing! Always purchase Samsung products and this one doesn't let down either, will definitely purchase again and recommend to friends!!!

We picked this model up for our new outdoor patio and it's working out great! Motion refresh rate keeps up with sports (football & basketball) just fine and screen glare is minimal. Extreme angle viewing isn't the best but I've found that true in most TVs since plasmas went away. Smart features are also great for playing pandora or YouTube vids. Thin bezels gives is nice clean lines too. All around getting job done!

Samsung makes a very nice TV. It is easy to set up and to program. The picture is excellent.

I was in the market for a tv for the guest room (which doubles for my gaming room). I was originally looking for something a little smaller, but quickly found out the bargain was in the slightly larger screen size. Again...check the circulars for sale prices. Keep in mind super bowl Sunday and March madness are the time to buy. Other than the typical sound limitations, I have zero complaints about this Samsung tv.

I bought this TV to fit a specific cabinet in a secondary room. Its the only 40" tv i could find that overall was small enough to fit. That basically means it has a very minimal band around the screen. All other TV of this over all size, only had a 32" screen. So for what its worth, its a large screen in a small package. Its a samsung, so the picture is very good. Its not a 4k tv, but at that size, its probably not worth the upcharge, as its not really a noticeable difference at 40".

Picture quality is supurb ! The SMART features are amazing and it has lots of input options.
