I'm replacing a Samsung 34” curved OLED monitor with this 40” Odyssey. Between the two, the 40” has a much more dramatic curve to it. Given it's size (width), it actually works well. It does take a little getting used to, and I'm no stranger to curved displays. I use a 48” curved monitor at work all day so this isn't new to me and this curve actually works well for my home office workspace. I've always used an after market desk mounted monitor arm. I find I can push the monitor back further this way rather than using the included stand, which would put the monitor in several inches from the back of my desk, which doesn't work well for my setup and brings the monitor way to close. The G75F does allow you to use a desk or wall mount arm and offers VESA 75 or VESA 100 mounting options. While you can certainly use an arm like this, the included trim ring will only work with the included Samsung stand. Not a deal breaker but very disappointing as I have the back of my desk facing into the room. I loosely fit the trim ring in place which works ok, but they clearly don't provide any alternative trim ring options to finish off your look. Given that my previous monitor was an OLED, I was used to very rich, clear colors. The G75F does produce some pretty good colors and after monkeying around with all the settings, I was able to achieve some really decent results. Very close to what I experienced with my 34”. The display is quite clear, but take the time to go through all the different mode settings in the monitor menu to get the one that looks best for you. I have an NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics card, and I chose the “Graphic” mode. That seemed to work the best for me. After getting everything tweaked to my liking, I found that my games looked really good. My go to game lately is Doom The Dark Ages. It has tons of great light and dark chapters that really let a monitor shine in terms of shadows and contrast, not to mention color depth. The G75F performed really well with FreeSync Premium Pro enabled and HDR. The monitor was able to keep up with the Gameplay and I didn't notice any tearing or unreasonable blurring. The graphics looked quite good and the screen curve offered a realistic view of the action without turning my head more than slightly. It offered a really good gaming experience. The adjustment buttons on most monitors I've used are at best, quasi-intuitive. Most of them leave you guessing how to change options and save what you've selected. The G75F really shines here. The center bottom placement of the menu input select control doesn't leave you hanging, and when you use the up, down left or right keys, it actually shows you what each one does, removing the guesswork. It goes one step further by showing a brief explanation of the menu options as you cycle through them. This is great. So many times name brand companies just assume you're familiar with all their quirky little buzz words but leave you wondering what changing a setting will actually do. This is truly something that I've seen Samsung struggle with in the past and it's nice to see this emphasis on the user interface for a change. The input ports are just what's needed, offering you 2-HDMI 2.1 ports, a Display Port 1.4, 2-USB-A ports and a headphone jack. Audio speakers are thankfully omitted, which didn't however, prevent Windows from wanting to set the monitor up as the sound source (presumably the headphone jack). This became annoying so I just removed the monitor as a sound source altogether from the sound options setup screen. Overall, this is a nice monitor. The size is perfect for my home setup, and the curved design makes games feel very immersive. I will say that the farther off center you view it from, the colors do start to wash out quite a bit. This may be inherent with a curved monitor, but I don't really notice it with my monitor at work or my 34” curved, at least not as much. I do like the fact that the G75F doesn't try to do anything but be a good monitor. By that I mean there's no “smart” features like streaming channels or wanting to be your music streamer. It's happy just being your trusty monitor and that's all. If you're looking for a monitor this size, it's a display that won't break the bank while still offering the important options a lot of people look for.

This Samsung curved monitor has been a great upgrade for both gaming and productivity. The 4K image is sharp, colors are vibrant, and the 165 Hz refresh rate makes games feel very smooth, especially fast-paced titles and flight simulators. The curve helps immersion and makes the screen easier to read from edge to edge. The menu takes a little time to get used to and the stand is quite large, so you need enough space on the desk. Built-in speakers are also nothing special, so I still prefer using external audio. Overall, it’s an excellent monitor with strong performance and image quality, just a few small drawbacks that keep it from being perfect.

I tested it with an i9 processor and a 4060 Ti GPU, and while most games ran beautifully, ARK gave me a little trouble. At full screen resolution, I was only getting 16–25 FPS. It’s playable if you dial down the graphics settings a bit, but don’t expect buttery smooth performance on ultra settings for demanding titles without a top notch GPU to power this large screen. On the flip side, Cyberpunk 2077 looked fantastic. I ran it at full quality and the graphics were stunning—crisp textures, vibrant lighting, and smooth gameplay. It really showed off what this monitor can do when paired with a well-optimized title. Where this monitor truly shines is with racing and flight sims. Games like Assetto Corsa or Microsoft Flight Simulator I’m sure feel incredible on this display. The curved screen and ultrawide aspect ratio will make cockpit views feel natural and immersive, like you’re really in the driver’s seat or flight deck. And since those games tend to be less GPU-intensive, you get the full visual experience without sacrificing performance. One subtle but stylish bonus: the adjustable LED lighting on the back panel. It adds a nice ambient glow that enhances the mood, especially during late-night sessions. It’s a small touch, but it makes the whole setup feel more premium. Also worth noting, the controls are intuitive and offer a ton of customization. Whether you're tweaking refresh rates, adjusting color profiles, or setting up game-specific presets, the interface makes it easy to dial things in just the way you want. And here’s something that’s often overlooked: all the necessary cables are included. No last-minute runs to the store or digging through drawers for a spare HDMI. It’s a small convenience, but it makes setup smooth and frustration-free. Final thoughts: If you’re into sim-style games or want a cinematic workspace, the Odyssey G7 40" is a beast. Just be aware that not every game will run flawlessly at max settings, especially if it's graphically demanding, without the latest GPU . But for immersion, style, and sheer screen real estate? It’s hard to beat.

The Samsung Odyssey G75F curved gaming monitor is the newest in the Odyssey lineup for Samsung and it is pretty impressive to say the least. The Samsung Odyssey G75F touts a 180Hz refresh rate with a 1 millisecond response time for buttery smooth gameplay. The curved 40 inches of screen real estate just envelopes you and pulls you into whatever content that you’re consuming. I replaced my previous flat monitor with this one and I am never going to back to a flat display again. On the back of the monitor for display connections you have 1 display port and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. Also on the back of the monitor there is RGB lights that you can sync with your games which I thought was pretty cool. Build quality in my opinion is excellent. The Samsung Odyssey G75F comes with a beefy monitor stand that is heavy duty metal which I appreciate which makes it feel solid on my desktop with no wobble. Some other nice features that this monitor includes are auto source switch+ where the monitor auto detects when connected sources are turned on without having to switch your source. Then there is also the picture by picture feature which allows you to pull up to two different inputs simultaneously on the main display! Also included in the box you’ll get an HDMI cable, USB C cable, power cable and a remote. I’d definitely recommend this monitor if you’re looking for a new gaming monitor.

It is a huge monitor manufactured with quality components. The picture is sharp and clear and can be adjusted to my specific specifications. The pixels are tightly compressed with no running or bleeding of colors. Games look great and arcade quality, with this monitor. The field of view (FOV) is expanded within all games from right to left creating a wider gaming area. The curved screen promotes a better way to view games than a conventional rectangular screen. The screen is omni directional, which can control the movement of various viewing angles, when moving left, right, up or down. In rear of monitor is a Webcam grove track that securely maintains the Webcam at various specific positions. I have an older Samsung widescreen monitor I am coming from. There are some nice updates and overall this is a solid monitor for work and gaming. On the business side, I used to run a dual monitor setup. Having a super wide monitor makes workflow so much easier owner dual monitors. Unless you had 2 of the exact same monitor I always had issues with moving data from One screen to the other. I can run to full screens side by side.i have run one full page on one side and 2 apps on top of each other on the other side of the monitor. There is no included webcam. The connections on the back are much better than previous monitors. We had to squeeze the cables into a tiny port area. Now we have much better access to the ports. I think the backlight is good. O can’t say I totally notice it when playing a game. For gaming the super wide screen can be good or bad. For steam games, having the super wide monitor does not seem to distort the graphics. I still have a great picture. I have noticed some native games don’t like the wide screen and you may need to play in a single pane on your monitor and not use the full screen. My refresh rate is good, no lag. I am using a GeForce RTX 3080 One complaint. Same as previous versions of this. The monitor will randomly shut off. It may flicker. It has even tripped the computer to reboot

Crisp text, vivid colours, and fantastic motion handling. It almost feels like an IPS screen; the curve might feel intense, but it is very usable and does not bother you. Having used IPS displays all my life, I was hesitant to go with a VA panel, but so far I have not faced any of the typical VA issues apart from the narrow viewing angle, but that really doesn't affect the day-to-day unless you have someone sitting/standing next to you to view the screen.

Zero complaints, it is exactly what you think it is, the monitor has great colors and resolution. Only small critique is that the blacks are not as deep as my second monitor. I may have to mess around more with the settings to dial it in perfectly. I also got this on a best buy sale so it made this a no brainer to pick up.

Amazing picture and refresh rate for its size. While the curved monitor space may get some criticism to me it give grater immersion while you are playing most games.

Excellent monitor. I use it for gaming and for work. Obviously does brilliant for gaming with the high refresh rate and 4K resolution, as well as the screen size. Also does great for work as the screen is big enough to have 4 tabs open, which is very helpful as someone who writes code.

The Samsung Odyssey g75f is a massive monitor. It’s curved allowing for it to wrap around your visions, immersing you into the display. The colors are vibrant and the screen is bright. The high refresh rate makes it perfect for gaming. Overall I thoroughly enjoy this monitor especially at the price compared to other similar monitors.

Overall I've been very happy with this as a productivity/software dev monitor with my Macbook Pro M4 Max. I tried to use an OLED and the subpixel layout really bothered me—text was not clear. This VA panel, however, has been great. It's not quite the same as an IPS panel but definitely usable and not distracting like the OLED was. I love the extra real estate the extra width gives me. I used to be a die-hard 4k guy, but I'm now sold on this resolution (or wider!) for productivity. I have not played games on this monitor so I can't comment on that.

Let's start with cons first, of which there are a few. - No speaker but includes 3.5mm jack input. However, 3.5mm doesn't really work when I used my headphone. - 3.5mm, perhaps 2nd one, should probably be placed in front of monitor but location is right in the back next to DP, HDMI, other plugs. - Auto Source Switch+ doesn't work. Some reviews claim it is a firmware issue. I just know it doesn't switch between laptop and desktop only when one is on, when trying one or the other. - This leads to having to use physical button daily. For work with laptop, gaming with desktop, one would have to constantly use button and if button stops working from daily use, this ends up being a bad investment. So, I would recommend getting DP or HDMI switch. These cons aren't deal breaker enough for me to justify returning/exchanging right now. I do plan on getting DP or HDMI switch that can handle hi rez, hi refresh rates to mitigate the auto switching issue. Pro (so far) - Wonderful 5K2K resolution, making viewing real estate much better for remote work and gaming - 120hz to 180hz frame rate, where I used to play with just 60hz. This increased rate makes overall PC and gaming experience way more pleasant. - One of the more affordable 5K2K major brand monitors that exist on market right now - Very light for its size, which I believe is less than 20lb, making it a good option to use monitor arm mount. - Picture in Picture option: allows one to use two sources at once - 1000R curvature: That to me a sweet spot compared to a more aggressive 800R curvature.

I used this monitor to upgrade from 2 31.5" 165hz 4k monitors to reclaim some desk space. The picture and set up is great and the base is solid. Good Color reproduction and game immersion. If you are on windows, learn to use Fancy zones so you can customize your snap layout, on Mac I prefer Magnet. The one thing that could be improved is the auto detect for swapping between inputs. Since I use both a Mac and a PC and will swap between the 2, my previous monitors did a good job of recognizing that HDMI was active not Displayport or vice versa, and would not jump back unless there was no signal. This monitor will jump back when on one input if the other wake up even if you didn't intend...so I turned off auto detect...next up is playing with the picture beside picture options.

I was picking between this and the LG 45" OLED monitor. While that monitor was superior in color, I compared it with this and this won in pixel density. I cannot get past that in 2026, I would get reminded of a CRT monitor because of visible pixels so I picked this. I am glad I did. Colors are awesome and no regrets whatsoever!

Great monitor perfect size. The brightness is great and the ratio going up to the 5120 helps with images not seeming stretched.

This. Screen. Is huge.. we can have multiple tabs open for work, its great! Also has lighting in. The. Back. To reflect off the wall, great screen!!

Great monitor when on sale. Picked this over OLED due to being work at home IT. Its just the right size at 40' and is a great addition to my other 2 monitors. If you're gaming, make sure you have a good gpu. This is a lot of pixels!
