I purchased this 40 inch tv for a master bedroom. I think it's the perfect size. Anything much bigger gives off too much light for a bedroom. I watch mostly sports and this tv does well for motion. A lighted remote would have been helpful for dark rooms. Only improvements would be the remote and the sound, but sound on most tv's is questionable these days.

I was specifically looking for a 40" 4K UHD TV that came with a stand on the smaller side in order to fit on a TV stand that fits a 32'-40' TV. It is the perfect fit, looks sleek, super slim, and the picture quality is great. Happy with my upgrade.

I bought this TV on Cyber Monday. It was an excellent value. By and large it is a great TV for what I paid. Let's start with the CONS. When the TV was shipped, the packaging was slightly mangled. When the TV was unwrapped, there we two small cracks on the left side of the bezel. It was not visible on the front of the TV, so I did not return the TV (I didn't want to risk a "refurb" replacement if it was returned, because the rest of the TV was mostly fine). The sound from the downward speakers do not sound great. Certain passages sound muted. I adjusted some settings, and it sounded a little better. But still, I'd say the sound is mediocre at best. You'd definitely need a speaker system, sound bar, or subwoofer to enhance the sound. I just use a subwoofer. There can also be a slight delay with sound and video. There is an adjustment, but sometimes, it seems not adjustable. The remote is a little cheap. Buttons are too close. But, it does the job. There are no controls on the TV itself. This, I think is a big minus, especially for those with kids. Remotes get lost and turning off the TV is a hassle when you have to find the remote. The unit itself is very light. Doesn't weigh like a quality TV would. But, when you turn it on, the PROS begin: The brightness is very good. Again, it takes adjustment, but it can be adjusted to a very good viewing level. Colors are nice and mostly balanced. Jutter does exist. There is an adjustment, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. If you look for jutter, you will see it. If you don't look for it, you mostly won't notice it. This TV is actually 60Hz, not 120Hz. It has some sort of simulated 120Hz, but it is really not that effective. Focus and clarity is what I thought was the best thing about this TV. The picture is so clear, you can see people's pimples and stubble on medium sustained shots. Rendering (upscaling) of non high definition content is excellent. DVDs look like BluRay, BluRay looks like 4K. The menu system is fairly intuitive. Navigating through different functions and different internal menus (ie, Neflix and Amazon) was easy. The rendition of Netflix and Amazon is where some of the jutter exists. The USB port does play different media. I tried MP4 and mkv. They work quite well. Wifi and direct ethernet work. Surprisingly, wifi was just as fast as direct ethernet. I read somewhere that there were some problems with wifi. I didn't experience them. One thing it didn't have on this model was bluetooth. So, I would have to use the USB for the mouse and keyboard. I think it can use bluetooth usb as well. But, turned out not to matter much because the web browser does not play Flash (and it won't anytime soon from what I read). So, that takes away a lot website access. Therefore, I don't use the browser that much (the interface is not so great anyway). DO NOT buy this TV for the web-browser. You will be disappointed. Other than that, I would say the functionality of the TV is great. For what I paid, it is excellent TV for the value. Recommend buy if you get it on sale and if this is your first 4K TV.

Great picture, multiple settings for gaming and watching videos. I got this for a great deal. It's a good size for studio apartments. You will love the quality and it's features

The television is another great Samsung product. The screen isn't as big as other tv's, but that is unnoticed with the high quality of the image. All the smart functions make the television a full powerhouse of entertainment.

Its a great picture plus the smart features on the tv are amazing. Plus you can mirror if you got a samsung phone straight on to the tv..so that means what u have on your phone you can mirror that same image on the tv another great feature.

Bought thisTV as a gift for my parents for a relatively smaller living room. It looks great and sounds great for the money. I'm sure there are better specs for a bigger price but for this brand, the price competes well with lesser brands.

This Television is a great buy! It does everything!

Picture is awesome for the price. Luckily my PC can drive this pixel level (not "true" 4K but the version many call UHD-1...which is still really nice). When I first plugged it in and set it up I was going to cry. Here was this great price from best buy with a great picture but the lag was something awful. It basically made games unplayable. I did root around a find a game mode setting that made things better though. Warning there is still a noticeable lag, and I know it hurts my multiplayer FPS games, but its close enough that I can live with it personally but it is a true tradeoff and if there was a real affordable gaming monitor at this size/resolution I'd have bought that in a heartbeat over this. In the absence of something like that though, I'm loving and hating this monster :)

Bought this TV for a bedroom. Nice picture, very sharp, and since it is a smart TV, can watch Netflix and Amazon prime. It was an open box purchase, geek squad certified, so was a great value, too!

So far the TV is great.TV shows and more with 4x the picture quality of Full HD. Plus, Smart TV lets you stream content from popular services like YouTube and Netflix, surf the Internet and check your social networks.

We had never had a 4K tv, but the reviews were positive and the price was really good so we took a chance. I am glad we did. The wifi setup was easy, the picture is absolutely stunning, the sound is good (not great) and installation was a breeze. My son and I took an older tv off the wall and the bolt pattern matched. It took us less than 10 minutes to install. We have another Samsung tv and know the kind of picture they have and expected a good picture, but the quality of the 4K tv is beyond our expectations. We highly recommend this tv.

Great TV for the price. I was looking to upgrade my bedroom TV from an older 32 inch Samsung. The picture quality is very good and all the smart TV features work as expected.

I wasn't expecting great color and resolution for the price but was very happily surprised when I connected it. On regular HDTV mode it's very good, with 4K sources its great.

I bought this tv during the pre-black friday sale for $450. Bought specifically for gaming and wanted a 4K tv so I could sit up close. I have other samsung LEDs in the house and this tv looks better than the others. If you're a gamer and are looking for something just for you, this is it!

Great picture easy to set up great viewing for bedroom picture is great out of box but I tweak it for my viewing easy to do easy instructions to put on stand plug it up and go to town having fun.

This TV has a crystal clear picture and we love the smart TV functions. Has all the qualities of a top notch set but without the huge price tag. It is a decently priced TV I would buy it again.

This tv offers excellent picture, great color, and clarity. The only downside is that the smart hub apps can be somewhat glitchy and slow at times; however this depends on the app itself.

Great picture, and very easy to configure. Haven't tried all the features yet, but everything so far has worked as expected. Looking forward to trying the rest.

Excellent picture quality with superb colors and color accuracy. The smart tv functions work great and the updates keep coming. Great tv for the smaller room.
